AMERICAblog: Sarah Palin sounds like she knows she lost. She also refuses to say if she voted for Stevens.

  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
She says she "prays" she will wake up, like a princess wanting to be the queen, the Veep. Here's MY prayer: "Dear baby Jesus, please exile Sarah Palin to MILF Island for eternity. Thank you."
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll....:) Had to show the fellas in the office this one, hope you don't mind.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Sure. A tip of the hat to Tina Fey for that idea...
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
We did it. Now to pummel the MSN and to tell them I personally don't want to hear the ensuing BS that this is the first AA elected president of the United States. As an African American, I don't want to see the history of the civil rights movement 24/7. Today we beging to fix the problems that got us into this mess in the first place.

I'll share a secret. If we had all thought for one moment that his coronatioin would be a reminder of the ills of this nation--he would not be the next president of the United States. Pass this one on. Make it Viral! Let's
get about the business of fixiing the economy again.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Not meant to me harsh here Karen: I'm elated! I'm overjoyed! What you see is the fear of a lifetime that still lingers. We'll all rejoice, and then get down to business. I've appreciated your intelligence and insight here on this forum more than you can imagine.

    Merci beaucoup, Loup Noir.

    What a fool.
Republican failure and her first dude...
Why aren't they hanging out with the pig?
McCain needs his lipstick, but she's gone home to Alaska.
  • scooter in brooklyn · 1 year ago
i thought i heard todd say that they'd be back in alaska tomorrow. hopefully they stay there.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Wow she sure drew a crowd in her hometown of Wasilly, you could almost hear the wind blow it was so quiet.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    she's so groovy
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
also, also, also! ... like marsha, marsha, marsha!
    :)
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Where is that special needs baby? Why isn't her whole litter with her and Toddy there to see how the democratic process works? Hell, she probably doesn't even know where her kids are.
  • Sarge · 1 year ago
This has really stuck in my proverbial craw. Where is her infant special needs child?!
  • Sharoney · 1 year ago
The campaign is probably footing the bill for some au pairs, too.
  • sconset · 1 year ago
We laugh at her at our peril......should O win today, we have not hear the end of this woman. The far right is grooming her for 2008--she is a very dangerous person.
  • BusyTimmy · 1 year ago
Well, as long as they groom her for 2008, we needn't worry. ;)
  • prochoicelib · 1 year ago
If you thought the Clinton years were fun, wait until "Obama murdered Vince Foster". Yea! I'm sure Newt Gingrich has his script all ready.
  • MC_Haiku · 1 year ago
She has some rabid followers. But the reality is that she carries so many political liabilities, she and First Dude would never stand up to the scrutiny were she the actual candidate. Obama was wise to keep the focus on McCain/Bush rather than "game-changer/story-shifter" Palin.
That said, I look forward to her antics to stay in the public eye & the post-bush Republican party.
  • eagleye · 1 year ago
I will never forgive the corporate media for the way they behaved during the Bush years. Those motherfuckers are the root of the problem in this country.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
It started during the Clinton years. I'll never forget all that.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
What we have to work on in the next four years is to get the press to do their Fuc*ing jobs! We haven't heard the last of Palin. She'll be lurking behind the scene for the next four years. And God forbid McCain wins the white house today. We all need to get involved in the grass roots work that can reeducate America.
  • judybrowni · 1 year ago
I watched the media turn, somewhat, critical of McCain after he stopped talking off-the-cuff to the boys on the bus. (Or plane)

And -- somewhat -- critical of Palin when it became clear she wasn't going to chivy up the boys either on the campaign trail.

So we're still toast the next time some gladhanding idiot rethug deigns to trade jokes with the political reporters, while supplying them with Dove bars.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    Home gurl will definitely lose.

But hey - with her "how cool is that", "guys and gals" and "you betcha" - she could go back to Wasila High school for some remedial courses.

And guess what? She CAN still be Vice President.

Sarah Palin for Student Council Vice President!!!
  • prochoicelib · 1 year ago
What would be really COOL, is if Ms. Palin got a job on HSN or QVC hocking Moissanite or dishware. Really I'm serious, when she speaks I expect her waving at handsome products and hand cream. She'd be perfect, you betcha. Only 300 units left.
  • PeerOne · 1 year ago
She'll fit in nicely on "Quacker Factory" on QVC.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
She probably owns some Quacker Factory clothing, that's why they had to go on a shopping spree...
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
If she lived 100-150 years ago she would be traveling town to town in a wagon selling some sort of "cure" and trying to stay one step ahead of the tar and feather crowd.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
"Bad officials are elected by good people who don't vote."
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
That woman is a piece of work. Her and her ilk are now toast.

