AMERICAblog: UN food programs for children facing massive cutbacks

Heartbreaking, but perfectly understandable, given who's saying it. The un-publicly-spoken message:

    a. Tough darts, kids!
    b. Your parents can't vote for us, much less you little folk
    c. Your parents breed like bunnies, thanks in part to the global gag rule, so what's a few million kids fewer?
    "Population control," right?
    d. We used to bomb Cambodia, and most of the GOP turned a blind eye to Pol Pot as well. So
what is the Greatest Nation on Earth (TM) doing giving FREE breakfast to Cambodian kids?

And on and on. Suddenly I've lost appetite for my breakfast...

I am confused here. I thought the USA was now run by Jesus. I mean Jesus was running things as of the last election, wasn't he? This is puzzling. I thought the whole gospel was about healing the sick and feeding the poor or something like that. Oh wait. That may be what the Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek scrolls say. But Benny Hinn, Pat Roberston and Jerry Falwell had it retranslated to "Fuck the poor, and stop gay marriage."

This is terrible foreign, monetary and trade policy for the US as well. We've seen how trade policies have decimated the poor in Mexico and Central America, shoved them out to coming teeming over our border, but also bringing the opportunists as well, the criminals, the gangs.

These kinds of policies must be stopped--and we have a chance to do that in Nov. because we are going into a worldwide depression--after all, the poor in every country feel the effects much faster than the well off who make those policies. Only a complete overhaul of this country's policies in many areas, and in other western countries, and pushing reforms in dictatorial countries can stop this dangerous train. Humans are not commodities, but they are treated more often than not as such because of these policies.
