    I call on the Republican Party to disband, immediately.

    Dave - I had this great idea yesterday looking at the Halloween decorations. We should join hands with the freeway blogger and purchase large numbers of skeletons (the ones I saw were about 3 feet high, any would do) and hang them from freeway bridges with a simple "GOP" tag, either attached to the rib cage or from their metatarsals. Would be great fun to do.

    good morning..

    Some more good news from MN

    Franken bypasses Coleman
    DFL U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken has moved into his first solid lead -- 43 to 34 percent -- over incumbent Republican Norm Coleman

    Coleman led Franken by four points in last month’s Minnesota Poll.

    buh bye Norm...

    Glad to hear MN is finally getting its act together. Coleman was disgusting, to say the least.

    I'm loving the Palin jokes and parodies but I wish it were November 5th. I looked at some of the clips from Palin's Alaska debates. She didn't sound all that bad, answered most of the questions succinctly without histrionics. Perhaps the unevenness of her recent debate and interview "performances" can be attributed to having to defend McCain's record and all-over-the-map-one-thing-this-morning-the-opposite-this-afternoon positions on the issues. I can imagine the pug team worked her over good -- don't say this say that be extra folksy. What worries me is that she'd probably make a credible opponent if she were in the top position and didn't have to defend the indefensible.

    Let's hope McCain's health last through the election. What would happen if he were incapacitated before November 4th?

    I think they'd follow the somewhat successful Bush post-pretzel, pre-Gannon model...Doubles and vocal mimics.

    Reading the various on line news items the McCain/Palin group are back to smearing Obama and Biden. What a sad commentary on their whole campaign. They have no fresh ideas except we will reform, McCain is a Maverick and we will win in Iraq. Not a single news outlet has pressed McCain for any concrete information. Asking Palin is like having a conversation with a woodchuck. There is no substance because the GOP has nothing left. 8 years of Bush and 12 years of a GOP run Congress have tapped them dry of any credibility, ethics or morals. McMaverick has been 26 years on the dole, 26 years of contributing nothing but a bullshit Campaign bill which didn't stop a single Congressman from taking as much money as he wanted from the lobbyists. It is not enough to say we will reform, he needs to say what he will reform and why. Once he says that Obama can hammer him on why he hasn't tried in 26 years.

    Two FYIs...
    1st-Palin humor will fade rapidly should Johnny cheat, smear and steal his way into the WH...
    2nd-I got an email from a fellow named Rob Dean who had info on Michael Gregory, the fellow who made the Veep debate music video John A. posted yesterday;
    "Mike's an alumnus of Appalachian State, a former a cappella singer, a music major, and a current resident of Brooklyn trying to make it in the city as a musician."
    I replied that Mike is a natural to perform sometime within the Obama Inaugural festivities...Wow, just thinking about the fabulous musical acts performing at this celebration makes me dizzy...
    Here's the viseo in case you missed it:

    Palin's uniform is a suit and she doesn't wave pom poms but she's nothing more than a cheerleader.

    I heard a comment somewhere yesterday that the rum earmark attached to the Wall Street Bail-out will greatly help the Virgin Island manufacturers of Captn. Morgan rum...Wasn't Captn. Morgan the preferred jug of choice, by the photographic record, for young Bristol and Levi?
    Don't know about Mooselini and Todd...I couldn't see labels on the half consumed liquor bottles scattered around the couple of Palin residences shown in those photos but I'm wondering if there's a more adult rum/Palin connection???

    "For Sarah Palin, Thursday's night’s debate was an open-book exam. She spent much of the evening methodically reading and rehearsing answers from “carefully scripted talking points.” Palin’s notes were largely hidden from plain view, resting behind the lectern where she stood. Because the cable and network television stations did not show a split screen of the debate, most viewers could not see that, during Joe Biden’s answers, Palin spent almost all her time looking down and studiously reading her notes. But viewers did see that when Palin delivered her answers, she would repeatedly glance down to check her talking points. ThinkProgress has compiled a video documenting some of the instances where it was clear to the audience that Palin was propped up by written responses. Watch a video compilation."

    An intended threat of Martial Law is essentially the same thing of having it implemented.

    ==========================================================

    A Democratic Congressman has warned that a panic atmosphere is being
    intentionally created in order to get the financial bailout billed
    passed, further stating that several members of Congress were told
    before Monday's vote that martial law will be instigated in America if
    the legislation fails.

    "Congressman Brad Sherman of California's 27th congressional district
    told the House in a speech yesterday evening that he personally knew
    of several Congressional representatives who have said they were
    threatened with the prospect of all out martial law should they vote
    in opposition to the $700 billion bailout."

    I was going to go and work the phone bank for Obama today but then read this:
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=...
    an article by Richard Cook at Global Research dot com...stole my thunder.
    Add the Bailout Bill to the FISA Bill...just too tired.
