At least some people are doing well in the Bush/McCain economy. I just read where the dreaded repo men are having one of their best years ever. And it's going to get worse folks!

You know...this and other warnings almost sound fearful. The time for fear is over. To paraphrase some chimp, "bring it on".

You know what I mean. DON'T let us run or help this campaign from a base of fear of what those pig-fuckers will throw at us. I hope they get nasty as shit. I hope they show that nasty messed up side to the whole USA, because I for one think many people are finally starting to climb out of thier spider holes and get sick to death of the fear mongering, the bullshit "war on terror". Some people are putting this in perspective, and realizing that the GOP is only offering more of the soul-killing fear dwelling, planet killing same, AND it is becoming finally undeniably obvious that their goal is to privatize profits (to their buddies, not to US) and socialize risk.

We have in the past let them get away with the Horton crapola, but guess what, it's the "war AND the economy, stupid". STAY on those two issues. If they try and get off them, put it back on, because that is what most folk care about....in reverse order. Economy first, war second unfortunately. But the two are related as the war is running up a bill the nation can't pay.

Let em show their nastiest...then expose it for the bereft of ideas, bull that it is, in clear easy to understand terms.

Sometimes the good guys get to win you know....

At the end she's breathing from Mother Africa to you to help you. That's a gift from her. Lift your right hand up in the air and take it.

You must let the rain fall on you. Don't try to avoid it. It's a good thing.

He's got nothing to offer the American people.

Nope! He's got one thing that may very well be all he needs to win. No other contests in 2008 are in play, the Democrats are going to swamp the Republicans, but the presidential election is a toss-up because of his one vast, overwhelming qualification, he is a honkey running against a N----.

HBO's "Generation Kill": They're a generation! They kill! They're Generation Kill!
They don't know shit about the Islamic world, they can't speak the language of the people, they listen to heavy metal as they blow the place up, they scream "Motherfucker!" at women and children, but, gosh darn it, they're American boys, so they're really just cute, unruly puppies and aren't they heroes?

You bet it is going to get dirty. That's why Obama is moving to the center - he has to be as "mainstream" and non-threatening as possible to get the lowbrow vote.

Before this is over, they are going to try to paint him as a Muslim Terrorist/South Chicago Pimp with a dangerous radical/welfare queen wife and a crazy Black Power minister. It would actually be hilarious if it weren't so serious.

So my suggestion would be for all of us - even those of us who are a bit concerned about some of his views - just shut up and smile: Even if he turns out to be a Clinton, he's still so much better than McCain, for so many practical reasons.

And don't forget that McCain is a double threat: Anyone who looks at him can tell he's seriously ill, and perhaps not up to the job mentally as well. It's his VP candidate we have to worry about.
