Not to sound crass, but Hillary's trajectory in Chart 3 reminds me of the Challenger shuttle disaster.
  • Nutjob · 1 year ago
so when does she concede to this?
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
Can we please just be rid of her already? She's a great politician and all, but this race is over!

Pretty discustng. Almost as bad as some sexist site that would award "Monicas" as an attack on Clinton with pictures of the young lady with her mouth wide open. No, come to think of it, its about the same.

Last Minnesota Superdelegate hints he'll pick Obama:

Rep. Collin Peterson, Minnesota's last remaining undecided superdelegate, hinted on Minnesota Public Radio that he may pick Sen. Barack Obama, but he wants to get the farm bill wrapped up before he makes the decision.

"Sen. Obama won my district by a pretty good margin. So that'll be heavily weighted in my decision," Peterson said on Tuesday.

Out of 14 Minnesota superdelegates, only three have promised support for Sen. Hillary Clinton

Hillbots have demonstrated that they have a hard enough time trying to do simple addition and subtraction. Now you expect them to understand colorful charts and graphs? Their squeeky little bubbleheads are going to pop right open.

"I have all the momentum! Did I mention I'm white?"-Hillary to superdelegates
  • mathgeek · 1 year ago
The pledged delegate count shown in graph 1 really illustrates how devastating it was to the Clinton campaign that they were not prepared to compete in the 11 contests in February after Super Tuesday. After Ohio/Texas on March 4 the difference in their delegates doesn't change much - all the distance between the two curves happens between Feb. 5 and March 4.

Her campaign was brought down by arrogance and lack of preparation - the same things that brought us down into the hole in Iraq with Bush.

Good. I hope this trend continues for him. Talkleft had a disturbing post yesterday about the percentage of the white vote that clinton has won so far. I hope these numbers don't carry over into the general...

What time do the polls in Racistville close?
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
The trend is clear but the gap between Obama and Hillary isn't as wide as I thought it would be. That will change, of course, but it helps me understand why Hillary hasn't dropped out yet.
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
Clearly, these graphs show the American people want Hillary to be the candidate.

I am hoping with all my might that obama somehow sticks it to hillary in west virginia. Because if she does pull out a 80-20 blow out, the only thing it will do is widen the wound between supporters and make it harder to transition when its time.

If you're on a rooftop, and want to jump from one roof to another, does it matter if the roofs are 100 ft apart or 1000? The issue isn't the magnitude of the distance, but the fact that the distance has already reached the point where trying to bridge the gap is all but impossible.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Good analysis. It really comes into focus though when you consider the debt Hillary incurred compared to "0" for Obama.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Hillary is bursting at the seems to tell the world why she "really" thinks she's the better candidate and Obama can't win in November.
  • crsmoke · 1 year ago
Of course what they are missing would be a chart that would show polling data on head to head match up with McCain, which is kind of the point of an endorsing convention, to endorse someone that can win in November.

Currently that number would be Clinton 280 McCain 241 or Obama 237 McCain 290. For those who don't care about the electoral votes, that is what will matter in the fall and 270 is the number we are looking to beat. www.electoral-vote.com

The interesting thing of course is to see those kind of numbers when the media is swooning for Obama and chastising Clinton. Imagine what the will look like in the fall.

Trens, schmends! White folks, hard-working white people, won't vote for him in November! Obama's victory by all measurable criteria only happened because non-white, non-hard-working people voted for him and they outnumber the Hillary supporters, who are whiter and harder-working than average.
