AMERICAblog: Troops Deployed Abroad Give 6:1 to Obama over McCain

  • FFGeekBlog · 1 year ago
Wow indeed. Obama should be mentioning this fact in every speech from now until November.
  • Dianne_in_DC · 1 year ago
Could be because McCain is salivating at going to war with Russia over Georgia. See Andrew Sullivan today for a good write up.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
only makes sense that if you're a soldier and you're thinking about voting, you'd vote for someone that supports
the troops and wants to end this war.

which is what messes with my head about gay repugnicans... WTF?!? why would you vote against
    your best interests?

case in point, the owner of Manhunt.net? gay and republican... AND a john mccain donor.

guys? if you're gay and cruising? don't use Manhunt... the idea of john mccain making money
off the backs of gay men is ironic, but disgusting.

Crazy dittoheads are murdering us now. This is how it begins, folks.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Like someone else wrote: Wingnuts, you are the dinosaurs, we are the meteor. Deal with it.

They're washed up and finished forever so expect them to become increasingly unhinged and violent toward us.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
EXACTLY. Funny, but I've been waiting on an UPDATE via cable "TeeVee news" on the Democratic Chairman, Bill Gwatney, in Arkansas getting shot by
Republican terrorist all day. Seems the Republican terrorist got fired from his Target job for writing graffiti
on a wall. I'd love to see what he wrote. It was either:

    A. "for a good bj call ..." his phone number
    B. George Bush for President 2008!
    C. Some kind of nasty graffiti about Democrats, Barack Obama or something using the N- word.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/13/arkans...

I don't live that far from Searcy, and you can BET that clown that killed Gwatney was a dittohead. You see
his type everywhere around here. In fact, I got my big Democratic yard signs next to highway ripped
down. It didn't look like the signs were ripped down, but torn down and stomped on.

Thanks, Republicans and George Bush, for all but starting a civil war here in the United States!

I remember when Democrats and Republicans used to join hands and say we are all Americans.
Bu$hco. has destroyed all that. Its injuriating to read the story, and realize that Rush Limbaugh listening
wingnut got busted writing stupid graffiti at his dead end job then went on a shooting rampage to
    kill Democrats. Typical, but outrageous!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
How ironic. Republican dittohead, who lost dead end job, kills Democratic party chairman who fought for his minimum wage hike!

When asked at Hell's gate, before being thrown in lake of fire, why he killed the chairman of the Democratic Party,
the Arkansas wingnut dittohead replied, "He was a socialist communist pig and caused me to get fired at Target
cause my hero Rush Limbaugh said so!"

I fully expect them to blame gays for the coming economic collapse. I mentioned that a couple of years ago on another blog and people there got mad. But they're not going to blame themselves and they'll want an excuse to steal our things just like the nazis.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Well, you just all be safe out there. I knew this was coming and it's going to get worse.
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
WAY before Bu$hCo, unless you count Gingrich and Reagan as Bushies. They're the ones who first started demonizing liberals.
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
No wonder the VA is fighting so hard to keep its patients from registering to vote.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
It wasn't even unsurprising that the EPA offices in Dallas had a developmentally disabled person working the phone. Isn't that just like them to do? My city isn't small and should have EPA offices here instead of 250 miles away.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
    surprising, rather
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
The republicans are that the people can just eat shit and die.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
And the developmentally disabled person feels really important but just transfers you to the answering machine of a bush appointed crony. You can leave your name and number but they wont call back.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
And now the corporations, i.e., Bushco (Rove & Cheney) are trying to suppress their votes.

In the minds of Busho - Greed over Freedom.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I'm sure cheney would argue that as 'Government property' (I.E. US military), their votes are whatever the president wants their votes to be.

  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
As a veteran, I see lots of veterans at the VA Hospital.

Veterans are getting sick and tired of Republicans saying they "support the troops!" then
when it comes to votes they are NEVER THERE for the troops or the vets.

Veterans are starting to realize if they want benefits they better vote Democratic!
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
The only reason them seemed to support repukes is because they didn't want fags like us in the military.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Ya know, I'm actually seeing a sea change in that attitude. I was discharged for being gay, myself. I wanted to make the military my career.
The military is starting to realize gays and lesbians ARE SOME OF THE BEST military members and they can't afford to lose
    our talent.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
If they had a division of only gays, you know it would be far and away the best in the military.
  • hardeknox · 1 year ago
My brother-in-law, the fearless Army band member loves him that McCain. He also is sorta convinced that the planet is 6000 years old.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Let me guess. His weapon of choice is a clarinet!
  • LasloPratt · 1 year ago
I guess that means McCain will now be accusing the troops of hating the troops.

Probably not. But don't be surprised if a drug-addled gasbag who shall remain nameless casually opines that these are not "real soldiers."
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
    drug-addled gasbag

Can't guess who you could mean. That could apply to so many on the right side of the isle. <g>
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
I guess that means McCain will now be accusing the troops of hating the troops.

Yep! It's true, true, true! The troops want us to lose the war. They are traitors and should therefore not be trusted. They should be brought home immediately as it is a war we can't win given that our own troops want us to lose.

Let the US military have a gay division like a black division during WWII and compare its effectiveness. I bet it would far surpass any regular troops. They probably no doubt would be too afraid to have that fact established to do it.
  • jr · 1 year ago
    "the troops are exotic"-Cokie Roberts
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
The troops are elitist anyway, they are always going off to exotic foreign places.
Actually they should love McCain , he wants to make sure that they see countries like Iran, Russia and of course he wants to make sure that they hit all of the exotic spots in Iraq for years and years to come.
  • Sungam · 1 year ago
So though Obama 'doesn't support the troops', it does rather sound like they support him.
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
Let's hope, no, let's work to make sure their votes are counted.
