  • Jersey · 1 year ago
omg she's toast come the debate. She should really drop out before it comes to that or I'm gonna have to feel sorry for her.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    Great minds think alike.
Just noticed you used SHE'S TOAST too!
It's over for the GOP ... OBAMA IS OUR NEXT PRESIDENT IN 2008!

Well color me surprised. How apropos.

Her LIES make her perfect for the republiCON party!
    She's toast.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
if you buy bridges, Sarah Palin would have you believing that that Republicans invented honesty, integrity, character, honor, decency, compassion, charity (LOL), decency, etc. Personally, I've so far managed to avoid buying any bridges. Well, not really. I panicked and voted for Gore and then Kerry. Yeah, I'll vote for Obama too, but Democrats sell you only shares in the bridge, not asking you to buy the whole bridge. So, I've never bought the whole bridge.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Concerning the national media, Brian Williams read ,in full, a statement from Joe Klein asking the media to stand firm in continuing reporting on the facts of Sarah Palin. Stand firm, yes they better stand firm because otherwise this nation is doomed where free speech is concerned
  • shrrrr · 1 year ago
The press is getting pissed. They are not going to go along with this. Maybe there is a God? I dunno.

    And, yeah, she's toast.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
I told you she has been getting a free pass as a reformer for days now.

She wants to rape Alska like an 18 year o....

    Never mind...you get the picture.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Got to CNN and vote in their quick vote about the speech...
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Commentator on CNN said she mocked community organizers and the audience laughed .....and that that is going to tick a lot of Americans off.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Rudy said Obama wants more terrorism.

Palin is pretty confident that Biden and Obama are retards.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
    CNN poll on Palin speech:
    http://www.cnn.com/

    Thumbs up 43%
    Thumbs down: 45%
    Didn't watch 12%
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
there is one on MSNBC...I'm sure there is one on FOX News too...
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Maybe she thinks Community Organizers get paid well.
  • WhoAmI · 1 year ago
Just donated another $25 to Obama! Defeat the dark side!
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Bet the press is glad McCain got that free ride.
There's a reason she feels this comfortable.
  • Eyeball_Kid · 1 year ago
I felt dirty after watching her speak. She was truly disturbing. I know that she was reading from words crafted by a bevy of speechwriters, at least one of which was Bush 43's speechwriter, but this was truly a call to low-brow politics all the way.

I was disturbed not only by her delivery and her rhetoric, but by the audience who seemed to think that Palin was the answer to their prayers. In my opinion, she was insulting to the independent voter, who characteristically want nothing to do with this radical right wing culture war approach to politics. Most independents now know that the time for this kind of drivel has passed, that there are far more pressing problems to be faced today.
  • Happy_Housewife · 1 year ago
Eyeball_Kid, it's important to remember that she was speaking to the Republican Convention. Even people that didn't agree with here - and I sure there were many in that room - have to put on an enthusiastic show.

Speaking of that, any attendance counts for Sarah's speech?
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26536487/

Another poll to vote in. Not looking good for Sarah.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
That poll like the CNN one, is way too close. There sure are a bunch of idiots in this country.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Well I'm sure the repubs are saying they liked it. The fact that more don't is great news. I was afraid some would show more liking it than not. I can't find a fox poll. Maybe they are afraid of the results.
  • Happy_Housewife · 1 year ago
If anyone from the Obama campaign reads this, I think it would be great to release a document refuting inaccuracy she spouted this evening. Make it available in PDF format, so we can print it out and hand it around.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
I was just waiting for her to use the N-word. Biden's been out "discovering himself"?

I can't believe she said that!!!!
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
Any informed person for years has known that the only thing to come out of a republican's mouth is lies and vomit. It seems to energize their base. There is a reason that she has an eighty percent approval rating in Alaska and it's not pretty. We've got to hit her with every lie she spouts. Never forget...

"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis.
  • Happy_Housewife · 1 year ago
Actually, the 80% approval rating is another lie. The last rating for her was 64%. She's tracking downward, but this nomination might up it a bit.
  • AlaskanWoman · 1 year ago
It also never comes out that she kept the federal money after scrapping the bridge project... Also more streeeetching of the truth...What taxes did she lower here exactly? We don't have state sales taxes or income taxes in Alaska.
Wrong woman for the job!!!! Yes, she "ousted" the most unpopular govenor in history, but a trained chimp could have done so as disgusted as us citizens were with his pompous DC handling of the state. Fought corruption? Please- It was the FBI who investigated & prosecuted the corrupt legislators NOT Palin.
It is scary that the US citizens could be bamboozled by this ill-thought manipulative, hail-mary pass by McCain.
  • GrMtGirl · 1 year ago
Many truths remained hidden and will if one is to rely on MSM . . . This lady spells disaster if McCain gets in and dies in office. Wake up people!
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
He knows he's dying and he is a plant from North Vietnam.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
I'd bet my house that she's been so shielded the last 4 days that she has no clue how she's been "vetted" again!
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
4 days ago Cindy was wearing a pinl cast. Tonight she was handed Bristol's baby.

