Don't forget the Senator all America loves to hate, Senator Inhofe! Oklahoma Veterans rip into him and endorse Andrew Rice to become Oklahoma's next U.S. Senator:

Exclusive: Obama Campaign's Secret Internal Memo on Candidate Image

Chicago (Rooters) -- "Rooters has obtained an internal memo from Barack Obama's presidential campaign directing staff members in how to arrange photo opportunities for Sen. Obama, and the do-and-don'ts in proper behavior at all events in order to promote the image desired by the campaign.

The memo titled, "Presenting the Proper Image of the Candidate to the Public," includes the following guidelines for campaign advance staff:

    For background behind podium:
    1) No visible brass knuckles.
    2) No headscarves.
    3) Chicago Dems are to have all large bills stuffed completely in their pockets, not carelessly hanging out.
    4) Make sure Dick Durbin is not wearing his bib.
    5) Do not wear flag pin unless it is okayed by senior staff -- these decisions will be fluid.
    6) No Cub hats.

Rules for behavior at all events:
    1) Anyone caught shaking done anyone -- for any reason -- will be required to hand over 25% of all proceeds to union reps on site.
    2) Keep Rahm Emanuel away from all deli meat slicers.
    3) Do not assume Chicago city workers know how to 'pretend to be working,' as some have never even had to do that. Keep them busy. Donuts work.
    4) Positively no Fitzgerald impersonations around Gov. Blagojevich.
    5) No bragging about 'invisible ink' ballot pens.
    6) Police union reps are not allowed to issue parking tickets to dignitaries.
    7) Limit Polish jokes to two per hour."

“Democrats are not going to be lectured to on security by the mayor who failed to learn the lessons of the 1993 attacks, refused to prepare his own city’s first responders for the next attack, urged President Bush to put his corrupt crony in charge of our homeland security, and was too busy lobbying for his foreign clients to join the Iraq Study Group,” DNC spokeswoman Karen Finney said. “Rudy Giuliani, can echo the McCain campaign’s false and misleading attacks, but he can’t change the fact that John McCain is promising four more years of President Bush’s flawed and failed policies on everything from energy security and the economy to the war in Iraq.”

Mr Cowboyneok I hope you are correct. But I have no faith in anything from coming from DC. Given the fact that he is were he tells me has cut deals with the real power brokers, the international financiers. I am very cynical about politics and especially politicians. As far as I am concerned Obama is status quo. I saw a speech he gave backing away from changing NAFTA a flip flop on his position on free trade and NAFTA while campainging. There is no such thing as free trade. US corporations are exploiting cheap to slave labor, lax or no environmental policies etc.

Smith is downright incredible. He's peddling himself as a compassionate moderate, friendly sort of guy. One aspect of his campaign is that he trumpets his "firm stand against George Bush against the war in Iraq". I darned near lost my Rice Crispies when I heard that.

He's a sleaze and a weasel. OTOH, I haven't seen a Merkley campaign ad yet--Merkley should go after Smith's stupid lies.

sinclair's presser at the National Press Club called "single most stupefying event on any single day"

...now... on the other hand... we DO learn in the press conference that his lawyer, err... nee FORMER lawyer (he's been disbarred) has a very LARGE appendage (of course, I have to agree with him about the kilt views).

maybe the NPC rented him the space as comic relief?

Gordon Smith is probably mad that the repeal of the new gay laws here in Oregon aren't going to make it on the ballot in Nov. The opposition had to drop it because they couldn't get a name for it in time. July 3rd deadline. I'm sure any name they thought up sounded hate filled. Such as "repeal of gay rights" for one.
