AMERICAblog: The McCain campaign finance scams continue unabated and unchallenged by the press

  • Vince in Cedar Rapids · 1 year ago
The press wants a republican administration. One can only accept that it could be "sloppy reporting" or "lazy" for so long, considering the blogs do all the research, and the reporters who cared to cover the stories would only have to cross the t's and dot the i's. The 4th Estate is no longer functional.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
I agree. It's been pretty obvious from the primaries that the media has been trying desperately to elect McSame. Perhaps there are too many talking heads with their spray-painted hair who would be out of a job if the profession returned to an ethical level of competence.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Joe, my question is this: Why don't WE continue to drill the press on these revelations? What can we do....actually do....to make the press to their jobs? What will it take?
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
Blackwolf - you're confusing "the Press" (something that no longer exists) with fascist corporate news as a private business - reporters are long gone, we are left only with overpaid whores.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
You're right! What in the world was I thinking?
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
There is no way the MSM corporate straight white daddies are gonna let this uppity Negro anywhere near the WH. This is government propaganda at its finest because they people have been snowed beautifully. Our only hope is that progressive bloggers actually get off their asses and go to the polls come November.

I just heard a farmer say the other day that he wouldn't ever vote for a muslim and Obama is a muslim. I truly believe people who say this are substituting muslim for black. They are afraid of being labeled racist so instead of saying "I wouldn't vote for a black man" they say "I wouldn't vote for a muslim." Stupid people.
  • JustAnOldLady · 1 year ago
I too know some people who, in spite of information to the contrary, continue to spew the 'muslim' excuse........ I, also have come to the conclusion that it's a handy excuse so they aren't labeled 'racist'.....I find it very disillusioning and disturbing......
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
'They are afraid of being labeled racist so instead of saying "I wouldn't vote for a black man" they say "I wouldn't vote for a muslim." Stupid people.'

i had the same thought. Hating a muslim is fairly acceptable...you know because everything changed after 9/11
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Well they can wallow in their stupid stupors with another four years of a
John McSame. Fine with me. We are filing papers with Canada this week. To
emigrate for good. My mother was Canadian and it will help me get
citizenship. We are outta here if McSame wins this. I've had enough.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
You know, I would migrate as well if I had relatives in another country. I think a lot of us have had enough of this BS that this country is openly revealing itself to be.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
LOLLLLLLLL....He is uppity! I have it on good faith. I know what black folks are thinkin' when they pause before they speak....chuckle. That pensive look the OB-man has when he's about to say something is pure "elitism".

The white daddies know that all these so-called Hillary supporters would rather vote for a wrinkled-ass white cat like McCain over the OB-man any day. Man, it amazes me!
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
So McCain continues to blatantly thumb his nose at the FEC, this apparently will be his MO if he makes it to the White House. He would continue on with the law breaking precedent of the Bush administration and absolutely nothing would be done about it. Same old, same old. But for one time only I agree with Pat Buchanan, McCain will make Cheney look like Ghandi. We can only imagine the horrible aftermath of a McCain administration. War, war, war and more wars. McCain hates the USA and can hardly contain himself until he can reek his revenge for sending him to "prisoner of war camp" in Viet Nam. His presidency would truly be hell on earth for the citizens of the USA. But the msm are madly determined to get McCain to the White House. Maybe if they buy him enough donuts his arteries will clog and
take him out of his misery. He is in misery, you can see it in everyone's faces. So let's all help put him out of his misery, send more donuts!
  • Milli · 1 year ago
What most disturbs me about these corruption scandals is that they fail to become seen as scandals at all! Unless sex is somehow involved, no one cares if they break the law and no one cares if they suffer any consequences as a result. Karl Rove blatantly refuses to testify on Congress and gets away with it, etc. etc. etc.

I'm beginning to think the problem isn't them, the problem is us. As a nation we have lost our ability to hold anyone accountable for their actions. Do we not care or do we not know how anymore?

