AMERICAblog: "Taking on the System" -- definitely worth taking on

The government had better get its hands on the internet VERY soon. Total control. Jail time for all of us. I think Marie Antoinette would want us cake eaters to line up for Madame Guillotine. Les Tricotreux...the knitters...are seated and counting. Un, deux, trois....sorry Chris in Paris...not sure of spelling...been forty years since French class. It's just a matter of time before this internet thingy gets squashed. If Obama wins big in November, the rightwing is going to do everything in its power to get this under control in time for 2012.

The MIC gave us the means to destroy it. Not to boast because they're extremely powerful. They will stop at nothing to crush the progressive movement including eventually killing us.

Anyone else watch the Obama/Sarkozy presser? Another excellent performance by Senator Obama and damn near an endorsement from our rightwing's fav French President.
Also, Chris or JA, any background or steamy suspicions on the very cute young male French reporter who offered a question in the early going?

Obama just looks like a statesman in his Euro environs. I personally DO care what Europeans think of our leader. I was living in Europe when Raygun was elected. All I remember hearing, over and over, was "How the fuck can the USA elect a B-movie actor who acts like a faux cowboy?" At the time, I just sorta shrugged it off. Now I realize why they turn out in Europe to see Obama. He looks and feels like a real statesman. This of course will piss off the white trash voter but for me, personally, I am feeling much better about being an American again. I wish I had lots of money to help him more. A meager 100 bucks over this past year is all I can handle. Oh god please let this man get all the way to 1600 Penn Ave.

I remember when Reagan was President and the environment now overseas is SO MUCH WORSE for American ex-pats than it has EVER BEEN in my lifetime. People still loved Americans when Raygun was President - not so much because of Bu$hco.

The funny thing is they are fully aware of what has happened to our culture
over there. The whole "Walmarting of the Republican Party". The pact that
the GOP has made with the Falwells, the Robertsons, the Hagees, has worked.
They are laughing at us. It's been going on now for thirty years and it may
take another generation to heal the wounds caused by this. Divide and
conquer. Karl Rove has been working at this MO for his entire career. Ever
seen that footage with Dan Rather of him as a college kid in 1972 working to
help Nixon? I was in college in that year and anyone of that age working for
Nixon was a total misfit. A nerd, a misfit, pimples, ugly, bad skin, bad
hair. Karl Rove in his twenties....probably wasn't getting laid good. Or who
knows maybe he was. This outsider nerd saw his moment to grab power by
working for the establishment. He was out of the mainstream that year with
kids his own age group. He must have had a very good draft deferment to be
supporting the establishment. The rest of us were burning draft cards,
wearing long hair, and smoking a helluva lotta weed. He probably liked Pat
Boone records, too. All well and good EXCEPT he gained the power he has had
these last thirty years to change the culture with lies and crimes.

Speaking of "the system," Bob Cesca had a good article over at "Huffpo" in which he points out the very telling example of mainstream traditional media all using the word "presumptuous" to describe Barack Obama's travels abroad.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/the-bar...

My take on it is the word "presumptuous" is code for "uppity n-word" and the Obama camp should be ALL OVER IT!

I can't get over how bug-eyed the white trash has become. They are absolutely terrified and it's unnerving. I just want to go into avoid mode. One taped a tiny pic of the New Yorker magainze cover onto my computer at work. I pulled it off and threw it away. I'm totally a-political at work as we should be so I don't feel targeted, but he's losing it. So then a few days ago, I noticed he had a slightly larger version taped to the coffee machine in the break room. It's just as we said it would be viewed by the wingnuts. He acts like that's real or he wants others to believe it is so they wont vote for Obama.

Do not try to debate them, just slowly make an exit. They're becoming seriously deranged and dangerous, I think. You should read some of the derangement at freeperville. Hoo boy. They were calling the Germans who turned out to see Obama, "Germany's left-wing fascists." Sheesh, are their heads exploding.
