don't let the comic book lawyer get to you.

large lead in June, great candidate and the mood is ripe.

my guess is Bloomberg will be his V.P. and the middle will be ours. mccain has no base. he's lost himself. he stands for nothing.

if we work hard, fight fair and never doubt, we will win.

Our Great Nation depends on it.

This issue of self-doubt is critical. We have every reason to be confident. Sen. Obama has already defeated a great political machine. He and we can defeat the old, worn and failed republican tools. He and we are strong and smart, and right. This is the time. This is the candidate. This is US.

    Smile and fight!

A big smear against Barry? Unlikely because HillBilly is FAR better at that than any of the assholes in the GOP, with the exception of Karlita Rove. Unless there is some stupid little blow job or butt fuck somewhere in junior high school I would say Barry has been fairly well vetted. They are desperate

No fear. The media can't handle change and isn't about to adjust. Expect more Charlie Gibsons pontificating, not less. After the election if McCain's cohorts fumble their way into the Electoral College, the media will smile upon the little people and sit-coms will return. If reality triumphs and the People carry Obama to electoral victory, the media will explain in astonishing detail how such an upset victory was possible only because of certain dubious doings in precincts on the south side of Chicago. Expect reruns of "The Jeffersons" on cable and heavy advertising for tanning salons. Notice Gore's fresh new deep tan? Charlie Crist's is better, but Charlie has more experience with truly bright sun in a truly subtropical setting. We don't need tanning salons in Florid'oh, although they're available for tourists upon request. But I digress . . .

    Conservative and liberal economists agree.

McCain's plan to lower gas costs by drilling is a joke.

Way way OT but very interesting...in today's NYT there is an article about an obscenity case in Florida. It is interesting because the defense is using Google stats to show that "community standards" are total crap: what a jury will say is porn does not line up with what they are surfing on their PCs at home. Down here in Jesusland we have heard for years that they love to rent gay fuck flix while also making sure anti gay laws are in place. Anyway here is the link

We need to be more than ready to do battle - we need to be capable of confronting the media at every turn on this issue. Even my local newspaper has already shown us how this campaign is shaping up - for months, every column they have published by Coulter, Charen and most of Parkers attacks Obama on some level. Few of them defend or even mention McCain, relying on a chorus of Obama attacks as the constant, weekly drumbeat strategy.

The Right does not operate as a collection of independent entities. Most of their pundits echo each other, often with surprising replication, and nothing is as loudly repeated as the falsehood, innuendo, or outright lie.

Most of the time when I can stomach Abrams for more than a few minutes, I wonder if he's auditioning for TMZ! That bit yesterday speculating on the effect some book will/might have when it comes out in a couple of months was mind numbing. And that righter than right neocon analyst guy - doesn't he have a real job somewhere other than on the Verdict set?