Perhaps if McCain was seen breaking campaign finance law while giving oral sex to a guy in an airport bathroom - something would be done about it.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
The problem "is" us. And you're right. It doesn't make the headlines if sex isn't a part of it. And then, it won't stick if you're a Republican. Milli: What's wrong with America, is what's wrong with 'white" America in large. No one can argue the shortcomings of black folks or any other sub-culture group. It's the ease of American's to allow the likes of a John McCain or a George Bush to hold the highest office in the land that has ruined the "potential" of what this country could be.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
What does holding these republicans accountable for their crimes have to do with arguing the shortcomings of black folks or any other sub-culture group? You lost me.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
You missed the point Silly Millie: It's what white America is allowed to get away with that if fuc*ing this country up. Got it? It's the shortcomings of culture gone wild. Don't look at this as a racist statement--it's simply the truth.

Meanwhile, Lou Pearlman now has to pay back $300 million to individuals and banks he defrauded. Once he begins payments, the judge said he would revisit the decision to determine whether Lou should also pay interest on the principal $300 million he owes. In case you forgot, Lou Pearlman was the promoter of 'NSync and The Backstreet Boys. Funny thing is, Justin Timberlake and NIck Carter and the rest of the bois have not stepped forward to help out poor old Lou. McCain, take notice: personal loyalty is not a strong point in the sycophant pool of a fraudulent schemer.

The irony is that the word that the Obama campaign THOUGHT would be the key to get him elected has turned into an eerie foreboding of what is appearing to be the downward spiral in his campaign. And that word is: CHANGE!

What has been the CHANGE? Well, the simple answer is that he is changing his opinion on just about EVERYTHING since he became the apparent Dem candidate. Try these:

SPECIAL INTERESTS; THE CUBA EMBARGO; ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION; DECRIMINALIZATION OF MARAJUANA; NAFTA; THE DEATH PENALTY; HANDGUN BAN; PROPOSED FISA LAW IMMUNITY FOR TELECOMS; PUBLIC FINANCING FOR OBAMA'S GENERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN; THE WAR IN IRAQ.

His far left liberal kook backers are quickly rethinking their opinion on who they want to run. Check on posts on the KOS and HUFFINGTON sites as well as others who used to think Barrack Hussein Obama Carter was their Lord and Messiah. Now they are pissed as it looks like HE (not Mc Cain) is turning into BUSH 3. Now that's a CHANGE!

Obama's personality is even CHANGING. No longer does he sound as confident as before. Possibly it's because he's forced to actually talk without using his best friend the teleprompter or maybe it's because his once untouched elite personality is being scrutinized with the end result being a candidate that is being found to have absolutely NO SUBSTANCE! Now that's a CHANGE!

And the former Messiah can no longer think that Iraq will help him as even the most liberal of the media and his party are admitting that things there are improving unbelievably both militarily and politically and, God forbid, even the great George Bush is talking about pulling more troops out as he INITIALLY said he was going to years ago as things got better!!! Talk about CHANGE although this sure as hell is NOT the CHANGE that Obama and libs want because anything good that happens in Iraq (or in the U.S. for that matter) means real bad news for the Dem party! (Yes, I know this is sick but unfortunately it's true!).

And what is the most often quoted qualification that he has for being President? ANSWER: the fact that he was a "community organizer"!!! A what? What the hell does a "community organzier" do and why would THIS give him experience to be President? this is f'in laughable!!

    LOVE links!!

  • mirth · 1 year ago
    red_dwarf,

Ol' johnkerry has occasionally written comments here and, believeyoume, most of this was a cut&paste from somewhere else with a few of his "thoughts" thrown in. It's so idiotic that I can't think of it as offensive. Even he doesn't believe it. He just gets off on being what he thinks is clever and divisive. Truth is, he knows his time is about over as he watches his fellow traitors to this country fall one by one and leave ruin in their wake. Soon they will all slither back under their rocks...and he's afraid of the dark.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
I think the boy might have connections. I'll be honest with ya, I'm hoping he can hook me up with Cindy McCain. She's got that nasty look I like seein' in a woman.

