If you strip out all the bullshit 'adjustments' the Bureau of Labor Statistics has made in the past three decades to manipulate the inflation and unemployment numbers, the 'misery index' is higher now than it was then. Repigs used to crow constantly about high inflation and unemployment to condemn Carter as a failure.

What's really, really disturbing is I don't think he's even close to finished yet. He's not giving any consideration to retirement at all.

What they don't say is...we've created this mess ourselves, with our constant lust for profits, shipping jobs out of the US to countries who don't pay attention to what labor needs, where there are no unions, no safety measures, no environmental controls.
So, when is the revolution again? America, the land of sheeple, the country that bows down to money and power at the expense of themselves. Sellouts of consumerism. Just let me get my McMansion, my SUV, my trinkets and designer clothes, and STFU already.
