Interesting.
The Cuban exile community is a pretty hardline Republican crew, and Obama just gave a speech to the relatively right-wing Cuban American National Foundation about relaxing the embargo. What do they think?
When Obama arrived, the room burst into a standing ovation as people yelled and snapped pictures. His speech was frequently interrupted by applause.
The President of the group, Pepe Hernandez, compared Obama to McCain, who had spoken a few days ago to the group. "We love Senator McCain and we have been friends with him for a very long period of time, but we think at this juncture of history of the Cuban process we need to try new approaches and new methods."
