AMERICAblog: VoteVets wants censure of "Young Chickenhawk" Congressman Patrick McHenry for endangering the lives of U.S. soldiers in Iraq

  • Rab · 1 year ago
But if McHenry puts on a flag lapel pin its all good again. What a dumbass.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Oh sure Patrick "two bit security guard" McHenry will be censured about the same time they impeach Bush. Nothing, but nothing ever happens to these Republicans. Taking lessons from their supreme commander, they break laws, spout derogatory remarks and walk away without so much as a public condemnation from Congress.

"Among the revealing moments: A former executive vice president and board member challenges store managers in 2004 to continue his work opposing unionization. Male managers in drag lead thousands of co-workers in the company's corporate cheer. In another meeting, managers mock foolish or dangerous use of a product sold in its stores. In 1991, founder Sam Walton describes Hillary Clinton, then a Wal-Mart director, as "one of us.""

Republicans are useless slime. They are not human. Their impending extinction will be for the betterment of all mankind.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
Now here's an idea ... MoveOnOrg should do an ad against this and say something along the lines: "You thought we cared about the Senate's actiona against our General BETRAYUS ad, how's this about the Patrick McTraitor? Here's what we have to say ..."

    Attack, attack, attack these jerks!

It seems to me that the number of comments has dropped off and some people have disappeared. I know it took me a while to figure out how to comment with disqus but I don't understand why some don't seem to be around anymore. Does anyone see tireironchef or glasses guy anymore?
  • Cindy411 · 1 year ago
Kerry: "It seems to me that the number of comments has dropped off and some people have disappeared. I know it took me a while to figure out how to comment with disqus but I don't understand why some don't seem to be around anymore."

How much easier could it be? You just register and post. It takes all of 20-30 seconds tops. I would bet that a lot of the disappeared were Hillbots who knew we were on to them and their absurd defenses of that witch. In the long run we're better off without them. Moderate Republicans and Independents who support Obama will far outnumber the crazy Hillbots.
  • EdSikov · 1 year ago
Yeah, yeah, yeah - he's an asshole. But will spending energy on him bring the war to a quicker end? I don't think so. This is just politics, and the American people by and large don't care - about him, about the war, about anything but AMERICAN IDOL and those basketball games.
  • Cindy411 · 1 year ago
No doubt Hillary is going to defend McHenry. I'm so sick of both Clintons supporting the Iraq bloodshed and then attacking people like Barack Obama with racist innuendo. Bill and Hillary Clinton need to take their partisan politics of hate outside the Democrat Party. I'm sick of both of them and their record of failure.
  • EdSikov · 1 year ago
Hellscan sucked. Disqus sucks worse. The war goes on, the economy has tanked, scoundrels rule.... I hate everything.

    OT

Rev. Don Wildmon, founder and chairman of the American Family Association, says McDonald's' success can be attributed to their choice to market to one American institution.

"McDonald's caters to the family," Wildmon says. "They put emphasis on the children."

But the pro-family leader says the world's largest fast-food restaurant chain is branching out into a new business -- promoting the homosexual agenda.

"McDonald's ... has given a significant amount of money, I might mention, to become a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce," Wildmon explains. "Among the many other things that the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce promotes is hate crimes [legislation], the ENDA [Employment Non-Discrimination Act]. [T]hey're dedicated to pushing the homosexual agenda."

The American Family Association wants to talk with McDonald's, but the company is not returning Wildmon's calls.

    Kudos to McDonalds !

I just spent an hour driving home from Pittsburgh. I listened to the replay of the Hearing on C-span radio. I was struck by a number of points. 1. Why are we asking Crocker and Petraeus anything. The government sets policy and these two turds carry it out. Get Bush, Cheney and Gates there to explain why we have spent almost $700 Billion and are estimated to spend anther $1.3 Trillion before its over. That does not include re equipping the planes, helicopters, tanks, humvees. This of course does not include the health benefits for the maimed. 2. They can't answer a simple question with a simple answer. They do not possess the skills necessary to determine anything. Crocker can't complete a sentence without at least 20 umhhhs, aaaahhs. 3. Who the fuck cares what they think. 71% of Americans want the troops home. Congress needs to act and act now. They told us there were 400,000 Iraqi's trained well guess what time for these people to take control of their country until who ever the new Saddam Hussein comes forward and they go back to life before the invasion and occupation. 4. The GOP constantly talk about winning. What the fuck are we going to win. We are bankrupt as a country. We have pissed away our grandchildren's future. The bridges, roads and infrastructure and in a shambles. There are no jobs left, all the companies are being given corporate welfare and these ass wipes sit there bullshitting us. There is nothing to win. If McCain and a few ass holes are worried about a loss well guess what McCain we lost Vietnam and we didn't all committ suicide, but if they had stopped before Nixon had expanded into Cambodia and Laos we would have had 20,000 less dead. Wake up America if your version of living the dream is our men and women getting killed in Iraq, well enlist and go live it with them.

This Pig mchenry is getting on my nerves. Of course, since he's a repulsican, his conduct should not surprise me. Don't expect his goper slimy peers to censure the Pig. They are mostly chickenhawks and would NEVER put to shame one of their own.

