Good one Obama, why invite the Repug Broadcasting Network. In a perfect world that piece of shit network dries up and blows away like a dog turd.
  • Roger617 · 1 year ago
The fact that Obama is scared to talk to Fox News is not something to be proud of at all. It makes him look like the person he may very well be in a few months--America's first female president. He's so very graceful after all...
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Obama doesn't need to talk to a network that is dedicated to his defeat. The sheep that watch that channel wouldn't vote for Obama, so its all downside. As far as presidents, we have a coward in the white house right now, thats a big enough shit stain.
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
What a nasty thing to imply that a woman president would be weak. This is not 21st century thinking. And Obama is not scared of Fox News. He is just treating them like the biased TV station that they are. That took huge balls since he may alienate a lot of people.... those unaware that FoxNews is not legitimate news.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Was wondering if Murdoch hadn't been a rich conservative Aussie pandering to the rightwing if Fox watchers would have watched at all.

If he had been a leftwinger, they would have screamed and shouted about "ferriners" and having him deported.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Stay safe from the storm, Busboy. Looks like it's going to hit far below you but you'll get alot rain with the way winds are going.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I love the rain. Set out your house plants to let it flush them out.
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
So long as the fine journalists from the A/P are still invited, Fox need not fret. They'll have plenty of fallacies to report before breakfast.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
or they just don't report on it at all... case in point, CNN.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    OT

ugh... so much for ANYONE in this administration being charged with ANYTHING after chimpy's gone...

although, it isn't clear if he can pardon himself.

Wachovia is going under. They better not give my tax contributions to them. I want that money to go to keeping bridges and shit from falling on me.
  • gumbygirl · 1 year ago
They can't be going under. They just got seventy bucks in overdraft charges from me ( when they didn't credit my account with a deposit that I made way before they bounced my checks). They must have spent it all on hookers and blow.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Not only is Wachovia going under, but they're laying off up to 11,000 employees (I live in the Charlotte area and it was big news here). Charlotte itself has been pretty immune from jobs losses and the housing boom is just starting to lag this year, since it is, after all, a banking town, although lesser citizens' houses are being foreclosed on fairly regularly.

Additionally, did anyone miss the news last week that Wachovia Securities in St. Louis was raided by the FBI in regard to their involvement in derivatives auctions--fraud was mentioned.

Wachovia may be ripe for a takeover, and if that happens, the jobs losses will be even higher. Even Robert Steel, the new CEO, of late also a Bushie Undersecretary of the Treasury, won't be able to save it.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Wachovia was up 27% today after losing $8,900,000,000. I think the feds are propping up this issue by letting brokerage houses borrow unlimited aounts at the window with the proviso that the $$$ "borrowed" will be used to purchase shares of ailing banks such as Wachovia.

Watch Washington Mutual tomorrow. They just posted a $3,300,000,000 billion dollar loss or $3.34 per share. Analysts were predicting a loss of onnly $1.05 a share. If Washington Mutual goes yp tomorrow like Wachovia something is going on and it is not the result of "free" market forces.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Haven't you noticed that any time a company announces job losses (esp. of this magnitude), their shares go up? Even in the face of failure...but, you could be right about the buying spree, someone is buying, and it ain't the public at large.
  • MikeinSanJo · 1 year ago
Ummm... Isn't Mike Wallace the guy from 60 Minutes and Chris Wallace the faux nooze guy?
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
    RIP Estelle.
  • preznit_giv_me_turkee · 1 year ago
considering a.) McSame was announcing when Obama was going over there and 2.) Geraldo was giving away actual troop movements on F*x I can't blame him at all.
the only question is why the fuck they are the pool reporters for the DNC?
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
    OT -

    Obama just landed in Israel.

No predicitions, but I was just thinking how complicated things would get if Obama were assassinated while in Israel.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Put some thoughts out, vibes or prayers, if you're so inclined, and visualize a zone of protection around him. That's all we can do now.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
For an agnostic like myself, I have these moments about Obama, too. Please god, if there is one, protect this man! I want to see the Obama inauguration. And I want to see Michelle and those adorable girls in the White House.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Visualize a zone of protection around them calmly in your mind. Like a sparkling bubble to protect them. Just take some moments out and calmly think about that. I reach my hands up and sorta form it.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
And pray for McCain that he will be alright.
  • ewastud · 1 year ago
I very much hope there are no plots on Obama's life either. But if there are any, I would like to see them foiled and repelled as consistently as the scores of assassination attempts against Fidel Castro by our incompetent and criminal covert CIA ops and their Cuban and American mafia, narco-trafficking buddies .
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    *poof* There goes my mellow.

We're all holding our breath until he is safely home.

On a positive note, I read somewhere that O has a private security force as well as his SS detail.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
I would imagine that the security is intense and rightfully so. Many with evil motives from points all over the world could set off the powder keg that is the middle east.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Sheesh, do the American people really want that stupid old fool puttering around in the White House in his bathrobe with a walker?
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
Man, I hope this isn't true about Senator Edwards. His poor wife.
    http://www.nationalenquirer.com/sen_john_edward...
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Awww damn.

Consider the source...but there's a lot of detail and, supposedly, several eye witnesses to Edwards being confronted and hurrying away.

Please let it not be true, for Elizabeth's sake.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
What a pile of steaming shit. I hope he sues.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Here's why you're probably right:

They meet in a large hotel rather than some secluded place?
  • benb · 1 year ago
Yeah...the former journalist known as Chris Wallace.

This guy gave up his press credentials when he joined Fox. What a sellout.
  • Curbrunner · 1 year ago
Why would Omama want FOX News along?
It would just weigh down his plane with extra useless baggage. FOX has no journalists to offer up anyway. Just a bunch of argumentative creeps and blond models to read Rupert Murdoc's daily talking points of White House propaganda.
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
They'll probably invite Lieberman on as the surrogate "democrat" so he can continue to talk ill about us. I can't wait for the dems to toss him under the bus after the November elections and when the new dems just elected replace the dead wood republicans, dinos and their sympathizers.
  • lilybart · 1 year ago
I don't agree. If Wallace was seeing what I have been seeing he would be impressed and maybe Obama would actually get some nice video shown to the low-info voters that watch FOX.

    Lost opportunity I think.

"why won't Obama invite us?"-BIllo as he stalks Robert Wexler
