AMERICAblog: To paraphrase Ayn Rand: But I don't think of you, Hillary

  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Perhaps everyone in the media should simply ignore her and her minions.Other than her embarassing behavior there is nothing newsworthy about Hillary and Bill.

She lost. It isn't more complicated than that. It never was.

I hate to say this, but Hillary will be taking this fight to the convention. As disgusting as this may be, this woman has no shame and is intent on damaging this party (along with Obama) as much as possible. And here's he link to read:

That's what Rachel Maddow has been saying for weeks now. I hope/pray/beg that it's not the case...
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I have been saying this same thing since March. Something happened to Hillary in early March; her step got springy, her eyes suddenly glistened and bugged out (drugs) and there was something suddenly more hopeful in her mood.

I said then and still stand by it, she made a deal back then, with McCain and the same VRWC that took her husband to task for Monica et al.

Rachel was the only other person I read who seemed to agree about the attitude shift.

If the nominee has already been decided [and I agree Obama won], then would the super delegates PLEASE support the nominee. Because Clinton believes she can still win this, and she isn't leaving the race. Someone needs to tell her she lost asap.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    LeslieB,

I couldn't agree with you more here, but I'm not really sure if the Dem leadership have the cojones to stand up to her. It would probably take a large and well organized group of leadership (including some of her own biggies) but even then I'm not sure that would even stop her.

She WILL go down in history, but certainly not as she hopes!
  • LeslieB · 1 year ago
Senator Reid, Rep. Pelosi and DNC chair Dean have been calling the supers asking them to decide. Pelosi especially has been calling around. Was it Reid who just said the supers had a week left to decide? They're putting on increasing pressure. Clinton's own campaign staff are divided too: half want to continue, half want to quit. Plus she's broke.

But knowing Clinton, she'll probably stay in it past the general election, after Obama has [fingers crossed] won the White House...because you never know when the Democratic nominee/president might get assassinated.

I know, I read all about how the "leadership" has issued a final due date, but let's face it, they haven't exactly been a group of strong legislators and I don't know if they would do what needs to be done.

What is it that needs to be done you ask (LOL, do you?). Well, perhaps putting it to her harshly IF she doesn't abide by the rules, maybe they have to even get rough and threaten to kick her off of key committees or even out of the party if she continues.

It is clear she doesn't have the party's best interests at heart here, she only cares for her own power crazed career. Frankly, I think she will go over to McCain's team in the end.

To state my opinion: Ayn Rand is a cancer on American thought, and has been a useless disease since she was first published.
  • Sugapea · 1 year ago
Maybe they'll pay attention to her now...

Maybe she'll take it to the USSC.
    Just a thought.

    Who's Hillary?
  • Eclectablog · 1 year ago
    Misogynist? Naw. Nazi appeaser. Yup.
  • funknjunk · 1 year ago
Um.... but, but.... but over at No Quarter, they're saying that Obama CAN'T WIN! CAN'T .... WIN ..... Larry Johnson is a super secret agent..... he must be right!!! :-)
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    funknjunk,

I just read that article and I'm a bit nonplussed by it all. I usually always liked what Larry Johnson had to say so this is a surprise. How utterly disgraceful!
  • funknjunk · 1 year ago
Well, i consider myself a "rationalist". Show me evidence, I'm good. Larry's blog is a place for crazies now to hang out. I was called an enemy there because I caucussed for Obama in WA state. I don't know what to say about all the viciousness there. I know that early on there was a little blog temper tantrum thrown because Kos "warned" a couple of his diarists as well as Larry himself that the diaries needed to have more supportive evidence.... after that, they were the great Orange Satan... it's sad.....
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I remember that "warning" and the anger that followed, but I had no idea it has gone to that extent! I just posted in the thread where Larry Johnson spoke about death threats being made to Obama on his site.

This is positively disgraceful conduct no matter WHO is doing it, but having it come from within the same Political Party is horrifying!

It doesn't happen often, but I am speechless at the moment...
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Yeah, Larry Johnson's in the bag for Hillary.

Not sure what job she promised him, but there ya go.

On the whole a sensible position for the superdelegates to take. I have no doubt that, as of today at any rate, Sen. Clinton plans on bringing all this up at the convention where, unless she is able to convince delegates to switch their votes, she will lose.
As to any harm being done; it there is any it is only being done is to the egos of those unable to brook opposition to their choice of candidate. If superdelegates are able to vote for whomever they want then, obviously, they are fully entitled to vote for Sen. Clinton. If Sen. Kerry or Sen. Byrd (both from states that went for Clinton) can cast their ballots for someone their states rejected, then any superdelegate from any state can vote for Sen. Clinton. Situational ethics, anyone?
If the Democratic candidate is unable to convince a majority of citizens between the convention and election day that voting for McCain is the same as voting for GWB, then we deserve to lose. I can't see either candidate doing that.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
This is good new:) I was thinking this, and this puts the icing on the cake.
  • BillP · 1 year ago
So I am to believe that those "super" delegates have already decided that the Obama/McCain race is the most important, but they are still in the "uncommitted" category? They are letting Ms. Clinton stay in the race, even though they are not paying attention to her?

    HELLO????

    BP
  • vwcat · 1 year ago
I wonder what Hillary's rabid supporters did after that little exchange. Too bad more reporters are not telling them the truth about how no one but, them, are paying attention to Hillary anymore.

Hillaryites think math is biased like rapture bunnies think gravity is biased
  • CARbiker · 1 year ago
So why isn't the Washington Post writing THAT story?? Uh, the reason why the paper isn't paying attention to the SD's is a story in itself!!?! Helloo!!