Nasty, despicable whore. I can't wait for the state of Alaska to throw her skanky ass to the curb.

    (is that strong enough?)
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Works for me, but you didn't have to be quite so nice. Dispicable skankwhore and throwing her nasty ass to the curb would have been more forceful.
  • Styve · 1 year ago
    Scottinsf~
Don't hold back...tell us what you really think!! She is foul, you is right!!

I bet San Francisco will be a party tonight, if the election fraud is held in check!
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
I think San Francisco is on edge tonight but yeah, it's going to spill on out to the streets.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
    What John McCain called Cindy...
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
    Cunning? Cute?
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
    She's so purdy.
  • PatogTX · 1 year ago
It would not shock me if she voted for the criminal. What surprises me is that she wasn't telling everyone and shouting from the roof tops.

Please God, make her go away.
  • stefanzo · 1 year ago
or release their medical records - seriously or at all
  • Mamabear · 1 year ago
I'm so excited for all of you! I'm in Ireland - and planning to stay up REALLY late to watch the results come in! My Granny used to have a photo of JFK on her wall when I was growing up - I plan to put one of President Barack Obama up on mine! It'll be nice to wear my NY t-shirts again!!! It definitely hasn't been cool to wear them for the past 8 years!!!
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
I'm so happy to hear about support from Europe and around the world. I hear Turkey and Greece and countries in Africa mentioned frequently. Our standing in the world is important to me and one of the biggest reasons I support Obama.
  • jonathangregoire · 1 year ago
    I AdrianBrowne,

You have support from Quebec too, we all want Obama to win in Quebec and Canada. I'm following the electoral nigth with my friends to celebrate the victory of Obama. USA standing in the world would improve a LOT. I used to be anti-american for about the last 8 years (not against the poeple of america but the government) and Obama gives me a lot of hope for a better world. Even if I would have prefered Ron Paul :)
  • professordarkheart · 1 year ago
STOP THE PRESSES!!! At around 50 seconds in, did I just hear Sarah Palin acknowledge a right to privacy? She could only name one Supreme Court decision she disagreed with, and here it turns out she got it backwards and has actually agreed with it all along.
  • Eyeball_Kid · 1 year ago
Although I could be wrong, I tend to believe that this is Palin's last day as vice-huckster. When the dust settles after the election, and we, as a nation, make the effort to regain our senses, Palin will be viewed as one of the strangest aberrations in national politics since the knighting of Dan Quail as national goofball.

But Palin, as "spiritual warrior", is far worse and a lot more dangerous. Republican power brokers would be wise to get Palin tied up in the Courts for as long as possible just to make sure that she never leaves Alaska again with pretentions of national notoriety.
  • SgtHudson · 1 year ago
    Eyeball is correct.
Palin's 15 minutes of freakshow fame are up.
She makes Dan Quayle look like Albert Einstein!
But she is dangerous and needs to be watched over the next 4 years. I think Romney or Huckabee would welcome her as a primary opponent...
  • Sharoney · 1 year ago
She sounds like she's trying to hold back tears, like a kid who knows she's not getting an invitation to a birthday party. The lack of eye contact is another "tell."

I think she really, really, REALLY believed she would win. Because whatever Sarah wants, Sarah gets, whether it be coercing her daughter to marry her skanky boyfriend to minimize campaign fallout, screwing over longtime allies after they are no use to her, or throwing her weight around once in office because... well, because she can.

Her rise in the nutbag wing of the GOP will be fueled by a deep sense of not only entitlement but resentment. You betcha.
  • Necer23 · 1 year ago
Do you think Palin will appointment herself as Senator if Stevens wins and then is kicked out of the Senate?
  • RIPWAMU · 1 year ago
    You betcha!
  • Necer23 · 1 year ago
Thanks for the information.......last night was Incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
".....if you want to work in the White House and run the country, you need to learn to talk and act like an adult."

Exactly...and what's with her hair in her eyes half the time.....that might be okay for the teens and 20's something but running for VP......she could at least attempt to look like an executive.....just my opinion anyway.
  • missmarple · 1 year ago
When Stevens was asked during the debate between he and Begich, how he felt about the comments by Palin and McCain, he said he wasn't worried as they were only saying he should resign for Political reasons. I would think it pretty safe to assume that he got Sarah's vote since he was her mentor.
  • Rustyzipper · 1 year ago
Wooohoo.. What a day for history making, Just got home from voting.

what a long an whining road we all have been on.... It all over in 8+ hours. Hi 5 to all, we did it :)

