I think I'll pass on the wash and wear suit. Don't think I'll be buying any of those anytime soon.
I got a REAL BIG PROBLEM tonight with whoever the "Democratic Strategist" is who just popped off on on CNN. I'm waiting for CNN to return. I was drying off from the shower and heard them discussing the OUTRAGE of NY Times article of Pentagon pushing the Iraq war with our media just swallowing it all without doing any investigative work. I heard someone I thought was a Republican say "In defense of the Bush Administration, government was just doing its job!" I thought, "OH NO! No Republican can get away with THAT CRAP now!" I rushed into the room to barely have time enough to see the IDIOT saying it was a "DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST!" Okay, its time for all the unemployed Democratic propaganda readers hired by networks to comment to stop getting the title "Democratic Strategist." No, that is not STRATEGY and it is INCORRECT. It is NOT the American government's job to LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THROUGH THE MEDIA. Whoever that punk was that just said that needs to be BLACKBALLED from the Democratic Party. Okay, it is the Rick Sanchez show. Okay, still trying to get his name... Wow, CNN let in a huge bunch of Hillary supporters! While I'm waiting to see who the fool is that just trashed a perfectly correct and honest Democratic talking point, I will again say any Democrat who feels the need to back up, explain away or play devil's advocate to any point rightly criticize the Republican Party needs to leave our party. We don't need you. Go where you are wanted where propaganda is welcome - the GOP. Anyone else see that fool's name "Democratic Strategist" who said "Its the Bush Administration's job to lie to the media, therefore the people to get them to back up their unprovoked wars of aggression?"

What's that old saying -- "everything old is new again"?!? A suit like that in the 1950's would probably have been considered the latest innovation in modern technology, yet probably enough to brand someone as a nerd for all time in the 1980's -- and now people are starting to think it's cool again. Aw, what the hell...why not? Just about everything else has eventually come back in style -- why not this?

I'm pre-permanent press dress shirts. If those suits are anything like the shirts, it's all in the eye of the beholder! The shirts always looked like hell to me, and needed ironing. The guys with the wrinkled shirts thought they looked mightly good! I had plenty of friends who told their husbands they looked marvelous!

I'm back to CNN watching Rick Sanchez try to moderate a show about the Democratic Primary in Pennsylvania. He needs to work on being fair towards the Democratic and progressive viewpoint. Of course, if it ain't Republican, then GOP lover Sanchez isn't gonna be fair. I'm still waiting to see who the "Democratic Strategist" is who stupidly said it was the Bush Administrations job to lie to the media about the Iraq War. Sanchez followed it all up by saying the communist country he was born in had media that lied to the people all the time. With the last name Sanchez and his being an obvious Republican, I'm sure he is from Cuba. Too tired to verify via Google. Still waiting him to get back to the panel, but Sanchez and CNN just can't get off the 24/7 Pope Watch and all the issues Catholics want to weigh in on right now. Still waiting to see that stpecial Democratic Strategist's name so I can mark him down as a Manchurian apologist for the Republican Party.

Okay, the idiot's name is Larry Ceisler. Now he is defending Stephanapolous and Gibson's crappy performance calling it "Entertainment." Larry Ceisler must have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth for him to be calling any debate during these hard times as "Entertainment." Gas prices are at record high, we are entering the fifth year of a disastrous war, and the NY Times discovered the media didn't do its job when fed propaganda from the Bush Administration and the CNN hired so-called "Democratic Strategist" is calling a debate which was almost universally canned as "Entertainment?!!?" Who the HELL is that creep?

Now that Ceisler punk just pulled a Clinton talking point out of his ass about how Obama couldn't handle the CRAPPY QUESTIONS from the idiot moderators and got CNN's pro-Hillary crowd to bust out in cheers! Me thinks CNN is desperate for Hillary to win? Wow, CNN must really want someone McCain can beat in November, huh?

I used to have a degree of respect for Larry Johnson, but after reading some of his comments lately, the ex-CIA guy has really gone off the rails over on his blog and his support for Hillary.

Did anyone read the Frank Rich NTY Op-Ed piece? It is really, really, good. He rips into ABC. Saw it on Huff but here is a link in case your are interested.
With all due respect, I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the judgment of men who are fully suited and booted in mid-summer. If they're not smart enough to dress appropriately in hot weather, how can I trust their professional decisions?

Chris, your post reminded me of this scene from "Charade" which as you know takes place in Paris. Cary Grant goes on to explain that the suit is the latest in wash and wear. The link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsHS9oJKx3o

OT, for Chris in Paris and to wind down your Sunday night:
The other night in a restaurant the most beautiful music was played. I didn't know the song or the singer, but I just found both at youtube.
"In France today, she's well-known for her precious and deeply moving cover of Carlos Puebla's "Hasta Siempre" (A cuban hymn to Che Guevera that she recorded in 1968 in Caracas). 30 years later, that version climbed up the french charts and sold more than 50.000 copies."
hi all! the suit probably may not "feel good" on the skin ?
nice tune, mirth!

Hi Jenniloon :)
I was captured by her voice and so was everyone else. The restaurant became quiet as we all listened...one of those good times when strangers are sharing the same pleasant emotions.
