That's why he didn't get prosecuted in the Keating Five thing, his deals with Keating were under Cindy's name.

An independent counsel really should look into all of this.
There's a lot of suspicious property swapping going on, I'm sure with unsavory and politically connected people.
And the fact that McCain hides it all in his wife's name even makes it more suspicious.

Obama has been married to the same woman for the last 15 years. Devoted his career to helping others in his community/country No scandals-worse thing they can say that is true is the real estate deal to buy his house. and I don't even think that was a real scandal. Jeez! just because you buy land from a guy doesn't make you responsible for all his other business dealings. When I buy real estate I don't go digging into the background fo the seller. "Oh I might run for congress one day, I better make sure my car dealership isn't shady." WTH?

They aren't just in the same town, they are in the same building. And it is not at all uncommon for rich people to own more than one place in the same town/building; they do it all the time. If money was really no object, wouldn't it be nicer to have separate bedrooms for each of your kids/grandkids for when they come to visit? Why make them stay in a hotel or have everyone on top of each other when you get together.
The fact that McCain is rich and has lots of houses in no way would influence my vote. The fact that he is so frikken out of touch with reality is a big reason not to vote for him.

Yeah, the problem is not that they McCains are rich. Bill Gates is rich but he happens to understand what the rest of the world is dealing with on a daily basis and uses his money to help people. And I never heard of Mrs. Gates stealing drugs from kids.......... When you are blessed with wealth, you do not need to be greedy. Donate the social security check back to the gov't. yeah it would be symbolic but it would show you gave a crap.

McCain doesn't know how many houses they have. He has, to this point, refused to release his wife's financial data. Cindy has two older half-sisters (one from her father, one from her mother) whom she never mentions (the one from her father was left a pittance, while Cindy got the bulk of his estate). Cindy was a prescription drug addict and stole drugs from her non-profit organization. McCain commited adultery because his first wife had been in an accident and was no longer his idea of "beautiful," and married the younger, prettier heiress whom he had shagged while still married to his first wife. McCain doesn't know the difference between Shi'ites and Sunnis. McCain thinks that "Czechoslovakia" is still a country. McCain essentially told the country of Georgia that we would "help" them in any confrontation with Russia (acting as though he was, in fact, already the POTUS). McCain was one of the "Keating Five" in the Savings and Loan scandal. McCain graduated in the bottom five of his class at Annapolis. McCain was responsible for the loss of five jet planes while in the Navy, but kept getting the opportunity to fly again and again. McCain continues to make verbal gaffes and misstatements over and over and over again. Yet he is given a pass because he was a POW? The man is senile and a serial liar. Why do the media continue to give him (and his wife) a pass while jumping on every single thing that Barack and Michelle do (or that the media imagine they do)? Obama needs to start hitting back, and hitting hard. Forget about the "I respect his service" BS and tell it like it is, Barack!
