First it was long gas lines, then it was long voting lines.

One made me ashamed of my city... the other, proud.

    AP story this morning:

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.

    way to go rush limbaugh.
that vile piece of human waste just narc'd this poor woman out.
she is all he's been talking about lately.

human piece of waste is right....I can't stand that pervert.
  • Older_Wiser · 1 year ago
The real question is, who is that immigration judge, what is his political affiliation, etc. who denied her asylum, and why? The Bush regime has consistently gone that route, that is, denying asylum, esp. for Haitian refuges. The immigration system is in total disarray--we have millions here illegally who haven't even applied and don't intend to, working for the cheap labor advocates who are the same ones who have mired us down in the Wall St. disaster and have no concern for "national security", who love open borders, open ports, etc. Anything for the "free flow of capitalism" and exploitation of working people on every level.

    good morning all-
i'm so glad Geiger says we get 60 in the Senate...too bad John Cornyn isn't on his list of goners...that reminds me...yesterday i heard a Cornyn ad on radio - very CYA - it said putting Cornyn back in the senate will provide a much needed check on the coming government...like they know McCain is out and they're scaring the wingers into keeping some GOPers for good measure...

however, one rabid GOPer i spoke to who voted McCain also voted libertarian down the rest of the ticket...so we'll see.

Unlike Pres. Seven Houses, I have to go to work here shortly. His tax plan gives me the finger, and the centerpiece of Obama's plan gives me a tax cut; one that I will sorely need. If Obama doesn't get 100 million votes from our everyday workers, I'd be quite surprised.

Oh, and my vote's already in. I choose Obama as my next president.

And... can't wait for the next Sarah Palin idiot moment. Youtube's been a lot mor fun with her around.
  • triple7s · 1 year ago
Thank you. That says it for me too. Sarah might just have a bit of a tug and tussle back in WASSILLAND, "betcha".

    file under site maintenance:

don't know what you guys have done, but as of late (the past two weeks or more) i cannot get your site to load consistantly, both here @ home (vista.64/ie7.32) and @ work (xp.32/ie6.32) - yeah, yeah, yeah, mozilla and all that, using ie for a specific reason

i go to your page, the top banner loads, then looking at the status bar @ the bottom, 712,432 things load, then says "done", and i still have nothing but the top ad banner

i ususally now have to reload and/or close and reopen ie to get your page to load, this is from a brand new instance or going to your site from another

oh, and the full page drop down unfurling ad - get the fuck rid of it, just my ΒΆΒΆ, thanks

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I check this blog 10 time a day or more, and now I can count on it crashing my computer with a warning that it's making my computer unstable. I reload it multiple times to make it work. It pops up fine on my iPhone, but it's a real pain to have to haul out my iPhone anytime I want to get up to date.
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
The unfurling ad crashed the main page when I tried to load it just this morning.

The Aryan Bitch will be at the Fairgrounds in Raleigh at 7 pm for a last ditch effort.

Anyone living in that area? A counter-demonstration would be a nice antidote to her lies and distortions.

Geiger's Senate predictions are great. Though I almost blew coffee out of my nose on this line about Virginia - "If Warner loses this race, I'll let Sarah Palin shoot and field-dress *me*.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can't ...."

I guess Boehner didn't read the rest of that.

Another great defection from the Republican camp. This Pastor voted for Bush twice and even was personally asked by the Bush family to be the Pastor at the wedding of Jenna Bush. He called Bush on the phone and told him he was going to vote for Obama. HAHAHAHA!!!!

May not be big story nationally, but locally and perhaps even here in the state of Texas, it's a pretty big story...

    Dr. Pill 2 swallow:
Tell us Dawn Pardot, what can our departing oil & Gas Company guests expect to receive from the Bush Administration in the final weening days of this Presidency, even after the record breaking Billions in Profit they have seen on the backs of the American people over the last 6 years?

    Dawn Pardot:
Well Dr Pill, it's a pretty good deal if you ask me, they'll be getting hundreds of thousands of pristine protected Wild Land that even though is proven to generate almost zero productive resources, can be used by them for whatever purposes they desire! You know, since they has exclusive rights to the land, they can do nothing with it, destroy it completely "testing" or they can simply hold onto it, granting excursion rights to PR aspects of their companies thereby creating the most extensive secret getaways in Modern history to be used by every member of the Oligharchy (I.E. NOT YOU) for Generations to come.

I just received an e-mail from MoveOn and it scared the crap out of me. They said Obama has fallen three points in the national polls. Is this true? If not, shame on MoveOn!!!!! I hope it is dead wrong.

I sure hope Bob Geiger is right about those senate numbers as that is what will be needed to actually make the changes and put America first again.
