In a clip of Palin's interview last nite with Brian Williams on NBC, she couldn't even answer what 'pre-conditions in negotiations' meant.......she said it was having a diplomatic strategy before meeting with a dictator(s)........McCain was sitting next to her....wonder what he was REALLY thinking...

She left me totally confused with that one. I really have tried to interpret her messages to see if she has even the most general knowledge about the issues of this country but realized that it's just a bunch of her talkin' points all swirled together. She know's nothin' about nothin' except how to lie, cheat, and steal.

reposting this thought from the other thread; its relevant
Asia is now claiming its fair share of the world’s money - gold. If the US tries to devalue de dollar in terms of gold, Asia threatens not to lend the US any more dollars- one billion a day is what the US needs. So it is the Asians that are forcing the dollar’s to strengthen in terms of gold, this way they can acquire more of the precious metal. They have plenty of dollars to buy gold. This gold buying by the Asians will come to an end when they have enough gold and then the US dollar will plummet like a rock in water. It will not take long for the stocks of bullion are not that big.

It's so weird when at rallies McCain yells "I'm not George Bush!" and the crowd cheers !? Those people are George Bush supporters yet they're dissing George Bush. Or if they aren't George Bush supporters why would they vote for McCain. Complete dissonance.

Breakfast TV Yada-yada-yada:
In case anyone thought Barack Obama was not "black enough" Breakfast TV this morning can disabuse that notion:
1. Joe began by flinging his hands up in the air, like at an old-timey revival meeting, and did his best Buckwheat voice to imitate Obama talking about the "righteous wind" that will push him to victory. "I'm feeee-lin' righteous!" Joe shouted, since that's what self-proclaimed rednecks from the Redneck Riviera (Pensacola) do. Peggy Noonan later intoned, in her best faux-finishing school lockjaw, that beloved Ronald Reagan never would have fostered an Obama Nation cult of personality by talking about a "righteous wind" about himself. No, the Great Communicator talked about mighty winds for his "movement". It all just goes to show how easy it is, and even necessary it is, to mock that Uppity Upstart.
2. Endless, endless, endless tracking shots of endless, endless, endless lines of African-Americans. What were all these strange people doing, instead of being at work (like plumbeen and dairyeen)? They were, Fox and Friends raised the alarm, waiting to vote, that is: early vote! It was Florida and it's been CHAOS down there. Thanks, of course, to ACORN, who brought all those folks out. Yes, ACORN (to use Kilmeade's phrase) is "the Mother Ship" of all that dark-complected suspicious enthusiasm for Democracy. No, Doocy said, it's more like the Titanic! Gretchen just cut to the chase: "it's a MESS!" And they know of one guy who fraudulently registered ("cooked up") 2,000 names! It sure is a mess, this thing called participatory democracy and what's worse, MSBNC (sic), as Doocy called that network that only about 8 people ever watch, is linking up with ACORN and La Raza (that wants to "take back" Texas!) and the National Gays and Lesbians (sic) to set up a hotline to report "problems" on Election Day. What a mess!!!
3. So, it looks like Obama is gonna win. But it's "gut check time", according to Barnicle, for Americans ovah 60 yeahs old to "process" a black guy bein' the guy in the Oval Office. The oldsters know Colin Powell, he's a hero, but a black guy they didn't even know about two years ago. With that name: Barack Hussein Obama! Well, it's all enough to cause mass cardiac events among America's seniahs! Yes, all agreed on Morning Joe, there IS a "bias" against Obama (in a way that there wasn't against Powell), but nobody on MJ could explain why that "bias" is, it just is. So there ya go.
While even that guy on Fox and Friends who shows up at donut huts and off-brand gas stations at 6AM and gets the vox pop from sleepyheads who say they don't care about the election, when even that guy say the "electoral map" looks bleak for McCain, Peggy Noonan reminded us all that "it's not over," that Obama and Biden are way too liberal for this "center-right" country she loves so dearly, and: McCain is having more "Joe the Plumber events" while Obama drops out of the picture to go to Hawaii (again!), only ONE poll matters (according to the dapper and effete Capehart): the one on 4 Novemeber, people! And Obama could be behind in that one.
All of which means: Bridget, sweetie, momma Cindy IS going to let your friends sleep over at the White House...once they and their parents get the security clearances!

