AMERICAblog: TIME's blog: "John McCain is probably the favorite candidate of Osama bin Laden, just as George W. Bush was Osama's presidential preference."

The key is to get the FOX news, Corporate Propaganda Media "CPM" listener to understand this point. We've seen and understood this from the very beginning, but remember how effective it was for Osama to pull the "reverse logic" on the average American voter. They were like, "Ohhhhh, Osama wants John Kerry so I'm going to vote for Bush!"
Osama, in the meantime, was thinking, "Psyche! Average American CPM viewers are so easily played..."

By the way, I was doing some precinct walking for the Andrew Rice campaign yesterday, and my fears were realized. The over sixty Democratic crowd is absolutely out of touch. I heard all kinds of ridiculous stuff. Fortunately, they are willing to vote for Andrew Rice against Inhofe, but they were parotting all kinds of FOX news crap. I heard, "Obama's name rhymes with Osama!" more than once. They also called him, "That black man..." nice...
Well, this IS Oklahoma. Thank God we don't have many electoral votes.

CNN is finally doing a segment about the wealthiest Americans and how they are now responsible for about half of American purchases. This is what AMERICA gets when it votes against its self interest by supporting Corporate Republicans. Yea, Wal-Mart Republicans, George W. Bush cares about you... just keep telling yourselves that when you struggle to fill your gas tank.

So Osama bin Laden is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican? That sounds about right. I wonder if he'll be invited to speak at their Convention, or he'll just send another grainy videotape. Either way, another big endorsement pick-up for McCain!!

The price of oil shot up three bucks just because a US ship shot at an Iranian speedboat.
When Chimpy and Cheney start the bombing of Iran, get ready for $200 oil and $8 a gallon gas.

Bin Laden must be a Republican. He committed crimes and still runs free. LOL

Question: Is Bin Laden better off now, than he was eight years ago? The high oil price is making Iran, Venezuela, Sudan, and Bin Laden and the rest of Saudis rich like Nazis. These regimes are much stronger under Bush policies, which McCain wants to continue.

Once again, John, may I remind you that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Joe Klein is an idiot. One day on this site, you're calling him one, the next you're using his words to prove a point.
But, I guess I could look at this another way: it just goes to show that even a moron like Joe Klein realizes that Republican rule is good for America's enemies.

John, Joe, et al,
Please write a post about Wright's recent interviews and appearances. I think it's good thing. The wingnuts are all over it. Wonder how they are going to call him a secret Muslim from now on. People of faith are a huge voting block. I am certain Mr Wright's message will be seen positively by the majority of Christians and other faiths as well as atheist too. Mr Wright not only spoke out against racism, but also homophobia and sexism too. It's so ironic that the GOP is demonising a man of Christ as an agent of intolerance.
The GOP are a bizarre bunch!
Fifteen posts at the Corner this morning on the same subject. If only Jeremiah Wright was running for something ... the GOP would have a chance this year. http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily...

Because cable news and right-wing blogs have nothing to discuss except Wright, I learned something. I had no idea that the schism between to the two main Baptist denominations resulted over slavery. Imagine that, pro-slavery Christians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Baptist_C...

It's a wet dream for terrorists to have repugs in office, they can't defeat us militarily and knew it, but they could kill us economically and they are doing a good job. We can't let McCrazy win.

"What the terrorists wanted were hard-nosed right-wing governments that would clamp down on civil liberties as a response to terrorist attacks, thus ticking off the people, causing more social tensions, and pushing the country ever close to exploding internally."
That's the purpose of terrorism or revolutionary struggle. That's no mystery.

Like it or not, the facts are indisputable. The Bush administration stopped making governmental statistics on terrorism available to the general public back in 2005 because they showed that terrorism was actually on the *increase* despite the War On Terror. Does that suggest that Bush was effective at quelling terrorism, or that a second term in office proved itself to be a deterrent to terrorism as so many Bush supporters tried to claim it was and/or would be while he was running? No, it does not -- in fact, it suggests that the reverse was at least equally likely to be true and that the second Bush term may have actually benefitted the terrorists indirectly by increasing the amount of hostility and resentment towards the United States and thus making it easier for terrorist organizations to recruit new members. Is McCain likely to be much different from Bush? If the statements he's made on the campaign trail so far are anything to go on, the answer is an unqualified NO.

What utter nonsense. I suppose not fighting terrorism is the best way to defeat them, or that what theyt really want is someone who will fight back so they can win more easily? Reality check" there have been no attacks on American soil since 2001. There have been multiple attacks in Europe and elsewhere demonstrating that the will to kill still dominates our terrorist enemies. Obviously George Bush has been doing something very right in this regard. To quote the title of the last Clash album: "Cut the crap!"

You are way off base if you think the purpose of terrorism is to win militarily. By the way, there have been terrorist attacks since 9/11. Ask all the people that died from the anthrax attacks.
