here we go! I have my "lucky" Obama T-Shirt on. Let's do this thing.
  • phaet2112 · 1 year ago
McCain should wipe that vaseline out of his eyes.
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
McCain's face looks like a chipmunk. Sorry to be juvenile. But it does.
  • mermaidart · 1 year ago
    WALNUTS!
  • mermaidart · 1 year ago
p.s. I like your picture - where was it taken?
  • cyninbend · 1 year ago
It's the crazy plastic surgery McC and his wife are addicted to--he is 72! and made them cut out every wrinkle! And stick those implants in where they could not cut off any more skin... I cannot find the real old man under all that stuff...it is scary.
  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
    "Fannie and Freddie Mae"?
  • cosmo · 1 year ago
    Fannie and Freddie my ass
  • mermaidart · 1 year ago
McCain - no flag pin again! He must be a terrist.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Nancy Reagan hated McCain for ditching Carol and shtupping Cindy! Always a mawkish opener from this old coot.
  • annatopia · 1 year ago
what is wrong with mccain's eyes?
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
    Threy are dead and soulless.
  • DonQ · 1 year ago
    Who's Freddie Mae?
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
Good- Obama is looking right at the camera, talking right to the viewer.
  • cosmo · 1 year ago
McCain took his Ritalin today to keep his eyes open... too bad it makes him blink like a blithering idot.
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Obama said middle class. Check. Oh he did it again!
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
Will McCain look at Obama? (no tv here)
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
it's not the foreclosures reich-wingers, it's your deregulation and 60 trillion swaps bubble. a-holes.
I think tonight mccain isn't playing to win, just to recoup some of his cred to himself, I predict he will do well for that reason.maybe.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
"They're angry... they're angry... and they're angry." Odd for McCain to repeat that so many times.

I like that Obama is speaking about economy right into the camera. I don't want him to do a Palin all night, but to talk about this key issue, it feels like he's connecting with the folks at home early.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I have never seen McSame look more doped up or creepy than right now. That grin, the blinking, the stiff look, what is he on??
  • Domo · 1 year ago
Obama is smart, eloquent and speaks without sounding like he's got a mouthful of oatmeal.
  • phaet2112 · 1 year ago
    Wurtzleburger!
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
on the market: buy index put options.. maybe..
  • Chris From Maine · 1 year ago
would you like to ask Obama a question? McCain : NO!

    microcosm.
  • annatopia · 1 year ago
    not "that one", never!
  • cosmo · 1 year ago
Oh geez...the plumber story. McCain is soooooo mean...lol
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Look at McCain looking at Obama condescendingly. What a buffoon. He is totally unlikeable.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Joe the Plumber! The most important redneck in the nation! (Joe would never, ever vote for Obama--he just wanted to get in Obama's face).
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Think Joe was a plant??? I smell Rove.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
McCain looks like he is on speed. Did they tape his eyes open or what?
  • phaet2112 · 1 year ago
Blinking way way too much, maybe that's why he doesn't look at the camera. Kinda rambling a bit.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
mcsame is lying right off the bat... oh boy...
  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
I'm getting Bob Dole flashbacks, when McCain waves that left hand with the pen in it.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
*Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink* *Blink*

Holy crap -- it's uncomfortable to watch McCain.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
McCain is so on something to calm his nerves.
  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
The debate has just begun and Mc can't string words together well enough to hold my interest and he's not making any sense.
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
Based on the comments I'm seeing about the candidates' blinking, ties, etc., I think it's best just to listen to the audio... that's what I'm doing, and the debate seems more substantive. Though I am pretty tired.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Is Joe the Plumber the same Joe from Joe Six Pack??
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Obama was ready for this Joe the Plumber question.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Joe the Plumber has been on Fox News all day.
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
I'm getting a little sick of Joe the plumber already
  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
I'm with you on that. If Joe the Plumber makes over $250K a year he can afford to pay a little more tax. I am self employed and make way under that and Obama's tax plan calculator will save me $1000 per year on taxes. McCain's plans, tax and health, will sink me.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
McCin is getting wound up - I give him 10 minutes before he blows.
  • Donna_MC · 1 year ago
He is an angry angry man

