...And a loosely packed cafeteria of seniors gives up a smattering of listless applause...
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
I think the only surprising thing about the releases of his speech is that he only says "my friends" once

  • LeeBurl · 1 year ago
Oh Lord! This man is boring. Look at that crowd!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Wow!

That's a weak crowd McCrazy has in front of him.

Sounds like about 50 people trying to sound like a thousand.
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
and what a creepy forced smile that has to be scripted
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Definitely.

    He gives a line.

    Then turns and smiles.

    Then gives another line.

    And turns and smiles.

McCain is doomed. But better for us than his inevitable crash this November, is that he will be good sport to toy with. To Fark with. To mess with, for the next 5 months.

LOTS of stuff makes McCain angry. And Obama knows it.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Somebody should tell him to quit calling it "New Or-leee-ans."
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    He laughs like Elmer Fudd...

Did McBush really just say that we need to give bottled hot water to dehydrated babies??? WTF???
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
McCain is just plain CREEPY......Ooh- Ooh, Ooh- Ooh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh.!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    You know what?

    He's running a Lieberman campaign.

    "I'm not George Bush."

Mark my words. Lieberman has his hands in this.
  • bumpkis · 1 year ago
Major campaigner for him...came out publicly for him the same day the bank note was signed, December 17th.
  • KatherineHepburnEyes · 1 year ago
If Hillary was his opponent, he would be saying that he's looking forward to the race and talkiing about the issues. They both voted for the war and are just alike. John McCain would not have to explain himself like he will with Barack Obama.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
OMG.....what an old boring McFart he is...
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    The strange in chatagy???
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
You just know he's on some kind of psychotropic medication tonite...
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Ha, Ha, Ha.

    Oh, that was funny.

The old folks started chanting "John McCain," then stopped on cue.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
He looks like one of those kooks on Local Access.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Did he just imply abolishing FEMA? Impling it would never work? - I think some of the applause was confused.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
"The private sector can rescue people just as well, and turn a tidy profit !"
  • c1 · 1 year ago
Boy he sucks. He was damn smart to start speaking well before Obama, that's for sure. Old coot looks like he's starting to sweat too. I can't stop looking at his neck, dammit - UGH

LOL @ 'I hate war' ........... Sheeyah right
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
"Dear friends" really creeps me out.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
He seems to think all those poor little dehyrated Katrina babies were some other government's and some other party's problem... Yeah, show me that picture of the birthday cake again, so I can remember just where he was at the time, and who was celebrating with him.
  • dciii · 1 year ago
The general election is gonna be a landslide. If that is a healthy old man I dont know if I want to get old.

    He has Old Man Teeth.
  • c1 · 1 year ago
The teeth, yes - I was noticing that too. But at least now his nasty old man neck won't be lonely now.

MSNBC just interrupted Grampy McSame to announce OBAMA has officially TAKEN IT!
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
This is such a crappy speech, theres so many pauses with silence where he thinks he's going to get laughter or applause
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
The only Katrina victims at McCain's speech was the hired band. How quaint.

  • tas · 1 year ago
Holy crap, he really sucks! His audience sounds like a high school full of kids forced to come under threat of suspension. Obama will fill that convention center tonight and McSame can't even get a laugh. What has he got there? 40 people? Oh, and we will de-regulate insurance to make it more affordable, kinda like Enron and energy.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
They've kept the camera off the audience for the most part, but you should see them.

It's quite a group of people they dragged in off the street.
  • c1 · 1 year ago
The echo in there was insane!! And what a sea of grey in there, wow! I can't help but wonder how many of them will even make it to November.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago

  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
funny, he says that Obama is going to try and drum into peoples heads by repeatedly saying McCain will be Bush's third term, yet how many times has he said "That's not change you can believe in." ::forced grin::
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Look at all the white people--but at least Jindal was there to provide a little local color. Jindal, a man who has much less experience than Obama, but at least can serve as his one "black friend" (pace Colbert).
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I think he just said people aren't going to get their jobs back.

(But we'll have more wars! Many, many more wars!_
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    Hah! Johnny gets the hook!!!
  • tas · 1 year ago
I would say they need to cut back to the election coverage but we have to see how bad this asshole sucks. Or how bad he sucks ass. What the hell are they chanting in the background? Four more years? Oh well, looks like they had to break away.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
    It's official according to MSNBC!

    Obama is the nominee! YIPPEE!!!!

    Ah shit.

Hillary's leading the S.D. exit polls.
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Oh THANK GOD. MSNBC cut in on McCain, announcing the nominee, the next president. McCain = pwned
  • Bluestocking · 1 year ago
Am I the only person who heard (or more accurately, read) faint yet repeated echoes of "I'm a uniter, not a divider" in McCain's speech? Yeah, we've heard *that* before -- and seen only too clearly what a load of Grade-A, 100% bovine excrement it turned out to be.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
I think he said, "I'm a coagulator not a bleeder..."

  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Damn--MSNBC just cut away from Grampy! But, the upside is Olbermann announced Obama IS the "presumptive" nominee (for Hillary, he's the "presumptuous nominee").

I can't believe NBC cut-away before the scheduled bunny hop...
  • Bluestocking · 1 year ago
Oh, and I can't believe this little gem..."So he tries to drum it into your minds by constantly repeating it rather than debate honestly the very different directions he and I would take the country."

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." (George W. Bush -- May 24, 2005)

    I suppose -- as always -- IOKIYAR.
  • tas · 1 year ago
Just went to Fox and they were at the convention center in Minneapolis. It is full. Thousands, even filling the upper decks. Compare that to McSame's venue in NO. What, 100 people?
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
    What a pant load.
If McSame didn't want to be compared to Bush?
Here are a few things he did wrong:
    1. Hug Bush, constantly.
    2. Vote with Bush 100% of the time.
    3. Kiss Bush, often.
    4. Campaign with Bush.
    5. Cheerlead Bush's war.
    6. Use his own tongue for Bush's toilet paper.
    7. Have birthday cake with Bush while New Orleans drowned.
    8. Agree with Bush on everything.

Sorry, McSame McBush McGrumpy, you made the bed, now you can lie in it with your dogs.

I can't help but wonder what moron thought having McCain do a speech that cn be easily measured against the speech Barack was to give was a good idea? Aside from being a Bush clone, he can barely read. I was especially amused when he'd smile triumphantly after completing a sentence. He reminded me of that Junior Miss pageant contestant that mauled her answer on why she thinks US kids don't know where certain countries are. I cannot wait until Grampy McBush has to stand side by side with Barack. It will be a Kodak moment, fo sure! LOL
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Obama is getting ready to make his right turn to the center. Remember, you heard it first from the Busboy....
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
And McCain keeps forgetting to make his left turn to the center. Still under Hagee's power? McCrazy can't win with only wingnutters. Also McCain is just terrible tonight. McCain is the option of morons--only!

  • Busboy · 1 year ago
McCain's support by "wingnuts" is thin to nonexistent. His only hope is to carve out Hillary voters.
