Sheesh, thankfully another thread. That last one was giving me chicken skin.

Doing that in that situation was such a betrayal in every way I can think of. Did he leave anything out? Keep passing the open windows.

I keep looking at that Obama banner on top of the page with the "change we can believe" in slogan. I think he should change that to "well, he's not quite a republican". That would be closer to the truth and the reason most of his most ardent supporters during the primaries will be voting for him, since he has betrayed us on so many issues.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
    I concur.

It's really disheartening to see what has happened to Obama and the comments on this blog of late. During the primaries anyone who dared say a thing against him, or in favor of Hillary, were accused of being locksteppers and traitors. Now the majority of the comments seem to be of disappointment in the presumptive nominee. Just shows how so many were lockstepping with Aravosis once he declared Obama the darling of America Blog. So how about if everybody gets real and just work our asses off to get the GOP out of the white house and out of our lives.

Obama did this to himself.....................who wants a luke warm centrist and Bu$hCo supporter..............time to get behind Hillary if it is not already too late.
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
Time to swing our support back to Hillary...........she could still get the nomination.

most ardent supporters during the primaries will be voting for him, since he has betrayed us on so many issues...Yet. Give him more time.

All of the MSM outlets are making a big deal about the Newsweek poll that shows BO up only three points over JM, after having been up 15 shortly after the primaries were over. Aren't these the same people that were discounting that initial poll as an outlier, because it was so different than all of the other polls that were out at the time? Isn't it more likely that Newsweek's polling is weak, and BO is just fine?
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Type your comment here."Outlier" seems to be the new rightwing buzzword, substituting for "exception. MSNBC just used it in describing the earlier poll that put Obama ahead by 15 points.

Of course, they were gleefully saying that the race was in a "dead heat" between Obama and McBush at this point. I'm asking that other lefties get behind Obama, as flawed as he may appear at this point; we simply cannot have another third Bush term.

Clinton says the next president needs to make climate change a major issue of his administration, or risk the ecological and financial consequences. He particularly lauded Sen. McCain, saying he "had the best position on climate change (among the GOP). I think that Sen. Obama and the Democrats have a better position, but I think McCain deserves credit for moving his party."

so Bubba does again what he does so well in taking his anger out on Obama: he gives with his left hand and takes away with his right...praises Obama and then praises McCain...it is NOT being diplomatic. it is NOT being presidential (he doesn't know how to do that anyway). it is about undercutting Obama at every turn.
if Obama picks Hillary as a running mate we will get 8 years of this shit.
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
I voted for Obama at the caucus in Hawaii..........after Obama betrayed us with his vote to gut the 4th Amendment (FISA) and his kissing up to the religious lunatics supporting Bu$hCo's Faith Based taxpayer rip off, his chiming in on a woman's right to have men decide for them, etc., I now hope that Hillary and Bill fuck with him at the convention...........I would laugh if Hillary actually gets the nomination, and I would vote for her in the general..............I will not vote for Obama because he is a liar and I do not trust him now.
  • interlude · 1 year ago
and of course Hillary has never lied.
John McCain thanks you for your vote.
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
We played that game with John Kerry.............now it is time to play dirty and pit one pig against the other............I do not care who gets elected, they are all obviously just the same........but Obama deserves to get fucked with.
  • Hangtown Danile · 1 year ago
You go Shannon! And you are also not alone.
I think Oboma's banner should read
"Vote for Obaoma what els are you going to do?"
  • interlude · 1 year ago
the truth is, every candidate moves to the center verbally during the general election campaign.

the laugher here is that you two seem to think Hillary is more liberal than Obama. Hillary of DADT, Hillary of the Flag-Burning law, Hillary of Obliterating Iran, Hillary of the Bankruptcy law. Hillary the McCain stroker. the list goes on.

you are the best thing that has happened to the McCain campaign in 6 months.
  • Hangtown Danile · 1 year ago
the truth is, every candidate moves to the center verbally during the general election campaign.
So every candidate lies to get elected...
    So much for change.
Obama, Hillary whats dose it matter?
They are all going to screw us in the end.
    Why even have a vote?
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
No no no........I do not think Hillary is more liberal than Obama, I think she is a pig.............and I want to see the pigs go after each other and tear each other apart...........who cares which pig wins, I just want to see them fight.
  • interlude · 1 year ago
well, all i know is you will screw the country in the process.
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
The country is already screwed because we have allowed a one party system to control everything...............the Democrats have just voted to eliminate the 4th Amendment and everyone thinks that is just fine.

My admiration for President Carter grows by the day. We had hard dimes during his administration, but he's become almost a saint since. Please take a few minutes and look at this short video (7 minutes). Then think about what could be done with the billions of wasted Bush war dollars.

Hear are some good Big Love banners:
"Vote for me I will tell you what you want to hear."
"Vote for me I am not John McCain."
"Vote for me what els is there?"
"A vote for Obama is a vote for change... He changes his mind every day"
Anybody want to give it a try?
  • Shannon · 1 year ago
How about "Vote For Me, I Can Lie With The Best Of Them"

Or, "Vote For Me And I Will Pull A Switch-a-roo on You"

Or, "Vote For Me, I Can Fool Some Of The People All Of The Time"
