Coming soon to a Democracy near you: The Landslide Punitive Election of 2008.

    Don't hope. Don't pray. Vote.

Well, the gap certainly is narrowing. And Chambliss deserves to lose after his shameful shenanigans against Cleland.

In NC, here is also a vet, Daniel Johnson, who is running against that little prick, Patrick McHenry, in my district, and of course, I voted for Johnson today. Johnson lost parts of both legs on the USS Blue Ridge off S. Korea saving another man's life (he walks with the new techno prostheses) and seems to be doing pretty well in this district, and he's a prosecutor with some good ideas, whereas McHenry is just an ignorant asshole. I'm hoping that everyone who voted for Obama voted straight Dem tickets. McHenry can't go to hell fast enough for me.

Oh, and Johnson was an aide to Max Cleland in DC.

Great ad. It should play well in Georgia.

This is pretty big - Georgia could be seat #60. NH looks safe, which gives us 55; AK should turn our way, now that the R is a convicted felon=56; OR is polling in our favor=57; if Kay Hagan can pull it out in NC against Elizabeth Dole we're at 58; Al Franken in MN would make 59; it's all about getting either GA, KY, or MS - they're all maybe in reach. Jim Martin could be the filibuster-breaker.

In a dream world, getting two of those three would mean we'd have 60 even WITHOUT LIEBERMAN!!!! That, to me, is the shoot-the-moon scenario. We'll know sometime after 8:00 next Tuesday...

Sullivan on Early Voting In Georgia:

Unprecedented numbers: over 36% of the total 2004 vote. And a very heavy black turnout. I really don't think we have fully absorbed what a massive - and I mean massive - black turnout could do in this election.

I bought 150 little paper flags today. I want to put them around my new Obama sign in my yard (the first one was stolen), the day after the election. I so want to believe in the American people.

Good for you Marha...that's great !!

Yes Grandma, I love my country, like Obama loves his country. I am not going to let the rethugs take that away from me.

Coat your Obama signs and metal posting with lots and lots of Vaseline. Maybe mix some indelible dark blue ink in there to match the color. Get the thieves hot little hands yucky.

Is there a more despicable person in the US Senate today than Saxby Chamberless? What a first class anti-vet asshole. And all the redneck veterans will vote for him like they did the first time. How ridiculous.

    How about Saxby Chamberpot?

Chambliss is a classic yellow elephant. He avoided the draft and Vietnam for medical reasons ("bad knees") but when he campaigned in Georgia he bragged about being involved in "community athletics" for two decades -- really inconsistent bio when it comes to his own health and fitness. I hope Chambliss loses. His problems with his own party began over immigration reform (he was booed at a GOP gathering in GA in 2006). I certainly wouldn't want all of the bad Karma he must have for running those despicable ads against Max Cleland.

Georgian here -- voting Obama and Martin. Times are changing, and I'm ecstatic to be a part of it.

You know, with global warming and all, hurrycanes are getting further inland...