Don't forget this pig was the same that called a "someone" working @ the green zone a two-bit security guard.
    http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/04/rep-mchenry...

Of course, the people working in the pig's office claim this was a "foreign" contractor. I don't believe the pig.

I miss Haloscan. This Disqus stuff makes me feel almost as miserable as this kidney stone I am currently passing, and that's a hell of a lot of pain.

Glad to read the other comments about this here new comment system. I don't like it because it really makes following a thread/conversation very difficult. Comments appear in various places along the thread and maybe this inhibits the old conversation/community feel the old system often achieved.
I like the avatar capability but dislike the "clout" numbers...silly emulating celebrity culture on this teensy scale much less the distasteful aspect of some sort of competition. I'm no luddite but I've some ishk-cues wit dis-cuss.

Doug Denneny is running for Congress in Virginia's 11th and he's also got footage of combat during the Iraq war posted on his campaign website (dougforcongress.com). I also saw a press release that said his campaign staff is accusing people of being unpatriotic if they criticize his campaign about anything because Doug's "a war hero" and you shouldn't criticize "a war hero"

    Trove of Videos Vexes Wal-Mart
    Producer Peddles Clips To Lawyers and Unions;
    Mrs. Clinton on Stage
    By GARY MCWILLIAMS
    April 9, 2008; Page A1

LENEXA, Kan. -- For nearly 30 years, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. employed a video-production company here to capture footage of its top executives, sometimes in unguarded moments. Two years ago, the retailing giant stopped using the tiny company.

At first, the decision threw Flagler Productions Inc. into a panic. Now it's Wal-Mart that's squirming.

In recent months, Flagler has opened its trove of some 15,000 Wal-Mart tapes to the outside world, with an eye toward selling clips. The material is proving irresistible to everyone from business historians and documentary filmmakers to plaintiffs lawyers and union organizers.
Since the '70s, Wal-Mart employed a Kansas video-production company to capture its corporate meetings and culture. But since that relationship has ended, things have changed. Paul Lin reports.

Among the revealing moments: A former executive vice president and board member challenges store managers in 2004 to continue his work opposing unionization. Male managers in drag lead thousands of co-workers in the company's corporate cheer. In another meeting, managers mock foolish or dangerous use of a product sold in its stores. In 1991, founder Sam Walton describes Hillary Clinton, then a Wal-Mart director, as "one of us."

To bullitt, mirth, prezz, shirley: What happened to the option of having new comments on top or bottom. I don't see the option button. I have been trying for 30 min. to post, but disqus wouldn't let me. Kept asking me to login. Then when I did my username was already in use. WTF? Never, never thought I would miss haloscan. But it was much easier, even on a bad day. A lot of bloggers are missing. Disqus has made it a contest. Who can get the most points. Just like in Jr. High. Not for me.

Ya know who's the OPPOSITE of Patrick McHenry?

    Doug Tudor.

    Retired Navy Master Chief.

Flagwriter to CentCom Generals Franks and Abizaid and Admiral Fallon.

    Opposed to the war.

Opposed to the ongoing rape of our liberties.

Opposed to Adam Putnam in FL-12.

    Running.

    As a Democrat.

    Come help.

The Huntsville Times is reporting today that a colonel and two other GIs were killed in a mortatr attack to their gym in the Baghdad Green Zone two days ago. Does anybody know if this is the same gym McHeny wasn't allowed to enter because some "two bit security guard" wouldn't let him in? If so, does he now have blood on his hands?

Patrick "two bit" McHenry could enlist, and he wouldn't even have a problem with the "don't ask, don't tell" policy as he is so far into his closet. Some have asked, but McHenry sure isn't telling.

it is nice to see that the truth about that pea-brain mchenry is circulating.

"wouldn't let me in to the workout place, blah blah blah blah."

    Completely OT:

Gerry Goldstein, a San Antonio lawyer representing the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also told a judge that the search of the temple in the sect's West Texas compound is analogous to a law enforcement search of the Vatican or other holy places.

    Bullahshitah.

The police action is proper and I for one am cheering them.

    Prezz,

I'll admit upfront that I'm impaired tonight, but, Honey, tell me how your comments are appearing at various places on the threads. I have set my option to have new comments show up at the top of the thread by the comment box and they always do. You aren't clicking the "Reply" at a comment, are you? That's a no-no.

You are new here, so it is understandable that you don't realize we miss certain commenters...none of whom are Hillbots.

PS: There is little-to-nothing noble about McCain's military service. You make a mistake to comparing his to the service of our military now serving in Iraq.

    ShirleyGoodnessanMercy,

Oh, you poor thing. I've experienced this and it isn't good. I wish you a quick resolution and recovery.

Come election night, especially in Nov, we'll all be singing praises of Disqus which unlike brokedown Halo will be here and operational.

    Prezz!

Notice my "clout" points are now -220. Depending on how one interprets that, I'm either very liked or seriously disliked. *yawn*

The thing about Disqus is we can let it break apart a community or we can make it work. I vote for the 1st option.