I am going to sue McCain for copyright infringement on the name Joe. McCain just lost it.
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
McCain is being rude and inturrupty tonight
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
Obama needs to look at McCain more as angry McCain is attacking him every way possible. He has to look him in the eyes and stick it to him.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I think McSame might lose it before this is over, he's freakin crazy tonight...he's blithering, he's having a hard time speaking in coherent sentences...
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
"You wanna spread the wealth around and create class warfare!: A talking point this morning on Fox and Friends, 15 hours later a botched rendition out of McCain's mouth.
  • DonQ · 1 year ago
We're talking about Joe the Plumber -- heh heh heh heh heh
    McCain is creepy
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
This is McCain's "ass kicking"? More like sarcastic asshole.
  • mermaidart · 1 year ago
    BLINK, BLINK, BLINK, BLINK, BLINK.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
How is the CNN meter reacting to McCain interrupting Obama?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
    not well
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
McCain forgot that Obama shot down his comment on high bus. taxes in the US in the last debatge.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
    kill joe the plumber!

    lol..
  • cosmo · 1 year ago
McCain is wound up tighter than a drum.
  • RealityChex · 1 year ago
Last word from McCain "Let's not spread the wealth around"
  • topscoop · 1 year ago
it sound like mccain is snoring while Obama is talking
  • Mark217 · 1 year ago
I hate McCain's sneer. McCain should get a job as a spokesman for the Chamber of Commerce or as a lobbyist for big businesses. I wonder if McCain will lose his psychotic temper tonight. Looks like he is close to it.. McCain hates our troops. He is NOT wearing a flag pin.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
He is a spokesman for the Chamber of Commerce and a lobbyist for big business.
Also, not a great move to mention "what we had during the depression".
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
McCain's "smile" is so phony it is frightening.
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
Did Obama just say "Health Scare System"???

Things you notice -- or think you notice -- when you go audio only.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
Does McCain have eyedrops in his pupils? Or did someone on his campaign tell him to look like he's about to cry? I suppose, they reasoned...it worked for Hillary..
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Why the hell does McCain ALWAYS take notes, can't he remember his talking points
  • topscoop · 1 year ago

  • DreamOn · 1 year ago
I think anyone named "Joe the Plumber" will see a major uptick in his business tomorrow.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
That 'spending freeze' idea is the biggest joke ever. You can only do something like that in Fantasyland.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
"millions of jobs....MILLIONS of jobs....in America". . .so, Sen. McCain, why didn't you create those jobs over your tenure in Washington? Why didn't your party create all of these jobs?
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
McCain VERY shaky on whatever that agency was in the Depression that "bought up" homes. And the reference to Hillary will be lost on everybody...
  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
Mc doesn't seem to be able to answer the question - his voice is trembling with anger just regurgitating his talking points again. Oh my, this is gonna be a long long debate...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
mcCain's a bitch. sorry. he just is.
  • henrythefifth · 1 year ago
I wonder if McCain will save any Ayers comment until his closing, then pull the Brave Sir Robin and Run Away!
  • TampaZeke · 1 year ago
Notice, ONCE AGAIN, which one is wearing an American flag lapel pin and which one isn't.

"THAT ONE" is wearing one. The OTHER one isn't!

Obama looks tired. Poor thang. And McCain looks like he's OD'd on Red Bull. Po' overreactive eyelids.
  • Savage8862 · 1 year ago
Why doesn't McCain finish a thought? He can't finish one sentence before he goes off on another tangent. Freddie and Fannie Mae? McCain couldn't even get those company's names right. Is something wrong with him?
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
GODDAMMIT! The Planetarium again? Pork barrel??? Yeah, God forbid we invest in education and getting people excited about science.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Men are NOT liking Obama on CNN meter
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
Surely they are not liking McCain. . .the guy sounds almost incoherent. . .
  • Mark217 · 1 year ago
I am all for spreading the wealth around to all Americans. Is that a moral evil? Do you think John McCain can get me a date with Joe the Plumber? There is something hot about a guy wearing a tool belt. And maybe Gramps McCain can tell us all another bedtime story about the Great Depression.
  • phaet2112 · 1 year ago
McCain's just really, really jumpy tonight like a ferret.
  • akonuche · 1 year ago
"If you want to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago." Ouch.

