    This guy's destroying Hillary's argument.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Bill Nelson is a sorry bastard for ripping off Obama's delegate. I hope producers will find this newsworthy and expose him.

He's the merchant of Democratic death. Losing more elections for Democrats and sowing more divisiveness within the party for anyone else since 1980. Brilliant record Harold, brilliant record.

    "Florida: America's Wang" -
    Homer Simpson

The best thing that could possibly happen in the 2008 election would be a Democratic victory WITHOUT Florida, or the rest of the "solid south", for that matter. And if you think that isn't possible, remember that Kerry would have won the election if he wasn't cheated out of Ohio, and Kerry wasn't the most wonderful candidate the Dems could have run. Also, in 2004, President CooCoo Bananas had a 50+% approval rating, the war was still fairly popular, Katrina had not hit yet to expose the gaping holes in Bush's security talking points, the media was still totally in the tank for the Rethugs and the Dems were acting like wimps during the campaign, trying to be the "nice guys" against a group of common thugs. Now we've got a candidate that can pull in 75,000 people at a rally in Oregon, running against Abe Simpson.
    Can I get a witness?!

    Nelson, another DINO.

I'm sure this Bill Nelson issue will make it's rounds before long; he will hear from people about the error.

I actually agree with Harry Reid finally! Harry said that the Conservative Dems are a pain in the a**...
  • LeslieB · 1 year ago
Yeah, Pelosi has had her hands full with the Blue Dogs. Our House majority is very slim, and it's tough keeping the Blue Dogs in line. But on every issue, I believe Pelosi is on our side.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Hello LeslieB! Yes, he was referencing the tenor of the Senate and House these days, but I'm not so hot on Pelosi any longer.

When Nancy first became Speaker, my chest almost exploded with pride. I was strutting around the house all puffed up and proud as a momma hen, but I have found her to be a wretched disappointment these days.
  • LeslieB · 1 year ago
    Hello Polly–Tics!
Yes, when she became Speaker, I felt the same way. But I don't see her as a wretched disappointment. By that, I'm assuming your reference is primarily to impeachment. They'd never get it out of the House: the GOP is corrupt and the Blue Dogs would vote with them. The Senate would never convict. There would be such a huge MSM firestorm--just look at what they've done with the Rev. Wright issue and McClellan's book. It would be 24/7 Democrats are traitors news loops. Plus, we'd never have the votes.

As disappointing as it is, Pelosi crunched the numbers. They still ought to go after Cheney, just to send a message. But we can't even get the DOJ to enforce Karl Rove subpoenas.

The movement has to come from the public. So if you want to blame someone, I think the blame lies primarily with the voters.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Well, there was/is huge public buzz for impeachment, but at this point in time, it's too late for any action to begin. The time was 2006 and Nancy took it off of the table.

I also haven't been happy with the way she handled other issues either, torture, FISA and the list goes on.

    She broke my heart....

The individuals responsible for allowing the Florida & Michigan primaries to break DNC rules need to be kicked out of the party. And they need to be exposed.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    Shirley,
In some instances it isn't always the Dem's fault. For instance, it wasn't really the Florida Democrats fault that the rules were broken in the Primary this year. It was the Republican's that run the state who screwed with their dates, not the Democratic leadership.
  • tas · 1 year ago
    Polly,
You are so wrong. Democrats pushed the legislation and the video of that fat jerk in the Florida Senate laughing about it should be played over and over behind the rules committee. Only one Democrat in the Florida Legislature (House and Senate) voted AGAINST the change and they dared the DNC to do anything about it. I stayed home because I was told my vote would not count. I can guarantee you that if Clinton steals the nomination this way, I will leave the Democratic party and will never give another dime to a Democratic candidate. I will, however, support the primary challenger for anyone taking on one of the Florida Democrats who voted to change the primary date.

Booman just reported that Obama, through Rep. Wexler, just gave Clinton a win on Florida.

Would someone tell Carl Levin that Michigan broke the fucking rules even after they were warned not to do what they were going to do. Please also tell him he is BALD, its ok, your skin is growing faster than your hair, but doing a comb over from your left armpit is repulsive.
Now Levin is getting to the issue Michigan did not like Iowa and New Hampshire from going first, that is the crux he is echoing exactly what Hillary said. they did it anyway, Levin clearly stated that everyone knew they were taking their chances but would go to the convention if necessary. That is why Hillary put her name on the ballot, just in case they needed the delegate count. Levin and Hillary are in cahoots and that should be shoved right up both their fat asses.
