Congressman Issa has been insinuating all week that Nancy Pelosi and Jane Harman knew Bush was ordering torture.

It's about time someone ask her about it. After all, she did take impeachment off the table.

One could ask her why Mark Foley never even received an ethics violation. After all, Dateline even has a problem with it.

John, the little suck-up CSPAN interviewed this am (in front of the CSPAN bus, no less!) said their little conference was NOT a Rethug meeting, but is of like-minded "conservatives." The "biggest name" he could come up with at this disarray was Michelle Malkin. : )

So, I guess the Neanderthals--strike that, it's an insult to Neanderthals--the morons couldn't get enough Rethug types to attend, just the 1% who think as they do--in total lockstep. As for bloggers, I think he mentioned 2: "Red State" and another, which name escapes me right now.

I'm a lifelong conservative activist and I'm backing Barack Obama

The answer is simple: Unjustified war and unconstitutional abridgment of individual rights vs. ill-conceived tax and economic policies - this is the difference between venial and mortal sins.

Taxes, economic policy and health care reform matter, of course. But how we extract ourselves from the bloody boondoggle in Iraq, how we avoid getting into a war with Iran and how we preserve our individual rights while dealing with real foreign threats - these are of greater importance.

John McCain would continue the Bush administration's commitment to interventionism and constitutional overreach.

Did anyone else notice the article on page 3D in USA Today on Friday, July 18,, which quotes Newt Gingrich as saying "I donated the two black rhinos" at Zoo Atlanta. I've read several articles on these rhinos now, including the info on Zoo Atlanta's web page, and they say that Gingrich was "instrumental in helping" Zoo Atlanta acquire the rhinos. Hmmm... seems like old Newtie stretched the truth. He also mentioned that his "daughters grew up visiting" Zoo Atlanta. Would that be daughters Newt had with the first wife, that he left while she was on her deathbed? Or would that be daughters with the woman he had the adulterous affair with while his first wife was dying? Or are there OTHER potential moms??
