AMERICAblog: Temper, temper

    sen. mccain gets very confused.
  • d4v3 · 1 year ago
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) congressional scorecard gave McCain a dismal 20% rating.

So first he says he only supports supporting people who want to be career military and thus completely avoids the question. Then, he blatantly lies about his voting record, is called on it by a vet, and infers there are different versions of his voting record. Wow, that is wierd. This is going to be easy if we can keep him on camera like this.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Conversely, wouldn't that also mean that McBush can't question the judgment of the majority of Americans who are non-vets and want to get the hell out of Iraq?

After all, we're not a military dictatorship, but McBush is straining mightily to please the NeoCon element and Big Business, while questioning the right of a citizen (military or non-military) to speak his or her mind.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
"Please sir... don't interrupt me when I'm spinning facts... you should know about my temper by now... and that your being a Vet doesn't mean fuckall to me... hell, just look how my campaign attacks John Kerry! and he isn't even running!" - mcsames pissed off express
  • Rab · 1 year ago
McCain does a poor job of lying. He's confused and then becomes angry, totally unfit to serve as President.....too old.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I'm a few months older than McSame, and I think he is too old to serve. There may be some who could handle the job at 72, but he is obviously not one of them, and neither am I.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
found this in the comments on youtube... if they're true, mccain is gonna be toast if he keeps opening his mouth. his temper is finally going to catch up to him:

    — Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America gave McCain a grade of D for his record of voting against veterans. (By contrast, Obama got a B+.)

-- Disabled Veterans of America noted McCain's dismal 20 percent voting record on veterans' issues. (Obama had an 80 percent.)

-- In a list of "Key Votes," Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) notes McCain "Voted Against Us" 15 times and "Voted For Us" only 8 (Obama voted for VVA 12 times, and against only once.)

"damn you people for bringing out all those confounded facts about me!!" - john mcsame ?/?/2008
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Good work! I knew he was lying his ass off.
  • ThornPapers · 1 year ago
I had actually been blogging just this bit of video when I saw John's post. This post over at The Thorn Papers has links to all the roll call votes the Vet was referring ot in the video.
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
But buddy you ain't talkin to the right Vets. Again he says speak no evil (but does), If he keeps this up these townhall meetings aren't going to be a place he'll want to be.

great... now I've got Henry Rollins screaming in my head :-)
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
I live in Orange County, Calif, Goldwater Country! I just saw my first "McCain" bumper sticker today, and I didn't enjoy the experience. Everyday that goes by, I dislike that guy more and more! McCain seems to be his own worst enemy!
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
In San Diego, we have a saying we use whenever someone says they're from OC... "Oh, you live in Orange County?... I'm sorry."
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
I've lived in OC for 22 years. For the Bush/Cheney years, I look at the faces of so many people here, and I want to ask them all if they have any idea what they've done to the rest of us! I do think it's amazing that McCain stickers aren't on everything moving here! We have a Dem running against Dana Rohrabacher, and she actually has a tiny chance! I see Obama stickers! Is this too much to hope for?
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
You poor thing to have McCain sticker is bad enough. But to have Rohrabacker that is the perfect insult. The guy is a loser because his momma and papa couldn't think up a boy names for him so they gave him a girls name. Sweet jesus.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Yeah, I live in Orange County too. Would characterize it as Strom Thrumond-Jesse Helms country more than Goldwater. More retrogressive than Mississippi, Georgia or Alabama, more robes and hoods-nooses here than in the deep south.

Bush insults Berlusconi bigtime at the G8 summit. The first time Bush ever spoke the truth and he apologises. Punk like his dad!

BBC: The "insulting" biography was included in a press kit distributed to reporters travelling with President George W Bush to a meeting of world leaders in Japan.

Berlusconi was "one of the most controversial leaders" of a country "known for governmental corruption and vice".

  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
Temper Fi... I like that. Yoink! ;-)
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
This specific question needs to come from vet after vet at McCain event after event until this little old fuck's head explodes.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Oh yes, you are right. At each and every town hall meeting McCain needs to answer to the vets of this country. The damn media refuses to publish his blatant lies, but if the vets hold his feet to the fire maybe it will force the press to address these blatant lies.
  • ChicagoKid · 1 year ago
McCloset's been doing to many poopers and too many republicans.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
you'd think SOMEONE on his campaign staff would see that there should be a link (in most people's minds anyway) between his being a Veteran and his voting record.

how can you run on your Veteran 'war hero' status and have a voting record that shows you don't give a flying fuck about Vets??

    it boggles the mind.
  • Donna_Z · 1 year ago
Well damn, how dare that guy diss John McCain's service as a POW hero. It's a good thing Andrea Mitchell wasn't there, she'd spin that guy a good one. (/snark)
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
McCain lies, and the idiots who go to these things clap.
No wonder America has been going down the shitter.
  • Paul_In_SF · 1 year ago
Doesn't take much fact checking. McCain was against the Web bill to give vets educational funding. And, yep, I'm a vet, so my criticism counts...
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Essentially, what he is saying is that anyone who didn't serve is a second class citizien, except, given this is guy is a Republican, the word citizen is not really applicable either. That is, he would only give voting rights to military veterans. But wait. Let's take this even further as Republicans usually. Veterans should be ranked by their service, officers first, special forces service qualifies for additional priviliages, Purple Hearts and those injured on duty deserving greater rights, POWs also, also those with the most spinach on their chests or fancy rope hanging from their shoulders, get to trample on others. Only the highest veterans automatically are our rulers, yes, I mean rulers and not leaders. Ruler of the nation is determined by armed might, as are any disputed positions of nobility. Surfs, of course, may not own land or swords/guns. No women in the military unless that woman can earn the right by defeating a military man in life and death armed combat. Women and surfs must bow or grovel before all nobility and may be excuted by the sword for failure to drop fast enough to ground ... unless the surf or woman ... pleases the nobleman.

