AMERICAblog: Trump on CNBC: Big Oil "ripping off this country"

  • jr · 1 year ago
we need a new Truman commission to prosecute these war profiteers. Oil is over 100 dollars a barrel more than before the war
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Trump can sometimes hit the nail right on the head.

I remember him saying about Condi Rice: "Her job is to make deals and she never comes back with a deal."
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    OT:

Obama ahead in Pennsylvania, Ohio and.....drum roll.......Florida.

Trump's right, even if he is only speaking out of jealousy.

    OT:

North Carolina showing "swing state" numbers.

Chimpy McFlightsuit the oil baron just spoke about how the Dems are at fault because they won't let his Houston golfing buddies drill in ANWAR. Puh fuckin leez. Where are the electric cars? Where is the expansion of mass transit? Oh fuck no. We can't have that. I mean Chimpy's little boys club needs it's obscene profits. I hope to god Obama is elected and Congress is Dem and we can begin to fix this mess instead of using old ideas which will only run out of supply anyway.

BQID now gets on his bike to ride over to the light rail to run errands.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Ahh, I had the exact figures last time they started bitching about that, but lost them.

Anyway, as I recall, ANWAR wouldn't produce a drop of oil for like 10 to 15 years, and then it would only be like a year's worth of our current consumption......meaning, it would have no effect on prices.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
true, however... big oil would get ALL sorts of $$$ from the government (read: us) for drilling in ANWAR.

chimpy simply wants to make sure the profit margin for his buddies is as good in 10/15 years as it is today.

I'm thinking of a term that this administration loves: no bid contracts.

    /snark

i heard something like that too...

it would take 20 years to get the oil and then it would reduce gas prices by one cent per gallon.

big effin whoop. keep alaska wild.

Extortion by Big Oil so they can change public opinion to drill where ever they want to.
  • dad · 1 year ago
let US not forget that we are spending $150,000.00 - 175,000.00 a minute in Iraq to secure their profits.

OT... but I had to post this... on Cindy McCain's cookie recipie from yesterday:

From the Wonkette comments on Cindy’s cookie recipe:

I do not know what all the fuss is about. I made Cindy’s cookies and they were GREAT! They were so good, I had to have another batch right away! Pretty soon they were all I could think about… I stopped going to work…. I stopped bathing and my teeth went rotten… I started blowing truckers for $15 so I could afford more and more delicious cookies…

And then the spiders started crawling under my skin…

There should be few if any doubts about who Bush and Cheney have been working for.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Oh please. Donald "I consider myself to be a great capitalist" Trump is ever the opportunist. How many SUVs and limos does he own? Are his "troops" getting itchy? Is he afraid the great unwashed masses will invade Trump Tower or one of his other properties? Anyone squatting there? Do you think he really has any sympathy for people he can't make money from?

Never have sympathy for these assholes. Ever. Like someone said below, he's just jealous...and must be ready to get rid of his current wife. Or her, him, more than likely.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Actually, Trump might be privy to something we're not. He's a major player, like me..lol...and he knows the effect this is going to have on his money.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Then he says Obama will raise taxes. Yes, he will raise YOUR taxes Donald.

    Not mine.
