AMERICAblog: The video every SuperDelegate should see

Hello, Obama as nominee = Hello, President McCain

Just prepare yourselves for it, because our nominee will be unelectable. I'm just as disgusted with McCain as the next Democrat, and I'll vote for Obama...but he's inexperienced and therefore unelectable in the eyes of the general public. The only reason he has drawn Republican voters in the primaries is because they all know this and would much rather face him in the general election than Clinton. Period.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
I agree, we do deserve the truth. Too bad you don't know the truth huh?
Inexperience = unelectable? Tell that to Bill Clinton. Tell that to Jimmy Carter. Tell that to ABRAHAM LINCOLN for gawdsake! He had the same amount of time in the Ilinoise senate as Obama without the time in the US seanate like Obama has. America is going to take a good look at McCain and see what has been showing in him already but hasn't gotten the media attention yet. They will see his oncoming senility.
President Barak Hussein Obama. Get used to it.
  • ruthlessgravity · 1 year ago
experience does not equal electability. McCain can't get 80% of the vote when he is running against no one! His positions are in contrast to where every poll says the vast majority of Americans are. He's 5'7" with a big head and can barely see over a podium....hardly the image of presidential when standing next to a 6'+ guy that is much younger. Barrack's image is much more marketable, and us Americans vote on stupid shit like image (ie, Bush).

NOW, the corporate media "gets" it--what we've been saying for more than 2 months (except for Jonathan Alter who "did the math" for Olbermann in March). Credulous fools or cynics who egged HRC on for the sake of a "good story"?
  • bkmn · 1 year ago
    Will Hillary listen...probably not.

To WeDODeserveTheTruth...if you think McCain will win...just think about the first time he faces Obama in a live debate...he will wail in his own pathetic ineptitude and go down burning...much like all the planes he shot down during the war!
  • WeDODeserveTheTruth · 1 year ago
    Bkmn--
If "wailing in pathetic ineptitude and going down burning" in a debate meant ANYTHING to the general public, we'd have President Kerry now--and not President Bush.
  • WeDODeserveTheTruth · 1 year ago
"President Barak Hussein Obama. Get used to it."

I highly doubt it--considering polls cited today that voters are already extremely concerned about his electability and inexperience--and the Republicans haven't even gotten ahold of him yet. I think we just may lose an unlosable election, folks. Get used to that.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Care to site these polls? After all we do deserve the truth right?
MSNBC sited an exit poll from Indiana that shows Obama would be the tougher opponent for McCain.

Nonsense. The Republicans have thrown their best at him already . . . and all of it was typical GOP crap. The minister; the "psst. . .he's a Muslim", the Ayers bullshit. . .and yes, the most ignorant and most susceptible to typical GOP fear-smear mongering ate it up. But most people are catching on to the GOP's inability to win debating issues. . .and their scandal-ridden failure of a political party has its own major problems.
The media, on the other hand, is going to be an issue. They've already made it quite clear they intend to manufacture and regurgitate any unfathomable crap the Republicans make up, and then create a tabloid story of their own. If we want to win this election, we need to be prepared to answer those attacks quickly and decisively, and come up with constructive ways to hold the media's feet to the fire. I'd rather have a plan to deal with them than to continue this incident-by-incident reaction - they aren't going to change unless they are forced to change.

It's up to her to make a classy, graceful quick exit. If she does not, then the truth will be confirmed that she put herself and her ego ahead of her country. Her legacy will be destroyed.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I think this last point is the most significant. Hillary's own senior staff is leaking information to the media to sabotage her campaign.

    ---------

    They want out.
  • ruthlessgravity · 1 year ago
doesn't she have to find a way to exit so that those debts don't become illegal campaign contributions?

Katie Couric is back! Very cool! Infotaining presentation. I bet it was way too rad for that poor Clinton woman to understand.

Where is all this talk of a dream ticket with Clinton as VP coming from? Please, please, don't let Obama be that stupid. I would seriously have to reconsider if he put her on the ticket. She will never stop trying to undermine him, even when she is supposed to be supporting him. Don't trust her for a minute. There are dozens of more qualified candidates for VP out there. Don't let her bully her way in.
  • mikeyDe · 1 year ago
... dancing with the Feinstein wing of the party. That picture says it all for me about Clinton and the Democratic Party. They voted for war and now say they want out and claim the Obama can't do it because he doesn't have enough experience. Well, if experience means John McCain or Diane Fenstein or Hillary Clinton, I'm ready for some inexperience!

what don't you all get about hillary taking it to the convention that makes it "good stuff" for the liberal party???? do you really want to endure six months of consevative fear mongering or would you just enjoy 3????

i swear i heard barack say that bloomberg was his vp choice.
  • WeDODeserveTheTruth · 1 year ago
The polls I mentioned were ones I heard cited on either Good Morning America or CNN earlier this morning. They had specifically mentioned that voters (primary voters, I assume) polled showed concerns about Obama's electability. It was not a head-to-head Obama vs. McCain sort of poll. I don't recall them citing which polls they were using, but I remember thinking, "Why would you vote for someone you worry may not be electable?"

And it's "cite" these polls--not "site."
  • constantcomment · 1 year ago
barack is one intelligent motherfucker. he can nip every naysayer in the bud with reason and logic. so stop tieing your pantyhose in a knot and get on with it.

Hillary is staying in for one reason -- and one reason only. IF something comes up that destroys Obama, she will be the last one left.

Now WILL some such thing come up? Who knows? Whatever might come up, it couldn't be as bad as McCain. But I digress.

She is searching as hard as she can to find something. Nothing has worked so far. OMG! What could possibly be worse than his retired pastor saying something? LOL

I suspect she will never stop. But it DID tickle me when Lisa WhatsHerName, her mouthpiece, said she might run again next time. hahahahahahahahaha They don't know voters, do they? They think enough Americans are brain dead enough to not remember this.

Obama met with terrorists during his 3 weeks in Pakistan when he was in college?

"Obama met with terrorists during his 3 weeks in Pakistan when he was in college?"

Is this like Bill Clinton meeting with Communists in the Soviet Union while in college? Yeah, that's the easy way!

.Hillary is staying in for one reason -- and one reason only. IF something comes up that destroys Obama, she will be the last one left.

i doubt that. hehe. hillary knows that barack is the better "man". wouldn't suprise me a bit if that the clintons and obamas were in daily conversations about how best to defeat the conservatives.

It's yet another sign that she needs an intervention, fast.

Ah, yes! Well, there's intervention and then there is intervention. Hmmm! Come to think of it, there is also intervention. Given the way she is behaving, I am all in favor of the third form, the permanent kind that we all know the Republicans have no hesitation in using.

When does the "campaign" after the "campaign" begin? Waiting on Kentucky? The Clintons have always excelled at slick dealing. Let there be light!