    No politics there.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
    ..........pink
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
I thought the cast was on way to long myself. Did anyone see Cindy's interview with Katie Couric? She believes abortion should be legal. Katie pressed her on it again, but gave her a pass by saying it should be up to the states.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Yaeh, I wonder how many times they've really discussed it? republicans had the House for 12 years and never once voted to end abortion.

Tom DeLay didn't have the power to get it through.......like he did those 3 Energy Reform Bills that raised gas prices?
  • GrMtGirl · 1 year ago
The speech was written for her . . . doesn't take too much talent after 3 days of practice to sound somewhat professional. She played to the already strong right . . . didn't help in the area of fence sitters or Independents.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
    McSame just clinched the nomination.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
No word on Levi getting that job as a State Trooper?
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
Please please Obama campaign, give us and the media talking points. Dems must saturate the airwaves and editorial pages.

Please put these liars on the defense from now til the election.

Please call out these liars over and over and don't give them a chance to breathe.

This election is the most important in our lifetimes....the Dems must win. Our democracy will not survive another radial Republican agenda.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
It's a shame that shed pull up her mini and shit on a Community Organizer.
  • GrMtGirl · 1 year ago
Panning the audiance . . . I could not see one black person in the crowd . . . read in another blog all white and basicaly in their 60's and 70's!
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
I saw a lot of 30 to 40 year olds. Palin does play well to the base. It doesn't matter that her speech was written by other people, it's enough to win them over after all the media's nastiness. They know her now and they love her. WTF???? These people are surely brainwashed. How can people be so stupid. Our education system really does suck.
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
Irish betting houses are laying odds on just how many of the will live to see the end of McCain's first term.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I saw two. They were cleaning up after the nomination vote.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Wow, Andrea Mitchell, tracked down a Republican California Barbie who said Palin won her over with the "security issue." BWAH hahahaaaaa! Wonder how long she practiced that reaction... Good job, Andrea, finding someone to pretend to have been won over by that lame assed LYING speech.

Oh, how sweet, she feels like Palin "spoke to her." LOL!

Andrea "That was the 'target audience.'" Yea, a DELEGATE at the convention was the TARGET AUDIENCE? LOL!
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Yeah, I just saw that. Just how the hell does she think Sarah can keep her safe???
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
She doesn't, but its a nice sound bite.

Then again, maybe she thinks Sarah can fight off Russia because she is a PTA Mom?
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Anyone hear the words Republican or Bush?
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
To listen to her speak you'd think the Democrats had been in power for the last eight years.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
    The same with Mutt's speech.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Nope, I haven't even seen many Republicans! If they are there, they are doing a good job of hiding out. Olympia Snowe is about the only one I've seen around this evening. Their little party sure is pathetic.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Reid called Palin shrill according to CNN. They are painting it as woman bashing.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
I believe she has lost it in gaining what McCain needs as voters.

Most woman are much smarter than that.
  • FightBack · 1 year ago
Along with myself, Sarah Palin just insulted millions of hard working, well-intentioned and yes, God fearing Americans throughout this country. Her sarcasm at people involved in community groups just made my resolve to fight for a resounding Democratic victory in November all the stronger. I have been involved in community groups on a volunteer basis for more years than I care to mention..... in both small town America and big city America. Many of the millions of Americans who volunteer for these positions are not seeking fame or glory. We fight for our communities on a daily basis sometimes, as I have, to rid neighborhoods of gangs, drugs and other criminal elements. We fight developers who leave communities with broken promises and yes, we even fight for respect and action from lackluster governmental agencies. Sarah Palin, you are wrong to poke your finger in my eye and that of the millions of other true Americans. The Democrats need to jump on this issue and do it quick!
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Someone has a big Keating Five sign right behind Tweety. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    McCain Memo: 'Respectful Campaign':
Throughout his life John McCain has held himself to the highest standards and he will continue to run a respectful campaign based on the issues.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
The CNN blog is burning SP at the stake, as are many other blogs.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I was reading some of the comments on CNN, holy crap, and we thought we were tough. She is, as you aptly put, being burned at the stake. Wow, not liked at all. I added my .02 too...
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
I still want the story on the husband. I don't care if it's a sin to go after her family or not.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I still want her husband. I don't care if it's a sin to go after him or not.
  • alaskan · 1 year ago
Have some sympathy. Imagine - 20 years!
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
I want him, too. But just for a quickie.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
What's with the huge ass screen behind her? She looks like a mouse with specs under it.
  • marijo · 1 year ago
I am BEGGING the MSM to ask the questions that need to be asked, even if the republican smear machine tries to drown them out. Do your jobs!!!
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
Then go to their sites and email them, call them and tell them. When the tell lies, email or call them and tell them that, too. Get in their faces. Posting here is nice, but they won't hear you.
  • Wild_Weasel · 1 year ago
Sarah Palin trashes the tough, good and decent work of community organizers.

