AMERICAblog: UPDATE: McCain lied about only buying American cars all his life

  • Busboy · 1 year ago
We should pillory McCain and break all the bones that the Viet Cong forgot to break because of their woeful ignorance of anatomy....
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
and people like busboy will vote for the next pair of dim bulbs and Rove will keep running things.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
tls, it's like trying to find the "least" rotten apple in the basket. I'm going to work tomorrow. How bout you?
Have a great week, dear, and don't hurt anyone without cause... ;-)...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
only if you swear not to vote for mcCain and sarah the wolfkiller.
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
Just saw the McSame commercial where he says "I've fought tougher guys than this." Really? And who won THAT fight?
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
G.I. Joe might be confused but not liar. Caribou Barbie, on the other hand, is not confused. That makes her a liar.
  • nappy_rash · 1 year ago
Yes but over here in Europe our cars are so much better (mostly), do you blame him?
  • martha · 1 year ago
No one cares. Obama is black, McCain is a POW and Sarah Is a mom. I am so discouraged. This country is so fucked, and the rich. the poor, and the middle class don't care.
  • martha · 1 year ago
...and Mika, Joe, Tom Brokaw, Bill O'Reilly, Murdoch, - all the people that own the airwaves - they really don't care.

JOHN! Stop the freaking rollercoaster! Answer this question before you move on to the next freaking post!

How can a crisis "happen" and 2 days later Bush has a comprehensive bill to rewrite the entire financial and banking regulations that have have been accumulated for the past 100 years?

    Somebody answer the question.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
    that's a damn good question.
i think this "bailout" has been ready for quite awhile.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
the same way that Sept. 11, 2001 was such a surprise, but within hours they had 19 faces and names up on the screen identified as those responsible.... the same way that a few days later the Patriot Act was presented to congress to vote on...

The short answer is, yes they have known about this for some time..(or they should have known -- there have been folks out there with much less information predicting this would happen for the last couple of years) and waited till the most "opportune time" to present this "fix"...

That's why I continue to say its not a conspiracy, its an agenda!!!!!
  • catdance · 1 year ago
It is indeed an agenda. And they're freaking out to get it pushed through before November.

If you want to solve it, forgive the mortgages.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago

  • Busboy · 1 year ago
A lot of repubs and democrats have seen this shit being sucked into the rotor blades for years. They tried to write legislation to reform a corrupt semi/governmental financial group of institutions for years. However, repubs and democrats on the oversight committees were getting millions in lobbyist donations to look the other way. These are chickens "coming home to roost". Excuse me, Rev. Wright, for palgiarizing......

Phil Gramm started it Busboy. McCain is Gramms rent boy.
No amount of stammering can change that.
  • lynn47 · 1 year ago
The foreign cars were made by POW's for God's sake!! What is the problem here.
  • therepguy · 1 year ago
The one thing that the last 8 year has taught me is that by and large republicans and there neo-con/christian/fascist enablers have a strong leaning in the direction of out right serial liars... must be due to the excessive inbreeding among their kind!
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Well, at least no one can tag you with that genie........
  • Vince in Cedar Rapids · 1 year ago
It might be easier if we start keeping track of the things he is truthful about as it would be a much shorter list.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    short enough not to exist

The 'new' McCain campaign team lost this election for Johnny boy.

They should have learned from the fight with Hillary that negative campaigning does not work on Mr. Obama. The dirty series just brought Rovian politics to the public mind, and miraculously, this time the media followed. They reported maybe, those things were not true, ya know?

Bible Spice/ WALNTS! who could possibly think these two are competent enough to run this country?
    Even conservatives are recoiling.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
True Hillary tried the experience route, when that failed she changed to change, just like mcasshole.
  • Webster · 1 year ago
I'm just surprised he remembered how many cars he has.

The right is as mad as the left. Newt Gingrich today:

It's time to end the silence and clear up the confusion.

Congress has an obligation to protect the taxpayer.

Congress has an obligation to limit the executive branch to the rule of law.

Congress has an obligation to perform oversight.

Congress was designed by the Founding Fathers to move slowly, precisely to avoid the sudden panic of a one-week solution that becomes a 20-year mess.

There are four major questions that have to be answered before Congress adopts a new $700 billion burden for the American taxpayer. On each of these questions, I believe Congress's answer will be "no" if it slows down long enough to examine the facts."

Sign the petition. Call your Senators and Congressperson and Pelois and Reid.

This is an election year...and there are too many necks on the line to risk totally enraging the electorate. Sign the petition. Make the calls. It will matter.

Maybe it was pre-cognition? Spain may actually be in Latin America before long.... ?
Aren't they required, by international and pontifical law, to protect the land grant estates?
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
Well, many cars are built here, even though ownership is foreign; so I'm betting that even if he buys a Volkswagon or a Toyota he'll squiggle around and say "but it's American made".
  • MikeHol · 1 year ago
What McCain meant to say was he has only bought cars 'in America' because when he was a POW the North Vietnamese wouldn't let him own a car.
  • KeithNovo · 1 year ago
Under Reaganomics, I've bought a used Renault Gordini in 1986, which lasted six months. Otherwise, I've owned no other car in the 24 years since I received my MBA from Penn State. I don't even know what to do with a car anymore, and I cannot afford one in any case. Reaganomics and its scions of Bushomics and Schrubomics, are a terrible disease. Therefore, the tired old man should have my problem, then he'd remember the kind of car he owns!

" The new McCain has either decided to jettison his honor overboard, or is quite literally beginning to lose his mind."

John McCain "jettisoned his honor" several weeks ago. I think he did it right around the time when he traded his soul to win the Presidency. I HAVE to believe that all of his lies, and stumbles and bumbles are because of his age, or as you said, some illness. The John McCain that everyone loved for years and years could not knowingly be railroaded into all this sleaze if he were in his right mind. I know that's a terrible thing to say, but it's either that or this is a real-life version of "The Body Snatchers". In fact, he's becoming a parody of himself lately, and seems to be completely oblivious to it. That somewhere in his brain, it's saying to him "everybody else is wrong about everything, and don't you dare question my authority on any of it."

I won't lie to you, I'm 100% an Obama supporter and will definitely vote for him in November, but I can still be worried about John McCain. I've always admired him and his life story. I even thought a couple of years ago that if he ran for POTUS sometime, I'd even vote for him. (but that was before I got to know more about Barack Obama.) So, having not knon him personally, I thought I had a pretty good idea what kind of man he was. Now, I'm wondering if all that was a lie too.
