I don't know about the rest of us, but I am hearing some really good stuff coming from colleagues...like the AIG bailout and how the hell did they get away with going to spas AFTER the announcement the government would pay for this rescue...or more and more negatives on Caribou Barbie, airhead, outta her league, jesus what was McCain thinking....or my stock portfolio is worthless while the CEO of Exxon takes home millions...and more and more comments like this from people who would normally vote for the GOP candidate. And the "that one" comment will go down as the George HW Bush looking at his watch kinda seminal moment.

I'm in upstate New York, and you don't see many McCain/Palin signs. Of course, you don't see many Obama/Biden signs, either, because there aren't many to go around (cuz we're not a swing state...resources are going where they are needed, so I hear) and because the yard signs keep getting swiped at night ---- one neighbor near me had the Obama sign painted on his retaining wall: "Ha! Let them try to steal this!"

Breakfast TV Yacking Heads:
It's totally heartbreaking and thrilling to see mothers of soldiers in Eye-rack suffer at the hands of That One. Cindy was awesome in her stylish military-style jacket as she lit into Obama for wanting to KILL Private McCain--her baby boy! Like a fierce mama lion, she made her audience feel "the cold chill that went through" her body--and it wasn't because of anything to do with eating disorders! No, it's that the prospect of That One as President is, literally, "chilling". So, Morning Joe thrilled at McCain's NEW attack dog! WOW! It's just chilling!
Sarah, too, another one of the attack dog/mama lions that McCain just loves to have by his side. The way she called out that heckler yesterday, reminding that pig that her son Track was willing to die for his freedom to yell abuse at her. The crowd went wild! And Joe and Barnicle were ecstatic at the "unique" political gifts of their Sarah; just think, a coupla years ago she was, as Barnicle thrilled, "just the mayah of Warsillar" and you can't acquire that level of political superstardom; nope, you either have it or you don't, and she's got it. Greatest star in the GOP since Reagan! Dynamite! Superstar! Not to mention, as Kilmeade drooled, "great legs."
Well, it looks like McCain can't win (Gallup Daily Poll: 52-41). But it's not his fault. No, it's all That One exploiting people's economic misery. And worse, much worse: Obama is orchestrating, thanks to his continuing ties with ACORN, to STEAL the election in at least 10 swing states, where "community organizers" are fraudulently registering new voters. This is getting Gretchen "steamed", and boy, you do NOT mess with a Miss America! Doocy sneered at ACORN's "advance work", which is the new euphemism, apparently, for voter fraud. But the Murdoch Empire is on to you, Barack Hussein Obama, and the election WILL be contested, if necessary.
America not only loves their Sarah as much as the Yacking Heads, but remember that kid who hacked into Sarah's email account and so violated her privacy? He's the son of a Democrat politician. And, as Joe says, the more Sarah gets attacked, the more they love her. Why can't we just vote for the VPs this time, he wailed. So, IF, and that's a BIG "if," Obama does manage to do enough "advance work" to steal the election, it won't be a legitimate result. And, if those 10 states are declared null and void, Vice President Palin could be the NEW Dick Cheney, sitting there in the Senate, breakeen tie votes and all that other stuff!

Boston Globe this morning:
Losing female support, McCain alters approach
John McCain and Sarah Palin held a rally yesterday in Bethlehem, Pa. Polls indicate the candidate has lost any gains he made among women by making Palin his running mate.
Petraeus also came out unambiguously in his talk at Heritage for opening communications with America’s adversaries, a position McCain is attacking Obama for endorsing. Citing his Iraq experience, Petraeus said, “You have to talk to enemies.” He added that it was necessary to have a particular goal for discussion and to perform advance work to understand the motivations of his interlocutors.
I agree with John McCain on one issue. Cindy does look like a trollop.

Anyone noticed that the war criminals Bush and Cheney seem to be AWOL during this financial crisis? There seems to be no one minding the store. If Bush is campaigning for Old Mac, it is not a very appropriate time to do so. It appears Bush has left the nation to suffer by themselves. As usual, like Katrina, he seems to be disconnected from what is happening. To think that morons voted for this pathetic, loser, TWICE.! Now those same voters want to vote for an old man who is peddling those same failed policies, and a She Bush, who is so dense, she thinks she has experience in foreign policies, because she lives next to Russia. Bloody hell, this country is doomed if these two misfits are voted in.

Who is Barack Obama? Why worry about it now , all of a sudden? The question could also be put to Sarah Palin or John McCaine. Many people who used to know him, John, are saying he is not the John they used to know. We are finding out that Palin was asssociated with a group who wanted to make alaska a country. I think the amrican people are smarter then that and the people who do ask those questions about Obama are McCaine voters anyway.
Can the U.S. media ever be "brought to ground"? It is a not behaving as a public trust with constitutional protections as it began, but is just another vulgar medium for advertising in which we are drowning. It is almost inviting nationalization for the good of the public. I am sick of it. It has taken advantage of every political payoff it has made and is an unbelievably rich pot of gold for the few. It is what we have become. As we must pay for advertising, the media is simply another 'tax'. Cable was supposed to be "No ads". DVD's "no ads", movie houses "no ads". Magazines, "no ads". Newspapers "No ads".
We are chumps and they know and treat us like chumps.

How come no one is pointing straight to the media's noses about your assessment of media's spin when the Obama camp. fought back the attacks, which is very valid and true. So, McCain has upped his attacks and started to use Cidney as a surrogate. An honest question: have we finally reached the point where the negative attacks are backfiring? Please don't point to the polls, because much of that is due to economic conditions and its hard to isolate reasoning. Or do the attacks need a few news cycles to "sink in" before the polls start to reflect that? Or are economic conditions cancelling out the attacks? Is Obama successfully rebutting them (I don't think he's doing that great on Ayers). The cynic in me finds it hard to believe that negative ads have just stopped working.

Good morning. It's rare that we the electorate have a clear cut choice between polished and polite Democrats and trash-talking Republicans. We're in luck this year but the price is going to be high. The Mormon-Catholic real estate coalition in both California and Florida is determined to abolish gay marriage and block it permanently. They can win that one.
