Congratulations, AJ, and excellent article! It makes me want to order it next month (no money 'til then). In the meantime, may I suggest that perhaps you could send Barack Obama a copy of both the book and the article? Or get it into his hands via a staffer?

Good job, dude.
In other news, Chimpy just vetoed the farm bill. Hopefully Congress will bitch slap him and override the veto.
I work in eastern Colorado, the reddest part of the state, farm and ranch country.
I am going to enjoy telling all of them that their beloved Chimp fucked them up the ass without lube by vetoing the farm bill. Ha Ha HA. STupid Chimpylovers.

Congratulations, A.J.! I'm a subscriber to NYRB, and the fact that they included your book in a heavy-hitting article reinforces my belief both in the high standards of the NYRB and the excellence of your book! I'll spread the word.

Hey, Alex.
I was interested in your book and have recently bought one of those electronic E-book readers from Amazon. It's called Kindle (check out their home page). Anyways, they're pretty neat and you don't need to carry around a bunch of books. Was wondering if you'd consider converting your book to their Kindle format.
As a Kindle owner we have a special login page where there's a link to just submit your PDF of your book, etc. for publishing on Kindle. Thought you'd like to know plus I'd rather buy it electronically where I can download it for years instead of kill a few trees.

I am sorry for being a cheapskate and have not purchased it yet. However, I have checked it out at the library (currently on Ch. 3) and it has been an insightful read so far.

Read the review a week or two ago. Congratulations. As for the NYRB's being "famously insular," a friend calls it "The New York Review of Our Books."
