Why does John McCain hate reality?
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
He hates the Obama reality, and would preserve his own twisted reality.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Because reality says one of his many maladies will probably kill him within a couple years.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Feh...why bother? We know what the outcomes will be.

Meanwhile, Politico has a wishful thinking article (with no source names, of course) cadged by AOL. This meme is being pounded to death--wouldn't the Rethugs just love having an incumbent VP to take over in 2012, or even before, should something happen to President Obama?

    http://news.aol.com/elections/article/obama-con...
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Did you happen to read the comments to the article at aol. Holy jumping sugar tit. Not a single comment that I read (about 20) did not have racist and bigoted statements. We have gone past the tipping point. I thought the lunatics in my town were nuts, Holy Hell they are everywhere.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Yeah, but you gotta figure this was venom waiting to rear it's ugly head. The world is ready for change, and this generatiion of racists will pass. The Obama presidency will be the beginning of their end.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
No, there's a lot of young racists, especially in the South.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
trust me, there is TONS of bigotry down here. Tons of it. I know a lot of educated and fairly moderate adults who simply will NEVER vote for the N*****r. When I mention that he is fifty percent Caucasian, it does not matter. He looks like one and therefore they cannot possibly vote for one. It is truly sick.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
This is what pains me about this country. Racism is deeper than most people
want to admit. If race is known to be the deciding factor when it all goes thru the
wash, it'll tear this country apart for sure.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
And don''t think it is only down here. There are going to be a lot of
people voting McCain ONLY because of race. God help us.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I know, and I've spent the better half of a lifetime trying to look the "other"
way so to speak. It's that inner struggle of of action and non-action that
we all have to deal with. Acknowledge it--and ignore it.

I'm seriously considering moving out of this country ASAP. I do a lot of
internet content writing and I'm at at the point of being able to make a
living from anywhere in the world.

I can see the fall of America, and this will be the cancer that caused it.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
I envy you. I am currently looking into Canada as my mom was Canadian born.
And they need teachers there. I don't know yet. I am prepping for McSame
stealing this. I am getting tired of being a politically thoughtful person.
I am seriously looking to ignore it all and just shut my doors till they
    come for me.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I think Canada would be a pleasant choice. I think teaching
is a worthwhile profession. Imagine being to affect
minds in a postive way. "A chance to make a difference."

Go for it man:) I'm like you. I'm tired of trying to firgure it
all out. I just want to be in a place where I can make a
    difference.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
I love what I do although it is barely paying the bills anymore. Thank god
for my electric bike! I get 1200 miles to the gallon in energy equivalency.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I think you should look into writing! You're a superior writer, and there are a lot of gigs for writing internet
content that you could make a killing at. I write a lot
of freelance stuff; real estate content, SEO content,
    jazz reviews, blog materia, etc.

It's as simple as setting up a bank account/pay pal
account, and then watching your talent take off.

You have a gift---this is no BS. Your writing is
engaging, clear, informative and comical as hell.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
wow....that is a very nice compliment ....I always thought my writing
sucked. I would have no clue as to where to begin finding gigs! But I
    do have a paypal account....heehee.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
    Here's a start:

    http://www.freelancewriting.com

On the left side of the column you'll see
where it says freelance writing jobs.

Highlight this and it takes you to a link
that says "online writing jobs". You can
take your pick of the litter.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Thank you very much for this info! Wow!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
My pleasure! It'll take a while
to make all the pieces fit.

    But, you have an immense
    talent. Take your time. The
    pieces will begin to fall
    in place.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago

Pardon the intrusion, but I must say it is so nice reading this exchange.

    BQiD,
blackwolf is right. Reading your comments is very enjoyable and sometimes disturbing and usually thrilling. Go for it!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
    Truly, the man has
    immense writing talent.
He has the ability to establish
    a writing voice.

If you find something you like, go to your
bank and ask them for a routing number.
You'll need this when setting up a paypal
account that links to your bank account.

I use my savings account, and not my
    checking account.

Go to : "ehow.com...and type in "how to set
up a paypal account, and your should
    find some fairly easy instructions.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
    here is the direct url.

    http://www.online-writing-jobs.com/

Take some time to look over this page.
You'll get familiar with what type of content
    businesses/people are looking for.

On the other hand BQID: It's a pleasure being able to weigh in on the thoughts and comments of highly intelligent people like yourself. It eases the burden and allows me to cling to hope.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Bette Midler once said she stopped watching the new at night because
it gave her insomnia. She'd go to bed all upset and finally just said
    fuck it.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I'm almost there! It's looking at people like McCain and
feelin' the pain that people will vote for the man solely on
    his wrinkled A*s paint job.

Racism aside: it pains me to think that this is the best candidate
that White America could field. There were far.....far better
candidates that could have fit the republican agenda.