What planet are you from? You're behaving just like an anorexic. When you look in the mirror you are incapable of seeing things as they really are. Everything you have said is pure BS and you know it. What is with you right wing nut jobs?
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
Tough to handle the truth isn't it cheesehead boy! You all must be
heartbroken. You libs are now finding out that this third rate
politician con artist has been lying through his balls to you and you're
finding out that he WILL NOT bring the soldiers home, he does NOT oppose
FISA, he does oppose the queer marriage shit, and he's done a deluxe
flip flop on just about any and every thing he said to become the nominee!

I even am starting to feel sorry for you guys!
  • liberalcheesehead · 1 year ago
    Hey:

Wise up. The truth must be really hard for you. Everything you have just
said applies to McCain and the other Bushies. If you think that Obama has
been flipflopping, then you watch way too much Faux news, because it just
aint happening. You are entitled to have your own opinion, but you can't
make up the facts (even though just making up shit seems to be what
conservatives do best). I feel really sorry for you. In fact one day you
so-called republican conservatives will see the light and actually follow
Christ's teachings and heed his need for compassion for the poor. You will
be in for one rude awakening come this November. Are you one of the 26-28%
that still approves of Bush? You sound like it.

    Liberalcheesehead
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
"faux news"! Oh how original cheesehead!!

If you think Obama Carter Bush 3 HASN'T been flipflopping you are
completely out of touch with reality pal. EVEN your liberal media
    favorites point this out!

Are you one of the 9(!!!) yes 9% of people who approve of your lib lead
    Congress???? Looks like you are!!

Yes, the TRUTH hurts doesn't it cheesy.

But hey, who am I to deny the qualifications of a former "community
organizer" (this is too good to be true, isn't it!!!)!! Without a doubt
    this is priceless!!
  • liberalcheesehead · 1 year ago
Hitler had his fanatics too!! You are too blind and too partisan to see
what is clearly in front of you. Clearly you are a waste of good air. By
the way, this may come as a big shock to you-THE MEDIA ISN'T LIBERAL. The
media is overwhelmingly owned, run and controlled by large corporations that
are decidedly Republican and some ways subtly and in other ways overtly
    partisan.

The low approval numbers for Congress has nothing to do with it being
Democratic. Good try at spinning. It is because the Republicans have been
obstructing what the Democrats and the American people actually want done.
Conservatives are too busy trying to protect the wealthiest 1% to actually
give a damn abaout what is in the best interest of our country as a whole.
And then they lie about it.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
This clown amazes me. If there is one thing a con-artist con-servative loves to do, it is to ignore their own candidate and their own campaign in another vain attempt to demonize the other side. It is no surprise to ANY American citizen at this point that the GOP has nothing to run on this year, and yet the sore losers of public support wear their spoiled, bitter selves on sleeves that wail about how holding power is an entitlement. As long as there is a single penny in the pocket of a working American, Republicans will lie, cheat, connive, confuse, pretend to moralize and deflect attention until they get their fingers on that little piece of fake copper.

For godsakes. . .if there is one thing so obvious to the American people this year, it is the realization that the slimy campaign tactics of the past two election cycles are exactly the way Republicans view their fellow Americans, their government, and certainly their economy.

Isn't it insulting enough to the American people that the morally and ethically bankrupt GOP cannot produce a presidential candidate better then the one they themselves threw under the bus eight years ago in order to present us with the God-annointed George W. Bush?
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
I WILL agree with you that Mc Cain was the WORST choice for us to pick!
I'm just hoping Mitt will be the VP choice!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Well let's see: I'll take OB-man over a wrinkled-ass old white senior in a heart beat. Might I remind you as well....Opie....that McCain graduated at the very bottom of his naval class. And who says he's a fuc*in war hero. Last time I checked he sold his country out by making propaganda videos for the Cong.

