Didn't Limbaugh help Michael Steele lose the Senate race in 06 when he openly mocked Michael J. Fox?
Keep 'em coming Rush.

I think that was Jim Talent in Missouri, who lost his seat to Claire McCaskill.
Michael J. Fox did an ad for McCaskill that Rush made fun of.

Sounds like a plan. As a side bet, how long will it take the GOPers to realize they've been had?

could it be? The Dems have figured out how to control the message after 20 frickn years?

I keep thinking we should treat Rush as if he's actually a satirist making fun of Republicans who don't get the joke. Treat him as if he's really on our side and trying to make conservatives look bad.
Sort of like the way the "Boondocks" cartoon portrayed Ann Coulter as a closeted liberal who gets conservative money to use for liberal causes. That makes a lot more sense than trying to take her at her word!

And the Christians in our midst should continuously point out Limbaugh's distance from Christianity. How often does he talk about promoting Christ's love for others? It's all America this, America that. But Christians fall for it. Why?
We need to remind Christians as often as possible that Limbaugh is more interested in the USA than he is in God.

Good plan.
I'd like to tie Bush to the Repubs, but they seem to be running away from Bush as fast as they can.

Digby on Limbaugh today:
I'm watching the leader of the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh, give his speech at CPAC on CNN, live and in its entirety, without commercials. If you doubted that he is the leader, you won't doubt it after you see the reception he's getting.
At 3:15 PST, CNN had still not broken away for a commercial. He spoke for an hour and half without interruption.
Good grief...they can't even break for a commerical.

Fidel Castro gave speeches even longer than that, and his crowds always roared ecstatically too.

The Republican party is a fringe party and will become an obsolete party soon. However, do not assume the people leaving this party will become Democrats. They will be Independents. You will see Schwarzenegger and Christ becoming independents in the near future. All in all, this will not be a bad thing for the Democrats but it will not be a move toward liberalism, as a matter of fact it will bring the Democratic party more to the right.

OT:
WASHINGTON - Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is President Barack Obama's choice for secretary of health and human services, a White House source said Saturday.
The source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, said Obama will formally announce the nomination on Monday.
We need to link Rush to GOPers in the area we run the adds in and to antiObama comments. Link the local GOPers to their most unpopular saying bad stuff about our most popular this will force the local GOP to go against Rush or get lower polls. Plus lets not use any GOP media to broadcast the ads please.

John, from the same Do-As-I-Say, Not-As-I-Do manual read by the Palin women:
AUSTIN, Texas -- A state criminal appeals judge has been given more time to respond to misconduct charges alleging she improperly cut off appeals for a condemned inmate the night of his execution.
Sharon Keller, the presiding judge on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, could be removed from office under the charges brought by the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct.
The charges were filed last week and Keller originally had 15 days to respond. She asked for extra time and now has until March 24, said Seana Willing, executive director of the commission.
The commission says Keller refused to keep the court offices open after 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2007, when attorneys for Michael Richard asked for an extension to file an appeal. Richard was executed later that night.
[Me again. You can't make this stuff up. This judge was such a stickler for the rules that she let a man die for them. Now SHE's entitled to more time to plead for her job?]

The Democratic Party should do the opposite of what Paul Begalia or James Carville proposes.
Limbaugh is a self perpetual spin cycle. There is no need for the Democratic Party to help it out. Just Limbaugh continue with his Michael J. Fox mocking foot in his mouth ways. He will always have followers, but he has lost many of his audience share from the years past.

The Republicans stopped being the party of Lincoln in 1890. (Yes, I said 1890, not 1980.) With LBJ's signing of the Civil Rights Act, the Republicans became the anti-Lincoln party. And they're still gleefully playing the role of the southern Democrats of old, the party that fought Lincoln until one of them assissinated him.

Joe the Liar, Ann the Man, and Rush Windbag were the focus at the Conservative Political Action Conference. I don't think we need to do anything but remind people in 2010.

What the Republicans need someone that appeals to Independents. The Republicans owned the Independents until 2005 with Iraq and the final nail in the coffin, Hurricane Katrina. All the people you quoted, are so vituperative, the Republican need someone that can bridge gaps, than someone like Limbaugh, who think the chosen path is to be more divisive.
Caught a bit of limpalls speech and was reminded of something. Then it came to me. I flashed back to the late thirties and realized that he looked and act just like IL DOCHE in his black shirt and haughty manner. Scary .
