Maybe he should move to Utah, although this could require a change of underwear.

ah, the party of traditional family values!
just cry and apologize but never resign.
  • kdawg1012 · 1 year ago
I wonder where he stands on "family values". Another Republican hypocrite!
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
The most important thing is--who is running as a Dem? Let's hope this asshole Fossella never sees the inside of a public building again.

I think it's very interesting that the Staten Island Italian community continues to show support for this creep.

If the people of his district reelect this so called family values hypocrite than they are just as hypocritical as he is. He should be forced out of office. If a Democrat does this than all hell breaks loose by the family values group. I'm sick and tired of these so called family values group that insist they are the only ones with values. I have a gay son who would love to marry his partner of 10 years but can't. He is a professor at a NY University and it's guys like Fossella that are stopping him from having his own relationship recognized by the state.

"I left Carol so you could cheat on your wife"-John McCain to Vito

If Larry Craig was allowed to stay in the Senate, why shouldn't this guy run for reelection. The voters will decide.

And to vickif: Thank Mayor of NYC for not signing the gay marriage bill! And yet...gays bend over for Mayor Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, 5,000 people said to have died in Sichuan province in China earthquake, 5 more schools buried, 2 chemical plant collapses (80% of bldgs in the province destroyed or partially destroyed), with 20 tons of ammonia released.

And the Three Gorges Dam was only built to withstand a 7.0 earthquake, this was at least a 7.8, and former earthquakes have already caused cracks in the dam, which by itself is considered by some geologists to cause earthquakes in the region. Shocks were felt in Beijing, Vietnam and Thailand, and probably Burma as well since it's border is with China's Yunnan province, also heavily affected..

This is a huge disaster for China and since airports are closed to journalists, only reports from Chinese govt will probably be forthcoming.

Well, I'm just sick to death of their lousy "family values"! Is there a single rethug who isn't a mass adulterer? I guess the real question should be, how many rethugs are even paying attention? Just like John McCain with his little lobbyist sweet tart, they refuse to acknowledge it, and it will go away! It's about time we hold these hypocrites accountable!
  • vickif · 1 year ago
Monrocsol-my son doesn't live in NYC,. The governor and state legislature is where a gay marriage bill has to be signed for the whole state not just a city.

It's being said on MSNBC that Obama mentioned the Keating 5 over the weekend--and it's fair game. One would think so, considering they're vetting Obama's "Muslim" childhood and other ancient history which has nothing to do with his clean slate as a real adult. And, perhaps Obama should vet McCrazy's real religious affiliations during the last 20 years as well as his embrace of Hagee, Parsley, Robertson and other morons.

Unleash the real truth about McCrazy! We already know the truth about the Clintons, which has revealed itself, and Obama has conducted his campaign regarding another Dem with grace and restraint, unlike his rival.

If he's dumb enough to run again, I'd love to see his soon-to-be-ex-wife run against him. She'd get the house, the kids, AND his job.

Tom Allen, Dem running for Senate in Maine, just endorsed Obama.

MSM finally acknowledges Obama ahead in SDs...

Vito needed a second family waiting in the wings in case legalized gay marriage destroyed his traditional marriage. Any good Republican understands that. If Mr. Fossella can find a way to blame the gays for his drunk driving, he'll be a shoe-in for re-election.

I live in his district, and this seems to be a replay of the story running since Friday in other news organizations in New York. Many of us on Staten Island can only hope it's true, but I think the jury's still out until Vito says something himself.

Vito is the only Republican congressman in NYC and represents a district that, while not displaying the conservative values of most of rural America, are nonetheless true Reagan Democrats (there are more registered Dems on Staten Island than Republicans, and SI has the densest Union membership demographic) and have returned this mobster (sic) to the house 6 times.

Here's a link to my diary at Kos exploring this a little further. There you will find links to web sites that support the Democratic challenger Steve Harrison , a progressive that ran against Fossella in '06,

Nothing would help the candidacy of Harrison more than Vito staying in. Mind you, he still has a lot of support from his meathead base as evidenced by comments on the local newspaper's political forum, but I think this garbage is just to much for him to overcome this time.

    Bring it on, Vito!

    Which family?

Depends on which syndicate he's a member of.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
yep. Vito shuns his gay sister.
    what a turd.