Yes, it's true--Obama no longer appears to be the once mightily confident chap he used to be, but I'm guessing he can still deliver a speech in front of a 100,000 without the aid of a "green backdrop", and, Obama generally remembers the things he's going to back-peddle on later.

We don't notice any change in McCain, because he's always been a dumb ass--thus no comparison from past self to present self. Let me guess, you're one of the folks hired by McCain to fondle his old nuts while he's speech writing on the "Straight talk Express!"
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
Looks like all is not well in Obama land for MANY reasons. Hey, if you
want to pay a hell of a lot more taxes that's your decision. If you want
our economy to be like Jimmah Carter's that's up to you. If you want us
to leave Iraq where we are winning BOTH politically and militarily and
if you want the world to see us as liberal pussies that's up to you! And
if you want to give your ni ce little liberal terrorist pals a LOT more
incentive to attack us, hey, that's up to you.

I hate to tell you wolfie but being a good President has absolutely
NOTHING to do with how well a person can read a speech. This I'm sure
comes as a shock to you.

Wanna talk about a man who's totally out of it? How about a f'in 40+
year old "Harvard" grad who thinks there are 58 states in the U.S.! Or
one that has NO idea what the Chiefs of staff are or do! Want more
    examples?

If you want to do the "might I remind you" thing we can do that all day
like - might I remind you that the great George Bush has a much higher
IQ and got BETTER grades than John " I was in Nam for six weeks"
Kerry! Might I remind you also that Kerry never really earned any
medals liegit but either caused self inflicted ones or simply invented
    others! Want more???

Oh, and the last time I checked NO U.S. Presidents have ever had the
honor of being a "community organizer" in his background!! A what? I'm
laughing like crazy just thinking about the balls this inexperienced
curious George look alike has to even bring something like this up as a
    qualification!! VERY, VERY BIZARRE!!!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Well then little JOHNKERRY: Actually, you're quite comical. Obama's campaign is alive and well--every time I get a response from an Appalachian reject such as yourself, I donate three times as much. Iraq is a fuc*ing joke; we're losing militarily and politically. This is a war that should never have been fought.

This administration is morally bankrupt--and it's time for change.

Thanks for the compliments about Obama's oratory skills. And, we know that the criteria for being president is not how well one can read or speak--otherwise the idiot Bush could never have occupied the oval office. No shock to me! Now, this response could never have occurred to you...chuckle. "You're doing an excellent job so far Opie!"

I'm ashamed that McCain can admit before the world that he's never turned on a computer in his life. That's even a step down from George Bush who might have "Googled" something at one time in his life. You're willing to put your stock in a bumbling idiot that believes Czechoslovakia is still on the world map! You're willing to put stock in a man that sold his country out to make propaganda videos for the enemy. You're willing to put stock in an old bastard that left his wife for a dizzy blond--even before she even had time to heal from her medical problems.

Bush was a "C" student at best, and McCain graduated at the bottom of his class. And, low grades didn't stop Bush and his "skull" buddy Kerry from making the grade at Haaaavarrrd! That's what money, being male, and a white paint job can accomplish.

I think the democrats can do a hell of a lot better this November. I'll pay the taxes jackass as long as they count for something. This administration has wasted and pissed off more of America's wealth than all previous administrations combined. I'll be happy to school you in the next reply about the "Halliburton" and Blackwater ripoffs the Bush Administration is severely linked to. Hell, I'll even school ya on how the Bush Administration and the Republican mindset has drained the wealth of America.

Bush is still suckin' his mama's tit, and is one of the most incompetent presidents to ever occupy the top position. His approval ratings are an embarrassment to his own party. He's radio active, and you fools are scrambling to find a way to get up close and personal with the public after losing several election seats...."There's more to come!"

