AMERICAblog: The CPAC extremism continues with Joe the Plumber who thinks some elected officials should be shot

  • midasbob · 9 months ago
I have no doubt Joe has "slapped some member". Most likely his own.
  • RainbowPhoenix · 9 months ago
We do not need that image.
  • Chris From Maine · 9 months ago
Your republican party.. nuke chicago, shoot people, the President isnt American...

the leaders of the Republican party are a creationist from Alaska, a Governor in Louisiana that believes in exorcism, and a plumber who isnt a plumber who believes that the media shouldnt exist and that people who criticize the military should be shot.
  • KerrynowCampau · 9 months ago
Does Joe not realize if the media didn't exist he would not exist?

Keep talkin' Joe. What a nit wit.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 9 months ago
And its so-called "intellectuals" deny global warming.
  • Milli · 9 months ago
It makes you want to find John McCain and say "THANKS!!!" for unleashing this asshole (and Sarah Palin) on us. Isn't it a tad ironic that they both ended up hating him too?
  • shell · 9 months ago
Poor McCain! At least he has Holy Joe and Dainty Lindsey to cry with.

It was funny at first to see those 3 ALWAYS together. But now, after the election, it really IS creepy. They were even at the State of the Union together. Joined at the hip.

If these freaks want to have a threesome, fine by me, but just ADMIT it, you fakes!
  • KerrynowCampau · 9 months ago
    LOL!

    Sick but funny.....
  • Jim Olson · 9 months ago
Oh, I am going to be sick...
  • shell · 9 months ago
OK, Joe recognizes that he would be in jail for slapping these congresspeople. But when he got to the shooting part, don't any of these brain dead freaks realize that IF the Democrats WERE like he says, he WOULD already be either dead or in a gulag?

Do none of these people think?
  • RitornaVincitor · 9 months ago
    They think they think.
  • Mark in Florida · 9 months ago
They don't think, therefore they are not? ...or something like that.
  • RitornaVincitor · 9 months ago
    Cogito ergo dumb.
  • HereinDC · 9 months ago
    I watched the video clip.

You'd think it was a clip from 2004 with his talking points.

    Sad...just sad.
  • michaelt · 9 months ago
people who hide behind our troops are usually people who never served and are too chickenshit to try.

i talk shit about the military all the time. why? because i was in for three years and know firsthand what a clusterfuck it can be. that doesn't mean i disparage the boots on the ground.

i'm sick of this strawman argument. nobody is anti-solider. nobody wants to see them killed. except maybe the assholes who sent them into harms way in the first place.
  • shell · 9 months ago
You were in the military. I have a question. ARE the vast majority of soldiers Republicans? I have heard that for decades. Or do they have to say they are to please their sergeant? Or is that just an outright lie?
  • paulbot5 · 9 months ago
I would rather slap the voters who keep election these clowns in congress that vote for bills without reading them :P
  • shell · 9 months ago
I find this whine about not having time to read the bill -- just that -- a whine. Yes, the bills are long. But don't each of these senators/congressmen have tons of aides? It's not like the brain dead senator has to sit down and read all 10,000 pages. Might I suggest that they use their aides to READ THE BILLS rather than hob nob with lobbyists.
  • Jim Olson · 9 months ago
Methinks the Secret Service ought to have a little chat with Mr. Wurzelbacher. Threatening harm on a member of Congress is a crime.
  • shell · 9 months ago
The Secret Service never did anything during the campaign. Remember all those McCain and Palin supporters who threatened Obama at that time? Nothing was ever done to them.
  • RainbowPhoenix · 9 months ago
Actually, I heard they did tell McCain to change the tone of his rallies.
  • smallhandff · 9 months ago
Unfortunately gays can't get a hate-crime bill passed & civil rights are called "special rights" but Congress-people get special protections...WTF
  • Mark in Florida · 9 months ago
Yes, that's what I say. Where are they?? This stuff does insite violence....it really does. Their audience has the IQ of ripe tomatoes, it's not a stretch that anyone of these cretins would attempt something.

"Talk about our military in a poor way"?????
What about funding our military in a "poor way"?
    "Treasonous talk about America"???
Mr. Pot is calling his kettle black...

If Obama enjoyed an 83 percent approval rating upon entry a couple of months ago, doesn't that make 'Joe' the anti-American freedom hater?
  • MoonDragon · 9 months ago
Does Joe not realize that our founding fathers were traitors in the eyes of many of their contemporaries, including the Royal Governor of New Jersey (Ben Franklin's son)?

Joe's jealous of anybody who has a real job.

I think even the Wingnuts are getting sick of his act.
  • kittycatastrophe · 9 months ago
The fact that they continue to legitimize this idiot speaks to how out of touch the Republicans are. I think they are deathly afraid to do outreach to the white, blue collar males that used to be at their core. A lot of those guys realized how badly they got used and tossed to the side by the GOP so this con-artist is trotted out to make it look like there hasn't been erosion in that demographic.
  • Mark in Florida · 9 months ago
Yes, they are hopelessly uterly fractured. Their lies cannot survive the inoformation age. The gig is up. The curtain lifted, and there is no wizard. ....well maybe a grand wizard of sorts, but I digress...

