    There is very little in the way of "facts" in that piece. Just one paragraph of speculation and "some say" statements after another. I haven't put much stock in Carl Bernstein's "analysis" this election season.

    It's hard to believe that Clinton thinks all she has to do is threaten a tantrum and that will push Obama to hand her the Veep's job. It is evidence of a very childish nature and people will turn on her, if they haven't already.

    Several things bother me about Clinton as a possibility of being VP. Cheney has literally granted himself, as VP, tremendous power and Bush has approved. It stands to reason that the future VP is not going to relinquish this power, especially if it is Clinton. Considering that Clinton will always feel somewhat bitter about being "second" I don't see her working in tandem with Obama as president.. So Obama would be more or less undercut by Clinton for four years and then she would probably run against him 2012.

    Some call it the "dream ticket", I think it is the nightmare ticket.

    Dear John,

    Get a grip! One of the impressive things about Obama as a candidate and of his political organization is how well they have handled these attacks. Especially the Reverend Wright controversy. I only saw him sort of stumble once and that was in the now notorious Pennsylvania debate where Stephahoopalous and Gibson tag teamed him. And even there, though he seemed a bit thrown back on his heels, he did not get testy and overreact. He has a presidential temprament. Which is good because if he is elected he will get a lot more of this. Probably even from you at some point. Let me repeat. What the Clinton's are doing is just a small sample of what the GOP will do. I wish they weren't doing it for public comsumption but garbage bin trolling is what political opponents who are losing seem to do. And it goes waaaay back to the early contests of the late 1800's between Federalists and Republicans. And the stakes are just as high now as they were then. I would rather find out any disqualifying garbage, if there is any, before the convention rather than after. Wouldn't you? Barack Obama needs to do just what he is doing, running a national campaign. Get out there and be himself. :Hilary Clinton will concede soon. If SNL has turned, its over.

    The Clintons figure since they are so corrupt and sleazy then, everyone else must be. That it's impossible for a politician to be as decent as Obama is. They figure no one can go from unknown to democratic nominee in 4 years without some kind of dirt in his closet.
    They just do not understand things like gifted and honorable or that Obama could possibly be a faithful family man. So they are looking and looking.
    All the way back to rifling his kindergarten records. These people are just a trip.

    As for vp. this is why I think Obama should pay her debts off. He pays them off and has leverage over her. She is indebted to him and he can then make her go away.
    The one thing Obama must not do under any circumstance is take Clinton as vp. 4 years of the billary circus would undercut any good he could do as a president and it'd be a nightmare.
    But, I think a man who built so successful an organization and beat the Clinton machine is savvy enough to find a way to rid himself of the Clintons and the democratic party will be free again after 20 years of their death grip.

    Excuse me, Adm, but I am on my fathers wing nut email list. I have already seen all the smears they are going to use on Obama.

    The really interesting thing is that the wing nuts have been sending smear emails about the Clintons for THE PAST 8 YEARS, when it had no relevance whatsoever. Simply for fun! They LOVE smearing the Clintons.

    Now that is pure hate and determination.

    Believe me, the wing nuts would have loved for Hillary to be the nominee, their hopes are dashed.

    If Hillary were in the front seat and Obama needed help paying off his campaign debts, do you really think for one moment Hillary would help him? Don't be naive. And she also would not even consider him for VP. So why should Obama care if Hillary pays off her debt and she certainly doesn't deserve to be VP.

    Maybe, if Hillary had run a good honest campaign, which I think she might have if not for Penn and Bill, I would have no hesitation in helping her out and even considering her for VP. Hillary chose the low road. And it is too late now to change.

    I need to qualify this first. THIS PAST FRIDAY I WAS IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT HAD RUSH LIMBAUGH on the radio. A caller asked him if Clinton would find something damaging on Obama, here's what Rush said. For 14 months hillary clinton shopped The Rev Wright info with the specific video that was shone on the airwaves.


    Rush further said I'm going to share something with the listeners that I'M NOT SUPPOSE TO. Hillary surrogates went to Hannity and Colmes, all the conservative outlets,and all media stations shopping this information she wanted out,but didn't want to be behind it so as not to lose the minority vote .Rush further said,she didn't come to him , and that finally Brian Ross of Abc bit and ran with the story. Rush said Hillary even told bRIANwhat specific video to view.



    I don't like Lmbaugh,however friday he was relentless on Hillary. He felt she squandered what operation chaos was trying to do for her.

    In conclusion to his listeners question rush said if she had something wouldn't it already be out?

    Yes, a report from "knowledgable sources" is a great reason to put up a mysogiistic posting such as this one. Monica Lewinsky has not pursued a public life for the past 10 years.
