Dave, Joe and John- I keep thinking about the voters in this election, and one thing that I cannot get past is the lack of support for John McCain. I cannot think of a single "voting demographic" that will go out and vote for John McCain in November. Not one. Sure, there will be people "voting republican" and people "voting against Obama", but I do not see anyone going out and enthusiastically voting for and supporting John McCain. Obama has the youth, he has the "black vote", he has the "liberal educated affluent whites"... he has millions of supporters that are going to work hard for him, and enthusiastically pull the lever come november.
I believe this is going to be a blowout. Don't get me wrong, I am going to keep giving money to Obama and the DNC, I am not going to let my guard down... but I believe that Obama is going to beat McCain in places that no one would have imagined. The South, is going to go to Obama. Black voter turnout is going to be massive. I bet Obama gets 95% of an energized "black vote". The West, is going to be very competative. I think he will win by over 100 electoral college votes.
Watching Bush these last eight years, has been like watching an adolescent stumble through life. It has been a train wreck. Come November, the people are going to punish the Republicans and change this country. It is going to be a great thing to watch.
