AMERICAblog: Virginia GOP convention delegates cancel guide book order after they "discover" it has a section on gay nightlife

  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
No John, that's not it at all.... they were afraid that NO ONE would show up to the actual convention, instead they'd all be partying at the local gay haunts... gotta keep SOME asses in their convention seats...
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Well, think about it. You can only fit so many people in a bathroom stall.......especially if one of them has a wide stance. There's just something about the Twin Cities that Republicans can't resist.

Saw Christ on CNN a little while ago and made me wonder whether the marriage is no longer needed.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
By the way, he wishes his name was "Christ" but it is "Crist." I'm sure he will be announcing after much thought they decided they weren't ready for the "commitment," or he will do like the closeted gay men in the Virginia Delegation. He will marry, sleep around on his wife, and have anonymous sex in public places ala Larry Craig then act all outrageous regarding benign things like "gay guides" and rail about same sex anything.
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
Are they afraid they'll fall for some "gay" person's advances? ;-) What a bunch of sick ones.

The link goes to a story about Fournier and AP?
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Stories like this are why the Log Cabin Republicans just confuse me???
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Yes, for all their talk they are trying to change the party from the inside, I still believe they are "Jews for Hitler" types and simply opportunists or gay trust fund babies who are worried Uncle Sam is going to tax them more.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Absolutely, I used to work with one, the biggest, nelliest, flaming gay guy I know (I'm gay myself) and he was just in love with Bush and a die hard Republican...

He was just so strange...Bush/Cheney stickers, rah rah on the war, it was just odd. I tried talking to him but he was closed minded and just believed the Republican party was the greatest thing ever.

    Go figure...

Palin is going to kill a moose with her bare hands at the convention though according to KO. Fear not.

In other news...Michelle Obama Surprises LGBT Luncheon

while it's amusing to poke fun at the lunacy of the repubs, maybe a bit of time spent talking about the good that our side is doing would be time better spent.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
not really, but by all means go ahead (and talk about the good we are doing)

Bashing Republicans is good for the soul.

OT, but everyone that worked with Governor Palin said she announced being 7 months pregnant and never showed.

Rumor has it that the baby belongs to her unmarried daughter.

It's possible to show less the more kids you have (and btw dear, it's a vagina, not a clown car). The article in the Anchorage paper insinuates pretty hard that the kid very well might not be hers (plus, what fundy mother doesn't tell the world as soon as she gets squirted- FOR THE FIFTH TIME?)

From within their sheltered fantasy bubbleworld, the GOP can erase all teh gay & lesbian from the face of the map. In reality, not so much.

I wanted to look up 'Log Cabin Members from Virginia,' but my search engine threw up.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Funny, but I heard the Virginia delegation received their order, tore out the gay guide, distributed it to all the "closeted" family values Republicans in the Virginia delegation and then RETURNED THEM IN BULK complaining about the "queer section!"

Don't you know all the Virginia married Repuglican fags will be stealing the guides from other delegations when they get there?

" 'Feminists For Life,' because our old name, 'Feminists for Forcing Women Who've Been Raped To Carry Their Attacker's Progeny To Term' didn't have as good a ring to it."

This selection "doesn't pass the giggle test"!

    Heh.

Reasons for Endorsement: "Alaska House Speaker John Harris (R): “She’s old enough. She’s a U.S. citizen.”

"She is also reported to be carbon-based, with a pulse, and walks erect."

CNN has 3 pundits commenting on the nomination and 2 of them are FAR right Republicans (1 Evangelical) and the only remaining person is James Carville and these days I just don't know how to classify him.

CNN now officially sucks (that would make a great bumper sticker)

Sarah Palin.. hilarious. She's Rush Limbaugh's wet dream.. Ann Coulter if she was attractive..

I abhor the thought of gay-on-gay bashing....but in this case.... her hair stylist should be shot, summarily.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
The bigger the hair, the closer to god.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
I have been fighting the tempation to speak on the woman's appearance. But since you brought it up.....WTF? how does she get to be 44 and not have wrinkles? her hair color is OK...but the style. it looks like a waitress at Denny's.

Palin paid a guy $10,000 as a severance for 2 weeks work?

That doesn't pass the smell test!

Is that all? Seriously, people who make money we can't even imagine, pay their people off well. But yet we cannot raise the minimum wage, go figure.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
This is totally O/T but would it kill the MSM and Americans to give 2 shits about people in our own backyard.

"Hurricane Gustav is moving towards the Cayman Islands as it continues to threaten Cuba and the US Gulf Coast. The storm has already killed at least 71 people as it passed through the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica."

What is it about Minneapolis? Are they embarassed about the pending arrival of so many Rightie-Tighteies? or are they like that in Minneapolis? Minnesota still has the anti-sodomy law on the books . . . maybe the thrill of behaving naughty is what draws the Repubicans in? I don't get it but I do get that Minneapolis is liberal-no-more.