  • Ahab77 · 9 months ago
I think the shooting congress was probably a little out of context. I don't think anyone has talked bad about the military there. But the poster who brought up the "Funding the military" quote was right on point. Look this guy is a bonehead, and as a democrat I hope he stays in the spotlight as much as possible. He's pure political gold...for us!
  • Joneses · 9 months ago
    All they talk about is:

    1. Tax cuts for only the rich
    2. It's everybodys fault
    3. They are saints choosen by God
    4. Hatred for anybody who doesn't worship them
    5. Violence is the key to total control
    6. Terror, terror, terror, terror
    7. Only the they can secure the country
    8. GOP first, country last
    9. F_ _ k everyone else because we are the one
    10. Lie, lie, lie, lie because the American people are stupid
    11. Fuss about big government but their concept got us in this mess
    12. Deny, deny, deny, deny
    13. Spout physical harm against anyone who doesn't think like them
    14. Closed minded, truly they don't care about us, period, but pretend
    15. Use God in a really bad way. I GUESS THEY ARE TOO CLOSED MINDED TO UNDERSTAND "GOD LOVES EVEDRYONE"

I should go on and on. But seriously, God does love everyone!

This isn't funny and it pisses me off!

The core of the G.oosesteppin' O.bstructionist P.arty all about violence. This is what happens when you have no ideas and you're afraid of your own shadow but it easily can move from words to deeds. This is the same mindset that has caused so much racial and homophobic terror for hundreds of years. I like to think that that warped mentality dying out but if they are, it's far too slow for me.

The press should be all over the hate and lies at CPAC to show the country what animals those people are.

It's frightening and in my opinion a call to arms to all of us to put down those knuckledraggers HARD.
  • shell · 9 months ago

"NOTE FROM JOHN: Paid your taxes yet, Joe?"

Once, I didn't pay my taxes correctly. I was off by a mere $200. What they do to average people is wait 4 years and THEN charge you over double what you owe -- you know, for "penalties and interest." (In my case, it was $500 I then owed. For a $200 mistake.) I am not surprised they haven't gone after Joe yet. Maybe in 3 years?

In the absence of expensive cars....

Police say a Bank of Ireland employee has stolen millions of euros from his own branch after a gang took his family hostage and threatened to kill them unless he cooperated. So-called "tiger kidnappings" — when gangs seize families of bank officials — are common in Ireland, but usually involve much smaller cash losses. Police say the banker's family was freed uninjured today after he delivered the money. Police have refused to confirm the precise sum stolen. Irish media are putting it at €7 million ($9 million). If confirmed, this would be the second-biggest tiger kidnapping in Ireland.

The only thing that I would say to Joe's face right now is "America, love it or leave it" because it doesn't sound like Joe is doin' too much lovin' of America. Talk is cheap. Joe, what goes around, comes around (sorry for all of the cliches, but they seem to fit).

  • kabiddle · 9 months ago
My goodness, the man is of enlistment age, seems healthy enough, thinks everyone against the war does not recognise the sacrafice of the troops and their families, needs some employment so he can pay his taxes and make a living, and certainly likes the idea of shooting people and bashing heads. Why doesn't he just join the army and put his money where his mouth is? The discipline they could offer him might be a bonus as well -- he might not run off at the mouth about violence quite so much. Might understand the implications of it more. Talk about complainers who won't stand up to their convictions -- he likes this war. They all do. Go for it, Joe.
  • RitornaVincitor · 9 months ago
Joe the Plumber: Burn flag - bad. Disrespect America - bad. Disrespect troops - bad.

Ok, Joe the Plumber. Thank you for those deep insights. Now you need to work on lowering the pitch of your voice. Usually political Neanderthals speak in a deep baritone or bass because it results in a more authoritarian sound that better masks the lameness of what they are saying. Think of Chuck Heston's, "Out of my cold, dead hands." It would have been laughable in a high-pitched voice. Tenor just doesn't work so well for lamebrains, because with a higher pitched voice people actually listen to what you say, rather than just how you say it. And Joe, you've got nothing to say.

  • Older_Wiser · 9 months ago
Not suprising he said that since he slapped around his ex-wife or girlfriend or probably both. I'm sure she'd spill the beans on him if she wasn't afraid he'd come after her. Where's his son? If he's anything like some guys who have custody, their mothers take more care of the kids than they do. This guy is still a baby who takes out his frustrations violently.

The East Room looked beautiful and the President and First Lady looked and sounded smashing as did Stevie and the cover artists...Lots of DC area free-lance technical people, I bet, enjoyed some good work as I doubt PBS has the employed staff to pull off such an event.
Looking at what, I'm sure, is the first of many glittering celebrations of American arts, it felt as if some evil wizard has had the White House under some horrible, gloomy spell for the last 8 years.

Of course we all know talking bad bout the troops means talking bad about the Iraq war. These idiots just love to conflate the two things. Talking bad about the troops means that you may have said that there were no WMD's In Iraq, the war was misguided, a lie, a war of choice, etc. etc. No. Can't talk about the war because some retard fake plumber will accuse you of badmouthing the troops.

Really, his material is soooooo 2004.

As a long-haired hippie-war-portester back in 1968, I stood up and shouted "Get a haircut..." to Henry Cabot Lodge was was speaking at Dinkelspiel Auditorium at Stanford University. My comment was very well received by the audience of war-protesters. Now I say to Joe the Idiot, "Get a haircut."

O/T: the US should totally withdrawal all its troops, support staff, Halliburton shower-builders and Blackwater killers from the Republic of Iraq. End the US brutal imperial military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. We are torturing and terrorizing the 60,000,000 residents of Afghanistan and Iraq with our illegal military presence.

You guys should really be more careful... You're sitting here talking about making Joe go away by ignoring him... Do you REALLY think that will work??? Joe is not the problem, boys and girls... His ideology is, and the unfortunate truth is, there is a large number of Americans who think the way he does. To ignore him and his BS is akin to ignoring cancer. He will not go away. It will not go away. It will destroy our nation if we allow it.

Throughout the bush years, no one did anything to stop him as he worked to tear our nation and the world apart. Apathy reigned supreme in America. Under Obama, we can change that... Unfortunately, the only ones really getting off their butts and trying to do anything, are the ultra conservative "Joes".