And the crowd didn't like that too much.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
"I'm not President Bush. . ." . . .LOLOLOL. No, Senator McCain...you just campaigned for Bush, ate cake with him while New Orleans drowned, and voted 90 percent of the time with President Bush.
  • DonQ · 1 year ago
Oooooo -- I am not President Bush.
    Nice try.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago

  • johnnguyen · 1 year ago
Good news though, McCain is wearing a tie that doesn't make my eyeballs go into atrophy
  • Milli · 1 year ago
McCain isn't convinced that Obama can stand up against his own party? He freaking clawed his way to the top of the party and dethroned the Clintons!
  • akonuche · 1 year ago
Oh hell naw! Did he just gave him an opening to bring up Ayers??

Oh I know he is not still talking about the townhall meetings. WTF? LMAO!
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
Bullshit question - equating what McCain did to Obama with the Obama approach.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
    Sad, sad, sad, old man.
  • lovepeaceandallthat · 1 year ago
I am listening on the radio.

I loved it when McCain said Obama's plan is "class warfare" and - gasp! -- spreading the wealth. Bring it on!!!

---- McCain just said he "knows how to save billions" (in regard to the deficit) and that we have too much "government spending" --- and save money in the defense budget. All I could think about is "THE WAR!!!" Jesus, the government spending... why does the war not get mentioned!!!???
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
    The tragedy of Dallas???!!!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
    townhall meetings.....*yawn*

    Is he going to cry?
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
Is McCain about to muster up a fake Hillary-like tear?
  • cyninbend · 1 year ago
Equating the rhetoric of both campaigns? This is a fraud of a debate and Obama walked into an ambush.
  • Domo · 1 year ago
What the hell did Lewis say that was so inappropriate?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
From what I am seeing the CNN audience is either bored or could care less what each candidate is saying. I have only seen lines go high for McCain and that was coming from the men side.
  • topscoop · 1 year ago
lying through his fat cheek. seriously he needs to see a doctor. he can barely talk
  • grandma · 1 year ago
McCain's still not saying it to his face....he's not even looking at Obama
  • GoBlue1319 · 1 year ago
Maybe if McCain cared so much about Civil Rights he should've voted for MLK Day...
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
LEWIS? that was so hurtful ...

McCain says he has repudiated every bad remark?????

    Does he want to cry.

He wants to run a "truthful" ad ... now he is blaming Obama that he is running the most negative.

    McCain = bush

    black=white, up=down, blah, blah, blah
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
OMG...he's a pathological liar. How can he run an honest campaign when he doesn't even have an honest supporter and is running as the candidate for a dishonest political party?
  • dgray32 · 1 year ago
No John, Lewis was referring to your campaign's fanning the flame of inciting fear and hate - not segregagation...
  • akonuche · 1 year ago
Wow....he's just bringing up everything. He is making his way towards Ayers.
  • cosmo · 1 year ago

  • Mark217 · 1 year ago
I know John Lewis. I agree with John Lewis.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
Yes! Obama is pivoting off of the negative stuff to go back to the economy and essentially saying that this stuff is a waste of time (and that McCain has a thin skin).
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
Obama is bringing it back to the ECONOMY.

    ZAS!

