AMERICAblog: Trying to quell uproar over the firing of Arlington Cemetery official who supported families of war dead, Army Secretary asks for "internal review"

  • yellowelephant · 1 year ago
If Arlington Cemetery Deputy Superintendent Thurman Higginbotham personally knew any enlisted servicemembers or junior officers - those most at risk in combat, he would allow their families to make their own decision, in peace, whether to invite the media to cover the funeral.

the Pravdaization of the armed services is disgusting. Miltiary brass fiending for the pillowy embrace of Bush's man-boobs

It's been so long since the MSM has reported on the subject, they've forgotten what the face of war looks like.

That is exactly what the media needs to be showing every night on the news. Just like VN. Bush should be ashamed of himself going golfing while our soldiers and civilians are dying. If they show this maybe those republicans who support this war might have second thoughts because the troops and tired and need relief. Where are they going to get the troops? DRAFT baby. Then watch people protest in the street.

Funny. . .I thought "internal reviews" are supposed to happen BEFORE you fire someone - not after the fact. So much for the Army defending "our" freedoms.

Believe me they will white wash this just like everythingelse. I hope she sues and wins. My father and mother are buried there. I find it a lovely place for veterans. This young lady was an Iraq Vet. This isn't right to treat her like this. She is right on target. I know some people would welcome the media because they want that soldier honored right. They should be able to do it if they want it. If you don't want the media than you have a right also. Make it up to each family. American people are not stupid. Bush is.

This is totally outrageous. Arlington Cemetary belongs to the people who are buried there and their families. The govt has NO RIGHT to tell the families how to honor their dead.

I hope the next administration cleans out all these Fourth Reich lackeys for good, and don't let the door hit them in the ass...
