AMERICAblog: Two sets of state polls show movement for Obama

I tend to be skeptical of polls because a light sneeze sometimes changes them. But let's hope the trend in this one stays.

One more increase in activity and that would be Johnny Macs eyelid twitching.

Of course as we already know, it's not the amount of votes a candidate receives, it's the number of votes the voting machines give him. Or take from him.

Never underestimate the dishonesty of the republican party.

"Never underestimate the dishonesty of the republican party."

    Ain't that the sad truth.

i will settle for a close victory, and properly counted votes.
if Obama wins handily, we may all be partying for weeks!

It may be a hard rock candy Christmas because of the economy but a sweet one with Obama as President.

Five weeks is such a long time! I guess this is where we pray, hope, light candles, do good deeds, work on campaigns, and make contributions, and cross fingers and pray some more! The alternative is just not an option!

What does it matter if the Dems aren't going to do anything about voter purging by the Republicans? Like to see more coverage here on what cbsnews is reporting http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/30/eveni...

Notice that with the exception of Pennsylvania, the reason why Obama gains is because his numbers go up, but McCain's numbers stay the same. Based on these polls, and the others I have seen, I'd guess that McCain has a baseline support of 40-42%, and Obama has a baseline support of 42-45%. The remaining are people who want change but wonder if Obama represents too much change. To that end, the strong debate performance convinced them that Obama can do the job, at least for now.

The month of October should be focused on making sure all November votes are counted accurately. The Constitution demands it.

Obama has to lead solidly by greater than 5% (at least) or the election is stealable. Especially in a state that has a Republican secretary of state. In those cases, he needs closer to 10%.

Republicans have stealing elections down to an art form.

Expect the break away to continue all the way to the election of Barack Obama as President.
