Ms. Lincoln, "Besides the character assassination, how was the play?" ;-)

Blanche does what Wal-Mart tells her to.
And if Wal-Mart decides it's sick of providing health benefits (or doesn't want to afford it), she'll get on board.

As much as I hate Wal-Mart's practices, we need their clout and that of large companies like them if we are to have a chance at getting a public option for health care. On this issue, I say 'GO Wal-Mart!'

It is morally repugnant to profit off the misery or ill health of Americans. It's criminal that medical bills to private for-profit MEDICAL/INSURANCE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX make up 62% of all bankruptcies filed in the U.S. each year. The overhead at private for-profit MEDICAL/INSURANCE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX is upwards of 35% of the healthcare dollar spent each year in the U.S. This allows the private for-profit MEDICAL/INSURANCE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX to pay for their lavish lifestyles and huge salaries plus perks and bonuses. All the while milking the hard-working men/women of this great nation of their hard earned money. On the other hand Medicare has an overhead of 2%, Canada's system is 1.5%, Europe's 2.5% on average. The money that could be saved by eliminating the private for-profit MEDICAL/INSURANCE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX is estimated at $500 Billion a year. Enough money to help pay for putting all Americans on MEDICARE/SINGLE PAYER TYPE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
We have to fight back and call, write e-mails, letters-to-editors and to Congress to let them know how Americans feel about for-profit health care in America. Here are some Senators who are wrong on Health Care reform. Give them a call and demand, "MEDICARE/SINGLE PAYER HEALTHCARE FOR ALL NOW!"

One down a whole bunch more to go. Nothing rattles the Congress more than voters ringing the phones off the hook. Call the House, Senate and the White House and demand, "MEDICARE/SINGLE PAYER HEALTHCARE FOR ALL NOW!"

She's very good at speaking out of both sides or her mouth. This recent move has more to do with Wal-Mart and other large businesses in the state, than some bloggers no one has ever heard of. Why do you think she no longer supports Card Check legislation? She knows where the votes (and campaign cash) will come from. No one to the left of her will win the election and probably not even a primary. The Democratic Party of Arkansas is probably one of the most conservative in the country.
Further as someone who grew up in Southeast Arkansas that was not an insult to many of us. Arkansas is very diverse culturally and geographically. Northwest Arkansas (the Republican stronghold) has very little in common with the rest of the state and many people I know back home joke they need a passport to go visit there, much less somewhere like California or New York. Whether you like it or not the South is still a bit backwards.

One would think they would like a little help with their health care. I hope they aren't too backward or too partisan to see the benefit in it only to reject it because the democrats are introducing it to Congress.

Call, write, email, it all has a little bit of pressure. The only thing that makes a difference is huge numbers of pissed off taxpayers contacting these corporatists and telling them what they want. Gang up on them, because the white house isn't going to do the hard work.

Figures she would turn around at some people. If Wal-Mart wants it, so will Lincoln and Pryor.

"But yar, Blanche, yar in that seat."
It's hard down here, folks...
