More about the Yule Goat
I'm just wondering if anyone will pose that question in Austin?
You win with honey not vinegar, but really, it is disgusting.
And I know I am obsessed about this, but it used to be one of my daily visits for the interesting legal information.
It is annoying that it turned into something else.
There is wall-to-wall coverage and photos of the 2 Israeli soldiers coffins being returned in the US media...
Where are the photos of US soldiers coffins being returned, in far greater numbers I might add.
I'm hoping Rush has a catastrophic bowel explosion during the service...
Just watched the first segment of last nite's Daily Show with a great editing bit that cut between the Decider's presser and the Fed Chairman's congressional testimony...Why couldn't the corporate nooooz webs make this editing point??? Have cutbacks forced the elimination of edit decks at the various "global" HQs??? Maybe its the same reason they never connect gas prices with vast profits for big corporate oil...
they're invested in status quo and that is not working.
Animals stuck in tar pits once bellowed in fear...Old analog media just simpers like it’s got the lead in The Glass Menagerie...

Casa Colombia on E. 7th. Delicious Colombian food!
Salvation Pizza on 34th
Galaxy Cafe on West Lynn (there are other locations, but this has the grooviest interior)
Madam Maams, 2 locations, Guadalupe @ Dean Keeton or Westgate - some of the best Thai I have had
Marakesh on Congress at 9th. Excellent Mediterranean
Polvos on S. 1st. There is usually a line for good reason. Good tex mex & interior mexican. Fajitas al Guajillo are fantastic, or if you are wanting a bargain try the exotic taco. The margaritas are vicious so be warned....
for upscale, you can't go wrong with Wink at Lamar and 11th (or 12th). And for a bargain they do half priced appetizers in their wine bar during happy hour.
Another excellent upscale option is Jeffrey's on West Lynn. W's favorite restaurant, but don't hold that against the owners. Very progressive, nice people. If you can get Johnny Guffey as your waiter you will never forget the experience.
Owners of Jeffreys also own Cippolina across the street on West Lynn. They have half priced pizzas 3:30-5:30 daily. Good pizza with a unique crust.
If anybody needs further dining suggestions, just let me know. I am happy to help.
Dave
I am happy to make other suggestions if anybody is needing dining advice.
Obama bucks his base and he's abandoning the left and is just your typical politician.
McCain bucks his base and he's a maverick, a straight talking military hero who's not afraid to tell it like it is.
Ugh, our media is a much larger problem than the economy or the iraq war.
I would like to know why Nancy Pelosi has been allowed to keep the whole issue of IMPEACHMENT "off the table," without, to my knowledge, ever explaining the rationale behind such a very questionable concept. Worse yet, I am not aware of any of the MSM ever having asked and/or questioned her about it.
I have become increasingly convinced she made a very dirty, back room deal on this, and consequently SHE is the one who needs to face IMPEACHMENT.
She has failed the American people in a massive way, and I hope at least that she will be defeated in the fall. She sould be ashamed of herself, but she apparently has NO shame. She is an embarassment to the Democratic Party, to the Nation, and to all those who looked for so much after the election of 2006. At the very least she should be removed as Speaker. She has been a miserable failure on all counts.
