Every once in a great while I tune in the MSM blah blah shows. The subtle negatives against the Dems are becoming louder and not so subtle. Today they are harping on Hillary...making it clear that Hillary is still in play somehow...through some fantasy stretch of the MSM imagination. Knowing that Billary can destroy Obama/Biden paving her yellow brick road for 2012...allowing McSame to steal another SCOTUS annointing. Hillary-Dorothy...click your ruby slipper jackboot heels three times, girlfriend, and kiss your scarecrow goodbye.

Yes the subtle negatives, his immaturity, his youth, his lack of experience, Biden was the choice because he is unqualified, Biden as a loose cannon, Biden has supported McCain in the past. There is no objectivity or fairness in their comments and race, I feel, is one of the underlying themes. The South knows all the secret phrases and insinuations they have been attempting to cover their bigotry since the civil war. As for Hillary, she and Bill are manipulating behind the scenes. Who leaked the rumor that she wasn't vetted, not considered--i would put my money on the Hillary camp. I don't want to start down a whole Hillary comment but her and her campaign misjudged Obama and his team and then when they ran into debt, played race and every other thing that popped into their head. I also fail to see how the women's movement see her as their champion. She has shown no independence, would have no money or fame without Bill, voted for the war, manufactured false histrionics and then was not big enough to accept defeat. I greatly resent both Bill and Hillary and Chelsea speaking at the Convention. This is Obama and Biden's time, the Clinton families time has passed.

Hillary's incredible remarks on Bobby Kennedy not being assassinated until June erased any feelings of respect I had for the Clintons.

I agree with everything you've said. I don't want the Clintons to try and steal Obama's and Biden's thunder. I wish they could be completely cut out of the convention somehow.
I think at the end of day though, that we'll see an Obama presidency. People are tired--the people that matter in this country. What we're experience are the pains of "the changing of the guard". We can't compete in the new world economy with racist and bigoted mindsets.
The women's movement is "race based", and this is evident in many of her supporters wanting to support Mc"Realtor". There's no other explanation for it.
We just have to keep pumping out the good news.

I think we'll survive. We'll see her last attempt to stay afloat at the convention. Haha...she wasn't even on the short list. She must be totally pissed off. I just hate to see the Clinton's on stage.

She used to pull this shit at the Yale Law School. From the very beginning many who knew them said that her ultimate goal was to be President herself and allowed much of the Bill shit to happen, knowing the Dems would fail for a while and she'd be ready for it. I would not put it past them to fund McCain

What is so nuts is that her supporters can't see the forrest for the trees. The republicans praise her only because they wanted her to run as president or even on Obama's ticket because they know that will unite the base. Can't these supporters see that. I hope Biden who I voted for in the primary will really help clinch the election. They got to go after McCain about his lies.

Regardless of whether Obama wins or loses, the Clintons have always been closet Republicans. I always have wondered why Republicans have hated the Clintons so much when so much of the Clintons' agenda has been taken page for page from the Republican playbook. The Republicans have to be idiots to waste so much time and bile of the Clintons when the Clintons sold their souls to Satan in the blood contract that was essentially a copy of the one the Republicans made with the Devil. It is like Hitler bitterly hating Musolini for killing more French, American and British soldiers than the Nazi Germans did. Or damning the Japanese for their successful attack on Pearl Harbor.

NAFTA, Welfare "Reform," Oil Industry Megamergers, Banking "deregulation"....... I always thought a Repub would have been impeached if he did all the toadying to big business that Clinton did.
But, I guess the Fundies and Neocons wanted their pieces of the action too, and that's where Clinton drew the line.

A poll to freep
Folks, ya gotta' go here and freep this. This is WNBC's local NYC site. It asks if Obama made the right choice for VP. It's 51% to 49% against the Biden choice! This figure was broadcast on their nightly news last night. This is NYC. What's up?
Go and freep it.

Well you know the Clinton machine is out there paying some to take the poll. Biden is a good choice. If these 2 guys go out and fight for the ticket the democratics can't lose. But leave it to the democratics to self-destruct. If they want' 4 more yrs of bush left them have it. Means the draft will be back, McCain will try to privatize social security, pro-choice gone. All this because Hillary and Bill couldn't or won't support Obama. If Obama loses the election I will stop voting all together. It will be the last chance this country has at real change. I voted for Bill twice. All I can say is what selfish hateful people they are to but themselves before the party.

Point well made. The Clintons are really showing the world what they're made of. Hillary hasn't pushed her group to get on the bandwagon. She's still smarting from the loss, and I think we can all see it. My hopes are that Obama and Biden will carry the day.
Biden has the ability to penetrate the minds of the people of Ohio, Pennslyvania. He'll carry the Catholic vote, and the law enforcement vote. Unions should be on board as well. He's about as blue-collar as you can get.. He's at the top of his game on foreign issues as well,.
Hillary and Bill have proven to be politcs as usual. I was thinking that Obama would need to put Hillary on the ticket---and I am so thankful that he didn't.

