Apple makes slick stylish locked-in pos products. That is all.

Bull. I have had nothing but terrific experiences with Apple since 1992. My absolute worst computer experiences have ALWAYS come from Microsoft.

But, rather than flare up the very old, very tiresome, Mac vs. PC religious wars, how about acknowledging one of the great entrepreneurs of our time, and wishing him well? Heck, Apple pushed the boundaries on plenty of products that other companies copied. Whether you like their products or not, they have a consistent record of innovation that is admirable.

    Get well soon, Steve.

That certainly is the most plausible thing I've heard. Strangely, we haven't heard it from anyone in the know. Interesting how they all dance around the elephant inthe room. All this nonsense about Apple going under if Jobs is sick - Christ, he can't live forever, no matter who he is - the economic fear mongering is really out of control.

Don't Ask Don't Tell on Obama's List of Things To Change
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In an overlooked YouTube video posted on Friday, a spokesman for Barack Obama said the president-elect is committed to ending the policy that bars openly gay men and women from serving in the U.S. armed forces.

Barack Obama is committed to overturning "don't ask, don't tell," his spokesman, Robert Gibbs, says.

In a response to a question on the Web site Change.gov asking whether Obama would get rid of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said: "You don't hear politicians give a one-word answer much. But it's 'Yes.'"

Gibbs on Wednesday expanded on his answer, saying, "There are many challenges facing our nation now and the president-elect is focused first and foremost on jump-starting this economy.

"So not everything will get done in the beginning but he's committed to following through" with ending the policy against being openly gay in the military.

Can you imagine the fear of the Islamic extremists facing a battalion of lesbians? Possibly bare breasted lesbians? It would freak them out!

He's already had a rare form of pancreatic cancer. I've never heard of anyone being cured of pancreatic cancer, but his was initially treatable. However, he apparently delayed science-based medical treatment for 9 months in favor of woo-based treatment.

His letter to employees was void of details, but my guess is that his decision to delay serious medical treatment will ultimately cost him his life.

And he sounds like an ultimate narcissist as well as well as an experimentalist when it comes to his health. Too much "alternative medicine" is based on the same kind of mindset as faith healing. Give me a well-educated scientist-doctor any day.

Thank you. The whole reason for the Scientific method is that the world is complicated and even very intelligent people can be misled by irrelevant information.

This does not bode well. I applaud his ability to continue working through the ordeal. I doubt he's in denial. He is wealthy and well educated. He is not an old man, but he has lived well. Perhaps he feels the prognosis is dire with or without treatment (terminal) and he would rather spend his last days doing what makes him happy instead of going through the hell of 'therapy' and most likely, dying anyway? There are some things you can be diagnosed with that are so horrible to treat (in terms of side effects) and so limited in success, that some people would rather just die. I am just wild ass speculating, but the issue is valid. It's why I support choice for euthanasia.

Here's a flashback to the 1960's for those old enough to remember, which around here, with all you young whippersnappers, is probably few. I've got a new poll over at my website. The first one I did on Why God Abandoned Sarah Palin was extremely well received. I hope you enjoy this little trip back down memory lane as well....

    Pancreatic cancer.

If he told the truth, presumably Apple would tank.