You can kiss my black ass here and now--and you can reluctantly kiss Obama's in November...chuckle.
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
Well then little wolfie: I'm glad you're wasting your money on a con
artist! Good job! As fara s Iraq being a fuc*ing joke I guess you
don't agree with a lot of your left lib friends in the media, gov't etc
and I guess you don't keep up-to-date with the latest news!! Doesn't
surprise me although I suspect that you REALLY know the truth but of
    course can't admit it.

So Forrest you're apparently willing to gamble you, your family, friends
and fellow Americans on someone who's claim to fame is that he was a
"community organizer" (a what???) and that he can read speeches pretty
    good!!!

Oh and what would a lib comment be with references to the dreaded
    HALIBURTON?

So save your money (if Curious G is elected) because you surea s hell
    will need it.

And I didn't know you're a member of the black race! Now it all makes
    sense!!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
That's right gimpie! Black and Beautiful. I'll gamble on the black guy too. I haven't seen anything of value with a white paint job in the last 30 years.

As far as saving money, hell, I don't worry about. Why should I when I pull in well over 300 G's a year (Web design, PPC, and affiliate marketing).....chuckle. And, the skies the limit form here on out. I'm hooked in....Opie.... to the subtle changes that makes things happen in the world. And, I can assure you that Obama will win in November. I make my living by understanding and capitalizing on change:)

I study money, live it, breathe it; while you're sittin' down with your pimple-faced butt buddies hoping McCain will throw a few crumbs your way. The world is moving, and I can sense the direction it's moving in: Alternative energy sources, and new technologies etc, etc. To accomplish this, we have to arrive at a new way of thinking---and new thinking ain't a Republican stronghold.

First, we'll get the special interest group assholes out of Washington. Second, we'll invest in green technologies. Third, we'll invest in rebuilding our infrastructure. Fourth, we'll re-invest in the types of jobs that can create the kind of wealth that will circulate throughout the economy over and over again.

It's greed Goober, it's greed! True greed understands that the middle class has to flourish so the fuc*ing wealthy can stay propped up on the top.

Keep coming back! Prostrate yourself at my feet. I can teach you something that you can value for life.
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
    Hey black wolf

Good for you! You're a man I can relate to as far as the 300K is
concerned so Mister Forrest I guess that puts you in one of the TOP tax
brackets so you're DEFINITELY an Obama Brotha for life! Hey, if you want
to lose your money that I suspect you work hard for then that's up to
you and I will noitBy the way, since you do web design I may be
interested in your services! Why not add some links of what you've done!

To be honest with you blackie, Mc Cain is NOT my first,s econd, third,
fourth, fifth, etc choice but he's better than the Messiah. I can assure
you that Obama Carter Bush will NOT win in Nov. To begin with, being a
stone cold liberal is the first thing against him. Second, no one knows
the guy. No one knows anything about him other than he spent 143 days in
the Senate, can read from a teleprompter and was a "community organizer"
    - none of which are qualifications for President who will be faced with
serious decisions. Obama also has a HORRIBLE history of judgment and I
don't think I need to go into that for you, do I! The American people
will not (TRUST ME!) vote for this empty suit no matter how it's dressed.

Obama is now proving that CHANGE is not a good word for him as he's
CHANGING his opinions daily. Sure, I know you'll bring up Mc Cain and
while you're at it you can bring up every politician as they're all good
at doing this BUT I have never seen anyone FLIP FLOP as much in the last
month as your boy. It's unbelievable. Seriously blackie, how can you
REALLY know what he stands for???

By the way, i LOVE your mention of "special interests"! In January, the
Obama campaign described union contributions to the campaigns of Clinton
and John Edwards as "special interest" money. Obama changed his tune as
he began gathering his own union endorsements. He now refers
respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and
says he is "thrilled" by their support.

Have a great green day my brotha!!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Oh, there you are .....my little "bitch ass white boy"...chuckle. I wouldn't give you a fuc*in link if they promised me another 300g's this year.

However, I'll school you in the knowledge of SEO--- simply so you can know I command the discipline....and therefore the obvious means of execution.