50% of the country is braindead. 1% of the country controls the media. 10% of the country controls the wealth.
Propaganda is their tool. Ignorance their friend. Change their enemy. Historians will see right through these shallow fruitcakes, such as Joe, Sarah, etc.
May the GOP be thrown out of power for the next 30 years. You young people out there - listen up - and listen good. The last thing you want in your life is for a bunch of facist right wing asswipes tracking your every move and telling you what and how to think. I hope your generation fights them tooth and nail down to your last breath. Our generation tried, but the facists from the 1930s finally crested - and overwhelmed us - but this next wave coming ashore looks to be a wave of progression, enlightenment, etc. I wish you Godspeed.

Palin says she is intellectual, cites reading as favorite thing to do besides kids and sports
"And you have to be up on not only current events, but you have to understand the foundation of the issues that you're working on," Palin said in an interview with People magazine. "You can't just go on what is presented you."

Chuck Heatlh, Palin's father, described himself as a "naturalist" and I'm sure Thoreau would be proud...not.
GRIFFIN: Her father, Chuck, now retired, and a track coach who had to moonlight several jobs, even bartend to make ends meet. When Sarah was two months old, Chuck Heath moved his family to a remote part of Alaska.
Why Alaska?
CHUCK HEATH: Hunting and fishing. I conned my wife and I said we will try it for one year. and when we got up there, we couldn't afford to leave. We didn't have television. We had one radio station and no newspaper. We were isolated. I came up with a fish pole in one hand and a gun in the other and I haven't put them down.
GRIFFIN: Heath would often take his children moose hunting before school. Sarah bagged her first rabbit at age 10. And hunting is a tradition Sarah continues with her children.
"I conned my wife..." Say, sort of like your daughter is trying to con the US?

I read that Palin will donate all the C $ L $ O $ T $ H $ E $ S she purchased to charity. I hope they do go to a charity and not sold on ebay.
So, I wonder which charity it will be? A local salvation army?? Good Will?? Or maybe she could spread the goods around to several charities... all socialistic like....and give us all a chance to get a share. She’ll have to make the executive decision soon though..... only 12 days of campaign appearances to go.
I wish I knew where and when she’ll be delivering the clothes, I’d get on line now.

GOP Dudes for Palin will auction them off to their members. Rich Lowry has first (and maybe final!) bid on one of Sarah's SPANX "body shapers"! Bill Kristol is going to snag some of her high heels, while Rush is plumping for a couple of her blouses, especially desirable since they are unlaundered! David Brooks loves her red leather jacket, but is worried about whether those stains can be dry-cleaned out--he's one of the more fastidious bidders.

I'm curious why we haven't heard more about the building of the PALIN HOUSE in Wassilla. The same guy worked on it that did the work on STEVENS cabin. The builder also built the $12 million dollar sports arena in WASS. $150,000 for clothes, a VERY LARGE HOUSE, my guess is that's just the tip of the MELTING ICEBERG. She would certainly FIT right into a CHENEY administration.

California Measure to End Same-Sex Marriage Trailing, Poll Says
By William Selway
Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- A California ballot measure that would halt same-sex marriages in the most-populous U.S. state is trailing among those expected to cast ballots in November, a poll found.
The proposed ban, known as Proposition 8, is opposed by 52 percent of those likely to vote, with 44 percent in favor, according to a poll by the Public Policy Institute of California. The ban is opposed by two-thirds of Democrats in a state where Senator Barack Obama holds a lead of 23 percentage points over Republican Challenger John McCain, the poll found.
``A big turnout for the top-of-the-ticket presidential race could have a significant impact on the rest of the ballot,'' Mark Baldassare, the president of the San Francisco-based research group, said in a statement.
California this year became the second state after Massachusetts to allow same-sex couples to marry, following a ruling by its Supreme Court that a 2000 ban passed by the voters violated the constitutional rights of homosexuals. Opponents of gay nuptials moved to overturn that verdict by asking state voters to amend the constitution to prohibit the practice.
The results of the Public Policy Institute poll are based on interviews with 1,186 likely voters from Oct. 12 to Oct. 19, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