I'm not into polls, but that one certainly is not "scientific", random, or unbiased. Radio callers? Maybe that station was very pro-Clinton. I'm reading that NY is very divided about Clinton, not solidly behind her, and that she is putting the NY delegation to the convention in a very tricky spot.

That is great. Maybe it will backfire on Hillary and her follow republicans. She deserves to get the backlash. Just watching the last ad first time this morning will show democratics how the republicans and Hillary are working together behind close doors. Her brother and other democratics went to a get together for McCain. That tells me she is working for McCain. I hope Obama and company keep their distance from her and not talk to much around her people.

This is the letter I sent to Ron Fournier's boss at Associated Press.
One of the things that is important to impartial journalism is impartiality. It seems that GOP talking points are the only things Ron Fournier has to offer. Criticism is important, but to simply regurgitate talking points and spin is to me beneath objective journalism. I am a strong advocate of the freedom of the press and the freedom of speech, two fundamentals that need to be restored in America. In reading Mr. Fournier's piece is is evident that personal bias and animosity are the key elements in his crafting an opinion. I have decided to stop reading any article which carries the AP tag, it is important to me to get both sides of the story, but to be so far off base and to be so be nothing but a shill for the Republican party and then enjoy cover under AP's reputation for informed reporting is too much.
I also resent Mr. Fournier using his positon at AP as a springboard for his tv appearances. He is not a strategist and unless he is on the payroll of either the McCain campaign or the Bush administration has no credentials to pass himself off as Associated Press and have the general public believe that he speaks for your organization. Time to examine yourselves and see if you live up to your mission statement.
Taken from your home page: The Associated Press is the essential global news network, delivering fast, unbiased news from every corner of the world to all media platforms and formats.
Hard to believe that the word bias does not permeate every sentence of Fournier's piece.

Editorials, opinion pieces and advocacy are a traditional part of the news media but good journalism realizes that they need a stone wall between journalism and the previously enumerated pieces. Journalism itself must be objective, trustworthy and impartial. The idea that journalism is advocacy is unethical, corrupt, bankrupt, fundamentally undemocratic and un-American. Advocacy has it's place in the media, but only when it is clearly labeled as advocacy and not pretended to be objective, impartial, unbiased journalism.

Glad the Obama people are starting to use Rendell.
That guy wins over lunchbucket voters and older voters every time he appears on TV.
The GOP will stoop to any lengths to "divide and conquer" for their own personal gain (that means "big oil" and wealthy people). GOP wants to fool and leave the American people with the false Perception and impression that Barack has no experience and is an empty suit. Let's be clear, Obama Has experience, it 's just not Washington experience and he also has Vision and inspiration, enough to enoble men to have hope again. He offers real change and forward thinking progressive ideas and solutions to Really solve the current problems facing us today. One of Barack's strongest assets is that he is unmired by the trappings of wealth and power -- that means big oil, as we have to find an alternative solution to oil, if the United States is to continue to be prosperous and to thrive. All of these attributes are which makes Barack a truly great leader of men, needed for these times!
And to damp down this false perception that he has no experience, Barack pragmatically chose for Vice President, Joe Biden, a man who is wise in foreign affairs, unlike John McCain, "who, despite the hype, doesn't seem to know as much about foreign affairs as they want us to believe! And, is also confused as to how many homes he owns and what kind of car he drives!
McCain recently talked at length about problems on the "Iraq/Pakistan border" – the countries are a thousand miles apart. Asked how to deal with Darfur, he mused about "bringing pressure on the government of Somalia". Uh – it's Sudan, Senator McCain. And he keeps expressing his desire to build up US relations with Czechoslovakia, a country that hasn't existed for 15 years. "
Those of us who care deeply about the Truth need to debunk this notion that John McCain is so knowledegeable about foreign affairs, because it is another lie they want us to swallow.
Just because McCain spent five years (5) as a POW prisoner, does not make him an expert on foreign affairs, what it does make him an expert on is on how to survive as a prisoner. Let us not be fooled again, because saying its so, does not make it so. And, saying Barack Obama does not have experience, does not make it so.

This is fun, snarky, to the point, and right in line with Biden's comments:
The new anti-Obama hit spot about 60s radical David Ayers, funded by a Dallas billionaire who helped bankroll the Swift Boat Veterans attack, aired in the SW Ohio media market this morning in Stephie's This Week...The spot appeared back to back with a This Week bump in of Obama directly attacking the Bush/McCain attack anything, kitchen sink smear gambit. Most offensive is how the spot conflates the Weather Underground actions with 9/11's suspected attack on the US Capitol. Cue Rudy's rat-toothed smile and insane giggle...

Something's wrong in the rebuttal process: Ayers is a man give a "pass" by the government. He's a tenured professor, on the board of serveral foundations, and an active (and accepted) member of the Chicago community.
The Obama campaign needs to stress the fact that if it's the government's policy to allows this man to "move about the cabin freely", then it's quite all right with the rest of us.
I think at the end of day though, that we'll see an Obama presidency. People are tired--the people that matter in this country. What we're experience are the pains of "the changing of the guard". We can't compete in the new world economy with racist and bigoted mindsets.