    She's definitely an elitist.
  • FloridaMom · 1 year ago
I thought she had good presense and delivered well - will that help with the price of, and our dependence on oil, the record national debt, America's standing in the world, jobs going overseas, the mortgage crisis and people losing their homes, and the broken credit card industry and record personal debt, and healthcare being the #1 reason for personal bankruptcy, and the Iraq war, and the middle east, and the billions spent on the war each month, and how will we pay for it, and our dependence on China, and our struggling public school systems? I don't know.
Do those things matter to me more than the fact that she is from a small town, can relate to 'middle America', and likes guns and is pro life and is a 'hockey mom' and has 'executive experience', and can read a teleprompter well? Yes.
  • Wild_Weasel · 1 year ago
She TOOK the BRIDGE TO NOWHERE money.

Bottom line, she took the money. Even if she reprogrammed the pork, she still took the money, and at the same time, real bridges were falling down in the lower 48, not to mention hundreds of billions of dollars in deferred maintenance and repairs needed to America's infrastructure according to the American Society for Civil Engineers. She took the money.
  • alaskan · 1 year ago
She did tell the truth about one thing. She really is a pit bull.

This was her night to shine. Next, she'll take a tumble - the first time she opens her mouth on her own about anything other than Alaskan issues.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I've been wondering the same thing. Sure we hear the typical all the biographical stuff, the Alaska politics, etc, but what happens when she starts talking about the Middle East? China? Global Economy? Outsourcing? NAFTA? Health Care? Tax Reform? Health Care? She's going to be sorely out of place....

Bring it on GOP, I can't wait...
  • AlaskanWoman · 1 year ago
Even on Alaskan issues she is often lost without her aides spoon feeding her the facts. Somebody please...wake us up from this nightmare!
  • WJBaker · 1 year ago
In the written text of her speech, the word "nuclear" is spelled phonetically as "new-clear". Was that to make sure she could pronounce it correctly? Seriously.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Yep, and that's just how she pronounced it: just two syllables (not 3).
  • alaskan · 1 year ago
I really don't get it. Wasilla is a small town. Why does everyone in the audience look like they came straight from Wasilla? Even Cindy. I know I've seen her at the fancy store at Meta Rose Square.

That drinking game mentioned earlier doesn't work. It's 9:16 here, I'm watching a rebroadcast and getting really thirsty.
  • AlaskanWoman · 1 year ago
For a true ALASKAN perspective on this circus check out this site:
    http://www.andrewhalcro.com/grading_palins_spee...
The more people who read it the more the truth will come to the surface.
  • Asterix · 1 year ago
Look, Palin was the CNP (Norquist, LaHaye, etc.) candidate. She's supposed to be the "hockey mom" to generate some sort of "folks just like us" feeling among the right-wing and uncommitted electorate.

McCain's a billionaire, Obama's a smart black intellectual; Biden is a career politician and old white guy. Which would you feel comfortable going bowling with? Which would you expect to see Sunday in your church?

Now you know why she was selected. I suspect they'll use her up and jettison her when she's outlived her usefulness. She'll get a nice addition to her CV and perhaps a crack at a Congressional seat eventually in exchange. Not a bad deal--you can't buy publicity like that.
  • Smarmy · 1 year ago
What a national introduction for Palin: pregnant teeny bopper daughter; sarcasm and outright lies. Yup. She's a republican! They all seem to have sex problems and lying is second nature to them.
  • paulbe · 1 year ago
She's just been shown to us on Australian TV. She's just foul. Looks like a cross between Shania Twain and Granny from the Beverley Hillbillys. America is so fucked if this is the best that can be put up as election candidates. the Repub side though is beyond laughable. its just plain frightening. I'm sure she counts to eleven on her toes.
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Silly Sarah's speech may well have had more lies in it than any other speech in history.

It had no substance to it at all. No undecided voter will be swayed by her shrill and pointless chatter.
  • freakinout · 1 year ago
She must be easy to pick out in a crowd right now, Her pants must be a blaze! The thought of her being elected and continuing the current policies, and worse, just freaks me out.
  • djblogista · 1 year ago
I didn't see her convention speech, BUT in her Ohio introduction speech last week, she pronounced it "Nuke-You-Ler ". This would explain why her convention text spells out the proper pronunciation.
  • N8ivGoddess218 · 1 year ago
IF anyone votes Rethuglikkkan, they are simply insane. Sarah has been lying to America since her first opening sentence. She has no idea what the Bush doctrine is, has 0 experience in politics and has no idea what foreign policy is. Let's face it, McCain might not even make it to spring. Do we really want this religious whackjob to be president? Iraq was part of gods' plan?? How does she know what gods' plan is? Does she have a special line to him or something? Every Christian claims to know what it is that god wants and interestingly enough, god wants exactly what they want.. Imagine that..
