Good morning...glad you had some nice time off with Petey....you deserved it Joe!

Just read this in the NY Times....George Bush is certified delusional:

Bush Weighs In on His Legacy

George W. Bush said he wants to be remembered as a president who "did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process."

    http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/28/b...

    He actually believes THAT?!?!.....

He NEEDS to believe his own bile spewing forth.

Otherwise, he'd jump out of the nearest basement window. (yes, he'd screw THAT up as well)

No problem, you can't sell what you don't have

    Welcome back Joe and Petey.

Could you regularly post a pic of Petey? Speaking on behalf of most of us, we'd love it!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
    Yes, we would !

Is Matthews running or isn't he?

Surely we don't need to find his hairdresser who knows for sure.

Welcome back. I missed the poem on Saturday. I also missed the orchids on Friday. In fact . . . well, never mind. Welcome back.

    Welcome back...we want pics!

Meanwhile, Claire McCaskill is brave indeed...but Fox? Yeeesh.

Someone mentioned yesterday, wondering aloud, if the attacks in Mumbai were black ops. Not to get all conspiratorial about it, but wouldn't tensions between Pakistan and India mean a lot of profit for the war machine?

    For Franken, a math problem

Challenged ballots may offer the Senate challenger a path to overtaking Coleman, but numbers indicate it would be a tough route.

......Mansky said earlier that Franken has a better chance of winning by suing to force the counting of absentee ballots that the Democrat contends were mistakenly rejected.

"Franken's best [and perhaps his only] chance will be in court, not with the recount," Mansky said.

Franken's campaign has indicated that it might sue or take its case to the U.S. Senate, which can decide such disputes and is led by Democrats.

Hey, if it's good enough for bush, then by ALL MEANS Mr. Franken, go for it. The precedent has been set. Actually something to thank bush for.

    • Jeez, I'm sick of the same parade of usual suspects, Pickles excluded, haunting these tube remnants of a bygone era like there's nobody else outa 300+ million of us who could gush platitudes and conventional wisdom...
And speaking of remnants of a bygone era, I'm not detecting any noticeable Tweetymentum as there's certainly no shortage of power-mad, quisling-esque reformed Bush spear-carriers staggering about the revolving door DC studio landscape hungering for props. Sadly predictable that Tweety's fame mania would manifest a lunacy like this likely self-rumored Senate run as his popularity declines inside 30 Rock...What a feast he offers attack ad producers on the left and right.

I will post some Petey pics later today. He is amazingly photogenic (and that's just not me saying it.) He went from the Wash. Humane Society Shelter on New York Ave in DC to walking the streets of New York City in just a few short days. He's a great little guy...a worthy successor to the Boomer. And, those were some big paws to fill.

I'm setting here watching CBS's Face the Nation and a funny little through just past through my head...

Bush's mark on this nation will out last my lifetime and that of my son... it will be both dark and nasty!

But the one overwhelming result of bushism, my term for the neo-con's fascist leanings... may well be that the nation is moved/pushed on to socialism because of bush and his fascist enablers!

    Talk about unforeseen consequences...

In response to a string of public accusations from Delhi, officials in Islamabad said troops could be moved to the Indian border if relations continue to deteriorate.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/...

QUES: What is the objective (of the attack on Mumbai)?
Ahmed Rashid: It is a military strategic objective to get the army out of Bajour and stop the US from stepping in. If tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, the army will be moved to the Indian border, as happened in 2002. After the attacks on the Parliament House in Delhi, India built up troops on the border. Pakistan responded by moving its army from the Afghanistan border to the Indian one. And al-Qaeda had a free run of FATA . They are looking to repeat the exercise.

However, 9/11 did not lead to an "infidel" retreat. On the contrary, the "Great Satan" hit back, destroying the structures created in Afghanistan to sustain global terror. That persuaded some al Qaeda leaders that a new strategy was needed. Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda's number two, started advocating one in 2003, arguing that the Jihad should first target Muslim countries where it had a chance of toppling the "impious" regimes.

In the government service, promotion of good governance is part of the primer task and obligation to the people and the country as well. For a more accessible and more comfortable kind of service, improvement is one way of advancement in technology. It is not an easy task as we all know. It even requires big expenses for the technical maintenance and management. Handling a team is also crucial task because player management and coaching requires critical and intellectual decisions and ideas. Most Valuable Player from Woodland, California, Dustin Pedroia has been a consistent spark plug for the Boston Red Sox all year long. What he does for Boston is what short-term installment loans can do for you when you’re experiencing temporary financial difficulties. The mark Pedroia made during his 2007 American League Rookie season was a strong indication that Beantown had a talented second baseman on their side. Yet no one was ready for the kind of numbers he knocked out. Quite similar to installment loans, he is also no-hassle and provides powerful, effective service. Short term installment loans can provide you the financial help you need when you need it. Click here to read more about Short Term Installment Loans.