But first, you have to bow low and tell me that you realize my superiority.

And, you have a great day...my little bitch.......:)
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Hey white boy! A bit nervous about me making over 300k a year?! I'll throw a word at you to see if it sticks.....PPC. There are more things in this world than you can image. Now, don't think drugs with your stupid white ass!

I like lookin' down on little faggot ass republicans like yourself. You probably wrote that last email to me from a restroom stall. But, I do love the fact that your world is upside down knowin' a brotha will own it all shortly.

The world is changing. Everywhere I look I see hope! That's the hope that an African American will bring to the table. We're all tired of how you inbred European mongrels have run this country into the ground.

It's time for change we can all believe in....chuckle.

And in 20 years the brown man will run it.....haha. Well then whitey, what you got to say for yourself?

Oh by the way. Hook me up with Cindy McCain. She's got a nasty look that I find quite appealing. We know old man McCain ain't tappin' it. Well. like you, he comes up short in that department.

Unrepent - we now have a situation where the pResident can pardon any criminals he deems necessary to cover his criminal acts. The founding fathers never questioned the pardon power because they thought that any criminals in office would be impeached prior to such nonsense as pardoning criminals to cover their own criminal behavior.

I blame the founding fathers for their short-comings. They provided Impeachment as a remedy to remove criminals from office. Like I said, how blind they were.

Investigative journalism or even the basic principles of journalism haven't been the norm in this country for years. This is almost worse than the high school journalism class. Get the facts! Expose the truth!
I am stunned that he continues to get away with this and then has the gall to call Obama flip flopper for opting out of public financing. Honestly, I haven't recognized the America I know for the last 8 years. We have slowly become these intellectually incurious robots who are more concerned with Brittany Spears' custody battle and Victoria Beckham's outfits than how the hell our country is run. The kid's heads are bent over their Game boys and they only lift their glazed eyeballs long enough to locate food and mumble a monosyllabic answer to their parent's questions. When did being stupid become cool? Did I miss that? I really wish someone would have told me it was time to relinquish my responsibility for education and self-governance. I wouldn’t have wasted all those years in civics and history class. I could have used the time to develop an appropriately brainless girly giggle and hair toss so I could get a man. I rarely bother with the MSM anymore. I really don’t see the point. Two exceptions are Keith Olberman’s Countdown and Anderson Cooper’s 360 (He actually behaves like a journalist with some grit and integrity and he is very easy on the eyes). Everyone else is so busy spouting the talking points of the republican party or booking Ann Coulter’s evil a$$ to do it, they don’t have the time actually investigate anything.
I appreciate the work that you all do here at America Blog and the folks over at Thinkprogress. Can we please find a way to make being smart and informed cool to the general populace?!

Okay, I have vented. I will now get off my soap box and get back to work.

I am frankly sick of this stuff, and frankly sick of the media giving Mccain all the freedom he wants to be able to say whatever he wants unchecked!!!

Little Bitch Ass white boy JohnKerry: I most certainly will not give you a link to the award winning work which I create for clients. Dumb Ass! Why would I risk allowing some pimple -poppin-pale-faced-trailer park trash--MF like you contacting a client?!....lol.

Besides, you don't have a Fuc*ing clue as to what I do with websites. Here goes white trash: I design and optimize web sites to produce revenue. There's a select group of us who understand the Google Algorithm and how it indexes websites for page ranking. We can then create the architecture/site design and keyword content to maximize search engine results. But that's not all fuc* face.

We understand link strategy and it's importance in page ranking. But no more! The last thing I'd want to do is give you any kind of insight that will upgrade your white trash status.

Impressed........bitch? And you thought that a site has to win an award to produce mass revenues?...lollllllllll. What can you possibly tell "me" about life?

Keep comin' back. I'll own you in several more posts. Now then, tell me a little about your sorry white ass! Tell me about life--what's it all about. Help me to understand what it is you think you see!