Obama would love to discuss the next 3 years talking about the economy, healthcare, energy ...
  • DreamOn · 1 year ago
That would have been a good opportunity for Obama to hoist McCain for using that kindergarten sex ed ad. Oh well.
  • GMinDE · 1 year ago

  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago

  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
Obama knows that anytime the attacks come, bring it back around to the economy.
The only thing that truly matters.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
McCain doesn't know the difference between television ads about a campaign ISSUE and negative ads about character. This man is clueless.
  • Rev_Sacrilege · 1 year ago
Spot on, Obama. I don't care if McCain cries over Lewis's VERY ACCURATE assessment. Give me serious views on the issues.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
Ok, I put on CNN now and something is up with the MEN on the charts. Obama says something that doesn't even merit a feeling either way, the men don't like it. It's bizzare. I think the men with those devices are already leaning McCain or against Obama.
  • dandeelyon · 1 year ago

"Attack ads on ME"? NO! Attack ads on your policies and plans! McC is soo out of touch he does not comprehend the difference between attacking a policy plan and yelling "kill him" or calling him a terrorist.
  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
GOOD POINT! Obama needs to make it. Attacking McCain's policies is not the same as encouraging people to attack McCain. And how about McCain's Saddam campaign man and how about GOP suppression of the vote? Come on, Obama, talk back!

McCain is really having a poor time, hesitant and trembling speaking voice, rambling in a disjointed way. He looks like he is wearing a loaded diaper and is very uncomfortable. To most impoverished voters McCain's use of words like "Ayers" and "ACORN" don't mean anything. Obama's words about fair taxation, health care, affordable college, and jobs connect with people. McCain's endorsement of Palin is tragically laughable (and "her husband is a pretty tough guy, too"). Obama's recitation of Biden's qualifications was factual and eloquent. McCain's sneer is really a buzz kill, total turn-off. We don't need this hateful old grump in D.C.

Well, maybe a few men in CNN studios with those hand dials. I am a man and a veteran and I loathe John McCain. I don't think those studio reaction things are all that significant or statistically sound. They are entertaining, but that's about it. McCain rambles on and on like a homeless psychotic babbling on the subway. I can't follow him and make sense of his disconnected speech. There goes that famous McCain sneer of contempt. This man is indeed proud of people who threaten Obama's life at GOP rallies.

  • justanothervet · 1 year ago
Ok, here is how snark works: you make an insane comment that is making fun of an insane idea. Point, in 2004 Karl Rove made illegal aliens, mainly Mexicans, the red herring of the campaign to knock everything else out of the conversation. One of the big joke lines of the time concerning immigrants on the right was "They took my job!" Fast forward to 2008, we have ACORN being used as a red herring supposedly stealing our democracy so that McCain can change the subject away from the economy, and everything else.

  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
I understand completely your reality. My husband is 44 and has COPD - uninsurable. I am 54 and have pre-existing conditions - uninsurable. Even if we could be insured, we could not afford it. We make too much money (less than $27,000) for Medicaid. My 13 year old is only insured because she is on CHIP. Both my husband and I believe that, if Obama is not elected and the obstructionist Republicans are not thrown out of Congress, neither of us will live to see our daughter go to college, marry or have children. By the way you should check with your state's CHIP program, mine has a lot of pregnancy coverage for unborn babe and mom. Hang in there and I wish and hope the best for you.
  • dandeelyon · 1 year ago
I truly that Obama wins so that you and your husband can be covered. I was
shocked when I started looking around for insurance and hitting the same
wall..."pregnancy is a pre-existing condition..." Even if I could pay all
the money in the world...insurance companies will not extend a policy. Of
course we are "middle class..." and many of the state programs won't cover
me...basically we are a c-section away from banckruptcy.

I can't begin to imagin the conversation that you must have with insurance
companies. Know that I feel absolute compassion for you and your husband.
Let's do all we can do rally our communities for an Obama
presidency...that's the best hope we have...please be well...much love and
support...and enjoy your daughter...the teen years are the best years!
  • mckathiki · 1 year ago
Sorry for the delay in response. I very much appreciate your compassion and
concern and hope and pray that everything works out well fro you and your
family. Not only must we work for Obama to win (my husband and I went to
vote today, the first day of early voting here in Texas) but we must also
see to it that he has a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in Congress.
That is the only hope we have. Take care.

what exactly is strict constitutionalism? Legislating from the bench? It's difficult to deny there are gaps in the law. In these (hard) cases, do judges find or discover the law?
  • DonQ · 1 year ago
Tough question. How much protection for privacy is there in the Constitution? In the actual words, not much. In the "penumbra" around the Bill of Rights, perhaps a lot. I think strict constructionalism is a rationalization to allow government intrusion into peoples' lives.