Having an Election Party at my house tonight... all invited.lol

    A right to privacy?!
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Yeah, you know, like them telling a woman what she can and cannot do with her body...
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
No a right for privacy for her also, not for you, that's what's so cool about america
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
also it would be cool if we never saw her mug or heard her shrill bleating also
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Enough of Palin, as of today (hopefully) she is history. Will she raise her nasty head again, oh I think she will try but it won't do her much good. I think many Republican leaders will think of her performance over the past few weeks and none of them will have the stomach to try and re-invent her.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Wait until she figures out the airlines lost their luggage and little Trig is on his way to bumfucked in her overnight bag.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
    LMAO!!!!!!!
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
Wait until Bristol finds out -- that's when the shit's gonna hit the fan.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
I know, poor girl will probably miscarry and poof, no more baby problems, and no more shotgun wedding, all is well in Wasilla again.
  • ivyfree · 1 year ago
I think that wedding might very well be called off. There was absolutely no reason to delay the wedding, if they really wanted to get married, and it would have been nice publicity. I think the kids dug in their heels and refused to do it before the election. Maybe they're smarter than their parents... not that it would be difficult.
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
I predict Palin herself will disappear after the election but she'll have followers who will attempt to sidestep the numerous tremendous and irreparable gaffes she's made on a national level.

But we will crush them just as we've crushed Palin!
  • babsinbuffalo · 1 year ago
"That's what's so cool about America ... also."
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
"COOL"?!??! WTF?? She looks and acts like she's running for Homecoming Queen or something...
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Rachael Ray is her rhetorical model: how cool is that, also?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Exiting the polling place in Wasilla, Palin gave a brief press interview. In response to whether she has any regrets she answered:

“The blogosphere, the two, three hour news cycles, where just too much is reported based on gossip and innuendo and things taken out of context,” she explained, adding that she’d like to help improve the profession because she has “great respect for the world of journalism.”
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I wonder how Couric feels about that statement?
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
She can start improving journalism by learning not to be a lying sack of shit, herself, and then getting out of government.
  • RIPWAMU · 1 year ago
Her smugness never ceases to amaze me.
  • whomod · 1 year ago
Maybe now that she's back in Alaska, she can convene her own panel to look into the Stevens corruption case so he can be 'vindicated".

BTW, thanks to Tina Fey and her spot on framing of Palin's public persona. Couldn't have done it without her, i think.

    cheers,

    whomod
  • Mahkno · 1 year ago
She wants Stevens to win. Then when he resigns after the election she can appoint a Republican to the position. OR... appoint herself to the Senate to get 4 years of national exposure before 2012.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I think I'll press the short-term memory loss button now . . . who're we talking about again?
  • iamevolved · 1 year ago
You betcha she is a dingleberry. I am grateful McCain picked her. He handed Obama the presidency. Now, if you'll excuse the Governor, she is dressed for hunting, or painting, or some such other "real American" kind of acticity. Gosh darn it!
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
I'm glad she's good with that because I hope she'll soon hear the phrase "You have the right to remain silent'.
  • MGBYG · 1 year ago
Dammit, John... was that three or four "also"s and now I am gonna be drunk by early afternoon if that keeps up!

Remember kids: 1 'also' = 1 jigger of Newfie Skreech...
  • kcjoe · 1 year ago
Ha What an Idiot. Gald when she goes back to Alaska. i hope we never have to hear from her again.
  • JustAnOldLady · 1 year ago
SHE is gonna be the frontrunner for the GOP in 2012?????? I sure hope so, you betcha...........
  • whomod · 1 year ago
    Yep!

    Delusional blithering idiot.
  • henrythefifth · 1 year ago
Her "cool about America" comment makes her sound like she's a kid reporter for Nickelodeon. Buh Bye!
  • Sarge · 1 year ago
I really, REALLY hate being spoken to like a child.

I'm putting my "faith" in the people of America.
  • laughingcrow · 1 year ago
Wow John, did you just call Letterman goofy fluffy?
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
I love letterman, but he's fluff compared to a full blown press conference, absolutely.
  • Older_Wiser · 1 year ago
Driving along the highway just now, there was a large banner type "McCain/Palin" sign...on the other side, it simply said "Sarah!"

That was going in to Mooresville, NC, otherwise known as "Race City" where all the rich fascists live...on Lake Norman, NC.

They have money, they have clout in this area, and they're not finished yet.

You ought to see the huge McMansions, fake piety and look-a-like NASCAR wives--they all look pretty much alike, too). Even people who have moved into the area from up north are just as bad...we're not getting the progressives, we're getting the regressives. The snake handlers next door to me without big money even are from NY state, via FL. Thanks, but no thanks...
  • beachboi · 1 year ago
Good riddance! Something that has not been said enough is that her husband Todd is much WORSE.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
oh ok. the right to privacy is ok for HER. but for those women who want to privately decide whether or not to carry their rapist's baby....not so much