    .
    Yeah.

Gotta love the hand-picked audience. McCain puts off a real Vet with a phony tribute to the troops, the crowd drowns out the actual Vet standing right in front of them. Putting off the Vets: "YAAAAAAAY!!!!!"

That's the Repukelickin Party to a "T" for temper. McCain's INFURIATED question to his staff later:
    "I told you no VETS!!!!
    !!!!!@~#$%^&*(())_+|{:>&$^#^%$&)(@_+<?!!!!!
WHO LET THAT GODDAMNED VET IN HERE!!!!!?????"

"Sorry, Sir. It won't happen again."

Benefits are only for Lifers, like McBush & his Dad & his Grampaw. No sense wasting them on short-timers & cripples & the families of KIA's. McBush is out of the closet on this, now. Time for the real Vets to bring him down. HOO-HAH.

Thank god for the veteran who kept his ground and asked.
Ole Jonny gets pretty testy pretty quickly when anyone questions him or even suggests that his words or policies might be in error or, well yah, just plain wrong. I don't think gramps thinks well on his feet. If he can't just plow on through whats on the teleprompter its short shrift for any unlucky questioner. BUT IT ALL SHOWS JOHN! He doesn't seem to have grasped that everything is on tape. Those times he said one thing one day and the opposite the next day. And that sort of stuff just does not make for great image building.
  • cosanostradamus · 1 year ago
    .
    Yeah.
Everrything's kewl as long as things are going his way. But let something go wrong, let somebody question or contradict him, and blooey! Imagine this schmuck in a world-crisis situation, getting conflicting advice from CIA, NSA, DOD, etc? Imagine McBush with the crown on, finger on the button, and everybody afraid to gainsay him? KABLOOOOEY!!!

If the Pukes do what they usually do, and start having their surrogates run really nasty ads about Obama, I hope some surrogates of his already have this kinda sh*t on tape. "Is this the man we want holding the nuclear trigger"? KAAAAAAAAAAABLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYY!!!!
A la Goldwater, fellow nutsy Arizona military pilot.

Maybe it's just the psychology of the guy who can indiscriminately dump bombs on men, women and children from safely high above, and then jet home for a rum and coke at the O-Club with some other guy's wife. God is his f*cking copilot.

So much for his skill at the "looser, unscripted, informal" town hall format. BWAHAWHAHA!

The man served 20 hours of combat for this country, and he expects us to be indebted to him for centuries, as if no other American citizen could have crashed a few planes and burned the taxpayer's money as if it was an entitlement.
I have an idea, GOP - why not let the gays be called heroes - after all, they get discharged because you big straight boys claim that your inability to protect your peepee in the shower has nothing to do with defending the country. So the gays have served America knowing their likely reward is eventual contempt and second-class citizenship from Republicans. Maybe THAT should be the criteria for being elected President, don't-ya-think?
  • High Crimes & Misdemeanors · 1 year ago
Does anyone find it odd, that here we have an actual person questioning mccain and almost calling him a liar on TV. You couldn't have done that with bush... oh hell no, the jack booted thugs in his campaign would never have allowed a vet to question bush like that. so why do you think that is?

My answer: the repukes are just serving up john mccain to loose. they know hes gonna loose, so they are just letting him have it. mccain is the poster boy for sycophant "leadership." he's right up there with ried and pelosi. complete REPUKE!!!!

I think someone is shading the truth here.

Can someone examine the Vets statements here and see if McCain's voting record adds up to what McCain claims? McCain and the audience cuts the Vets point off so it is hard to clearly hear his argument and its facts.
  • cab02149 · 1 year ago
The applause I can't figure out. They must be hired hands. The George Bush method of meeting the public. Makes me ill. All the rest was John McCain burping up his last meal. No surprise there. His resentfulness towards the questioner was clear. Is he all there is?
  • Mikki --SE Pennsylvania · 1 year ago
I believe what is at issue is "serving honorably." Insane McBush3 knows nothing about Honorable service. Had he not had insiders (Adm. Daddy McC at least) I suspect Jonny would have been booted out of the service. The MSM, so securely in his pocket, seem unwilling to deal with any of the real tyruth about McCain's shady past. He collaborated with the enemy, the North Vietnamese, and to this day there are sealed records which good ole Jonny could ill afford to have exposed to the light of truth. Even all the money of his drug-addict androit current wife wouldnt be enought to repair the image damage that the cold light of truth would do to the carefully burnished image.
McCain is a warmonger, a total fraud , a crook, and a moral leper.