Abortion rates go up every time antibortion people are in the white house! Why? Because they screw the economy and women have abortions because they are afraid they cannot afford a child, or insurance. Abortions go down in number every time Dems are in office because women are lss afraid of losing that safety net. Facts.

Did anyone catch McCain's comment about the Gulf War? He was talking about Biden didn't vote for that war and how that was a difference between him and Biden. But in explaining it he said (paraphrasing) that "we needed to go to war because if we didn't the flow of oil would have been restricted".

I was like "What??? You just admitted that war was about the flow of oil (and money....)??? Uh, the protesters back then were the ones saying "no blood for oil" and people would look at us like we were crazy. We were fed huge propaganda about Saddam Hussein being the source of all evil in the world... a crazy man out of control... someone to fear.

Yes, the beginning of the war was supposedly because Kuwait invaded Iraq and tried to drill oil but there is no way in hell they would have gotten US citizens accepting a war over something like that. Therefore, the whole Saddam is a threat to the entire world crap. And now McCain admits it was all about oil? Am I missing something?

I have to tell you, Obama is finishing off McCain right now. His agreement with McCain in some of these late issues makes McCain look twice as angry and disagreeable. Obama is showing in these debates how he might work with both parties by agreeing with some aspects of his opponent's stances. McCain attacked Obama on every single stance for 3 full debates. Not a single time during these debates did he ever find common ground with Obama. Not once!

Holy f*ck*, McCain ended this debate with the creepiest last comment ever. Holy christ that was freightening!

Yes, absolutely don't succumb to complacency. Go to your nearest Obama campaign office and volunteer. If you can't free up any money for a donation to the campaign, there is sure to be something you can do to help out otherwise. Besides, it's a great deal of fun to work with people who are excited and forward-looking and inspired.

Who can ever imagine that this maniac, this frightening and angry and vengeful man will somehow find his way into the head of the Executive Branch? Oh my God. Look at his facial expressions. Listen to his vocal cadence. Listen to his vocal inflections. That's the window to this man's personality and temperment. Jeez. McCain is far too strident, far too much of a hair-trigger reaction to normal, average disagreements. He hasn't any ability to moderate his reactions and therefore, his stress. He's a hair trigger away from exploding.

McCain actually did well in the very beginning. The on-the-attack tactic worked in the very beginning. However, it got old because it never stopped for 90-minutes. People don't want to see 90-minutes of attacks by one candidate. They want to hear how you are going to help them.

Obama talked to the American people for 90-minutes. He did everything he needed to by the end. I think he was especially good in explaining some key points/issues during the debate. McCain was really horrible by the end because the attacks were redundant and annoying. Obama's calm and cool manner was a big plus and these jokers on TV won't all see it because they are looking at fireworks.

The TV bunch seem to watch debates as if they are football games. They grade these guys on things that aren't important. They love the many things that the average person don't care about. They love that McCain was on the attack for 90-minutes and while it made for great theater, but they fail to see it from the eyes of the average person and see why it does nothing for the person at home.

The people at home don't care so much about the theater -- ESPECIALLY the 5% to 10% of voters that these debates are aimed at. This group of people just want to know how you will makes their lives better and not why the other guy is a dirty dog. But the TV talkers LOVE that dirty dog stuff and give candidates points for such attacks. It's an obvious disconnect that the TV people have with regular Americans.

