I can't help but think the Republicans in Alaska can steal this election. I won't be able to celebrate until the race is declared.

I must be a geographicl elitist but....
How in the hell did Stevens even get close?
Is this mockery a validation of the ignorance of so many Alaskans?

;-) Do you think that, in light of his conviction, and (hopefully) the loss of his Senate seat, they'll rename the airport in Anchorage? One can only hope.

From Minneapolis Star Tribune:
Franken seeks access to rejected absentee data
The Democratic candidate, locked in a tight Senate race with Republican Norm Coleman, is suing for access to data on voters who had their absentee ballots rejected.
Attorney Mark Elias said the campaign may present cases of wrongly rejected absentee ballots to the newly-formed canvassing board that will oversee the recount in the U.S. Senate race between Franken and U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman.
Elias told a news conference this morning of the case in Beltrami County (where officials have already provided the names Franken seeks) in which an elderly woman’s absentee ballot was rejected because her current stroke-impaired signature didn’t match the signature on file.
"...I called and just told him I was sorry for the way it turned out."
Huh?
Shouldn't Stevens have said that to Dittman? Is this a Rethuglican gene? You devote a big part of your life to someone/cause, get betrayed, then go victim?

Republicans File Suit to Overturn McCain Finance Law
Cruel irony and a big help to the Stevens of the world.

So the early and absentee votes are going against Stevens because they were cast in the immediate aftermath of his felony convictions. And meanwhile Sarah Palin is urging Republicans to keep Democrats honest. What farce!!
