Of course, this is what happened with NAFTA and CAFTA, and as a result, countries south of the border have sent us their peons. None of this is their fault, of course, but it still has a profound effect on the working class in the US. I guess we're just lucky overseas countries aren't connected to the US by a land mass.
Call "free trade" exactly what it is: Imperialism.

I used to be a free trade advocate before I saw the ravages it caused here and throughout the world.
The only people who profit are Rich Republicans and the Chinese Government.

It seems as if we ride this train every single year. Someone somewhere decides that it is time to talk trade again. But do we ever get anywhere? Can we ever say we will achieve “free” trade with all the global protection? And no hope for “fair” trade either. It seems as if the dance is on again in 2008. The entire idea of a "global market" without "global" minimum wages, labor standards, etc. has merely resulted in a race to the bottom.
Now the NWO has escalated fuel costs, many transport companies will be put out of business; food supplies will become scarce ALL OVER the world and within 2 years 30%-> of the human population will be genocided by starvation.
Monsanto and ADM are attempting to "privatize" the human food supply and now seek lifts of the world wide ban on so-called "terminator" seeds (seedless seeds).
All manufacturing jobs have been shipped out of first world countries and into markets where sweatshops are allowed. When the USA is brought to its knees by the coming economic collapse; manufacturing jobs will return to the US -- but only in exchange for the final abrogation of the U.S. Constitution; any vestige of labor regulation, laws, wage rules, etc.
The USA will join other third world toilets on the plantation with its own sweatshops, where workers not already in the prison, military or in concentration camps will work 18 hour days in exchange for stale food and board.
Think it can't happen here? It's happening already.