My husband, a NYC prosecutor, and I have had a 90-minute long argument about this debate. Hubby thinks Obama should've hung McCain out to dry. Granted, there were many opportunities to do so, and even I gritted my teeth over a number of McCain's comments. However, polls have shown that we as a whole dislike negative campaigning. Hence the disagreement. I thought that Obama held his own tonight (even though in my heart of hearts, I was hoping he'd finish McOld off for good). That's all Obama needed to do. McCain, when forced by logistics, to look at his opponent and speak to him directly, showed the same condescension, dismissiveness and inherent dislike that he's always shown. Split screen and dials on CNN told the story. While this was more of a draw than previous debates, the body language story will tell a different tale in the polls. McCain continues to be rude (whatever happened to letting your opponent finish a thought without interrupting?), condescending and dismissive. One could hardly dismiss the weird snorts and McCain's general agitation. Obama was no drama as usual. At best, a tie. But in my opinion, even though it wasn't Obama's best performance, it didn't need to be. Obama remained calm, presidential and accessible. McCain seems agitated, pandering, irritated and not a little bit of a liar. Same McCain. Same Obama. If it's even a tie, Obama gets it. Thanks for listening!

Checking out the female point of view (and I am one), the CNN dials suggest that undecided women voters are not enamored of McCain. The women in my office HATE Sarah Palin. My 78-year-old mother, who just this past August declined to discuss Obama because "I don't like him, and he's bad for the country," is now trying to flip my last undecided elderly aunt into voting for Obama (it's the healthcare, stupid!). Sarah Palin is anathema to most women, well, anyone other than fundie women. Which means most of us. Even my mother. -- "THAT WOMAN cannot be president." Go figure. Her dramatic turnaround is like being dropped into an alternate universe Mom is even trying to flip the low-info undecided voters in her office because she can't understand how anyone could not have made up their minds already.! Pinch me. I must be dreaming. But if mom is a representative of the electorate this year, McCain is screwed.
  • Mum48 · 1 year ago
    Jacki,

You are so right, but my guess is that most people, even those whose health insurance is wholly or partially "paid for" by their employer, will be able to see that what McCain is proposing is preposterous. My 25-year old daughter, who works in the theater, pays nearly $4,800 a year for a good, but not great, plan through a freelancing union. And, having helped her do research on insurance over the past three years while we were policy-hunting, I know that a family of four would be lucky to find any insurance that would cost them less than $12,000-15,000 a year.

Omg, Cockamamie had to be the most age telling word he used all night. Dang, my grandpa, had he lived he would be 98 now, used that word!!

That and when he said "during the Great Depression WE blah blah blah" I had to think for a moment if he was really there or not.
  • topscoop · 1 year ago
I have re-watched and the second time around I feel even stronger about Obama's performance. He school'd McCain over and over again in his cool Obama style. He is polite, steady, intelligent, educated and strong. Exactly what I want in my President.
  • shell · 1 year ago
    9:47PM from John: Cockamamie

Doesn't Cockamamie remind you of "In the Line of Fire", the Clint Eastwood movie? In the movie, he used the term, and the younger woman he was trying to get made fun of his using it, like it was an old-fashioned word. Which it is.

McCain only wishes he were as "young" as Clint Eastwood.
  • debinTexas · 1 year ago
I absolutely, totally, want the insurance policy McCain is peddling! Hubby retires in a couple of years, at age 67. I'll be 60 then, so I'll have 5 years before I'll be eligible for Medicare. I'd love to pay $5800 for an interim health policy, even as an individual. I have pre-existing conditions, though (doesn't everyone?), so even at that generous price I won't be able to get it.

And what WAS McCain's thing on autism? I agree, it's something that needs attention, but so do a zillion other diseases, disorders, and birth defects. Certainly Palin has nothing to do with it.
  • LeftCoastOracle · 1 year ago
I believe Sarah Palin's sister has a child with autism. My granddaughter also has autism so I'm particularly interested in the subject. Still, there is no way I would vote for McCain.
  • debinTexas · 1 year ago
Hey, did anyone ever catch the Rush Limbaugh program from a few weeks ago (shortly after the Wicked Witch of the North joined the ticket)? He predicted that there would be a landslide victory for McCain. Wonder what his thoughts are now?
  • LeftCoastOracle · 1 year ago
Joe, I believe that Sarah Palin's sister has a child with autism. That might explain McCain's repeated reference to it.