    I can't figure it out! It's a mystery that I can't wrap my mind
around. Do these type of people sit in a dark room, and
laugh at the ignorance of the white blue collar workers, and
the educated white middle class male or female that
refuses to vote for man based on the color of his skin?

BQID: I think you know I'm not predjudiced or racist in the
least, and we can field the same argument for blacks that
have been taken down the road by so-called black leaders.

But, is this really the legacy of White America? Is racism
    this alive and well?
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
I wish someone like Dave Chappelle would spoof the McCainiaks with something similar to his skit of a 1950s white family who's last name was "Niggers".

I picture a 'got milk' type bumper sticker that says: "Hate Niggers? Vote Republican! "

I'm white, but I love the way Chappelle puts whites on the diffensive about their biggotry. Of course it's great comedy too.

Politically this would automatically trigger the biggots to circle their wagons and go defensive. The thing is, when they circle their wagons, they leave all the independents and fair minded people out side. They're left with only 27%.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
    yes that would be brilliant....
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I know, but it's my hope:)
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
McCain might be on the attack, but to no avail. OB-man's trip abroad is serious business. He's letting the world know that he can operate on the "world" stage. And, he's planning to meet with some serious heavyweights on getting the economy back on track for both the short and long term here in the US. This is powerful stuff, and McCain and his cronies are shaking in their boots.

Obama is looking presidential! I can see the world holding its breadth. The enrire world is ready for change.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
nice summation of the BS being pushed by McLiar about Obama and the troop visit...it'll be interesting to see how each of them handles this today.

Been seeing Thune crop up alot, lately.

    Think he's McCain's veep? I do.

He's young, sleazy and the Wingnuts love him.
  • lilybart · 1 year ago
Meet the Press has much higher ratings than Georgie's show, so that is the good news. And Face the Nation has both Hagel and Reed, OUR guys.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Poor Claire has to be on Fox with Thune and Ben Stein.

That woman better get a cabinet position for this.
  • jr · 1 year ago
one of the co hosts on Fox and Friends this morning called McCombover's new ad "good stuff"
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
    here's what i think:
until now, the plan has been for McCain to be all smiley and nice (thanks to Cindy's meds)

now, the gloves come off and the real McCain rears its ugly head...
there may be some back and forth on this, depending on the audience, but McCain is still the same old asshole he always was.
  • lauren1959 · 1 year ago
Note the Obama economic summit taking place tomorrow including a list of heavyweights a mile long.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
    Good Grief,
The Morning host said McCain had a good week....better than Obama...because McCain was in the States talking about American issues and not outside of America.

You can't tell me that the media will find any opportunity to TRY and make this a close election. To actually think that McCain had a good week.

We can predict it without watching it: Obama may have won over Europe, but his "act" won't play in Peoria, who remember how Old Europe wouldn't support us in the War on Terror; Obama disses the troops both by not visiting the wounded warriors and by visiting them because he only wants to exploit them; the Landstuhl "controversy" was a game-changing gaffe for Obama and makes McCain the winner of the week.
  • therepguy · 1 year ago
Why does dirty old men such as John McCain have such a need to control the lives of young men durning times of war? Shouldn't a younger man such as Obama have that right... at least he's more connecting to the young and the young trust him! Obama rules and McCain and the men his age should be home playing with there grandkids and not spend all of there time looking for new ways to kill our troops!
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Those little moments that define what is truly wrong with this nation...we are driving to go shopping this morning. We come to a fully green light. A HUGE SUV sitting stopped at the green light. Why? The bitch is texting and putting on makeup at a fucking green light. I swear it's hopeless. Texting and applying eye makeup....jesus fuck me sideways in traffic....
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    There's your typical McBush voter.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    same. old. mccain.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
Seeing Obama on NBC which is takling about the real issues in America. Have not heard them go down the low road and attack McCain, but is remaining the issues at hand.

    It's refreshing.
  • GrMtGirl · 1 year ago
It will take great control not to retaliate in the "dirty pool politics" McCain has displayed . . . Obama's campaign will have to spend some words of clarification, understandably, but I think it will be unwise to lower their present honorable standards of politics.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
agreed. i think Obama has done very well on this so far. there's a way to stay above the fray while still calling out their dirty tricks...
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
On Face the Nation, Hagel - R said McCain's TV ad about Obama preferring to lose the war is inappropriate.

    Thankful for little things, here.
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
McCain was on ABC, I missed it. Did anybody notice if Stephanopolis was wearing need pads so he could service McCain with his favorite "donut" during the break? Inquiring minds want to know.

John Thune, who got in bed with male prostitute and GOP operative James Guckert / Jeff Gannon during his campaign, is on Faux News Sunday.
    Perfect.
