If Obama wanted a little mansex on the DL, I'd like to think he could better than this skanky drifter.
  • cagefreebrown · 1 year ago

HA!!! yesterday the wagons were circles over a damned MOVEON.ORG ad!!! holy crap!

    national press club. pffft.
  • kladinvt · 1 year ago
Maybe the National Press Club should invite Gannon so he can fill all in on what exactly he was doing during the 12 White House sleepovers in 2003 & 2004?

But I'm sure they would continue to censor that story too!
  • acuppajo · 1 year ago
Gannon is there! According to E & P's Greg Mitchell, Gannon/Guckert is a member in good standing and serves on two committees. Go figure.

A fine example of the type of people who are drawn to the GOP. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

Here is a different guy (with a rather odd sexual fetish) trying to smear Obama exposed by Sadly, No.

    Another typical NON-WEALTHY GOPer--Ignorant, dishonest,
    semi-literate, criminal.

I swear, there must be some gargantuan assemby-line somewhere
    that cranks out these types.

Throw in some snips & snails & rat tails & mosquito probosci,
a little moldy feces, a large dollop of hate, and no brain cells to speak of.

    VOILA!!

    American Garbage.

I'm waiting for the inevitable Limbaugh-esque rant: "So it turns out that this guy never spent time with Obama at all! Can you BELIEVE Obama associates himself with such liars? And he's running for President!"
  • HelenaMontana · 1 year ago
Why not rent the room at the press club and expose this guy to...the press!
  • TomsOld · 1 year ago
Sounds like the National Press Club is about as credible as the National Blogers Assoc.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Man, that Indian technical support guy "David" is the best. He sent me a new optical scanner for my two year old laptop, plus all new dvd operating system programs, the works. And it was like here, BOOM, the next day. And you know why? Cause I was sweet to him over the phone. That's why...
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    he's in a great mood...

he's SO happy to have my job at 1/4 of the pay... that he'll do anything to keep it.

I'm sure he'd have offered oral sex if it were possible from Bangalore.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Don't say that. No, he was really sweet. He didn't have to send me all this but we made...hard to explain, but some sort of connection between us. And I know you're going to be cynical and make a joke, but it was real.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    I believe you, really!

I mean, it must be real... hell, he's only making $5/day so... who would act sweet for $5/day??
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
besides... you're American. he probably figures, with the way our economy is going, you're in the same Caste as he is.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Why does this make me think of a straight guy leaving the bar and telling his buddy "I think that waitress really liked me!"
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Obama accusers and harassers are fucking nuts and psycho and should all be locked up for the public's safety and themselves.

Can I make a citizen's arrest for the city of Pueblo?

Isn't there some kind of resoprosity with law officials?

Seems like a good catch for DC to hold this guy after he speaks.

We spent several hours over the phone together, and, I don't know but we made a connection. Each of us on opposite sides of the planet. It was real, man.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I wouldn't mind dating an Indian guy than an American guy. They're not all weighed down with the cynicism baggage they drag into the relationship.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
its called the Caste system... you're born into it. so, if you're poor? nobody to blame but your birthright.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I don't know if he was injured but he was really sweet and patient. Heck, we spent several hours on the phone together.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago

    Such an honorable institution.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
Hey John?? you think you can get me into the National Press Club? I've been thinking about getting into porn to pay the bills as of late.

would that be enough for credentials, or should I rip off a charity first?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Jeff Gannon has a blog on the National Press Club's Web site, so I guess anything goes there.

They both sound like Al-CIAda assets to me. You know, like Osama Bin Missing. They ignored their criminal records, break them out and bring them out when they need them. You know, like the Taliban in Afghanistan that recently broke out of jail. Did the guy that assassinated Martin Luther King Jr break out of jail? My mother always said THE DEVIL HAS NO NEW TRICKS!!

I'm a little disappointed with all the press the left-leaning bloggers have been giving Sinclair over the last week or so. There has been no coverage on the right at all -- not from Drudge, Hannity, Coulter, or Limbaugh. It should tell you all you need to know about this guy's credibility when none of the slime merchants will even touch Sinclair. But all this publicity for him is threatening to make him a real story.

I have been following this for a while in the fringes of the web, and that is where it should have stayed. Sinclair craves publicity, and we're giving it to him. There are hundreds of press conferences at the National Press Club every year and many of them don't garner any noteworthy press at all. That Face on Mars crank Richard Hoagland trumpeted his NPC press conference as something that would shock the world when he announced it last October. How many of you even know who that guy is? Nobody? Well, his press conference at the NPC obviously worked out great for him...

Sinclair is scum. He has been all his adult life. His allegations don't deserve to be covered at all, let alone by those who don't believe him. He's never going to just go away now because he's discovered a way to earn the money and publicity he craves (and spends it on limos and $500/night luxury hotels even as he cashes his disability ans social security checks).

He is a troll, and needs to be treated as such.

If he does become a right-wing attack vehicle, we already know all there is to know about him to destroy his case and his credibility.

So unless and until that happens, please let's just go back to ignoring him.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
When someone books a press conference at the Natl Press Club, it was decided that it's better to blow him out of the water with facts, than to let nasty rumors simmer, Swift Boat style.
  • tacitus · 1 year ago
Well, I guess we'll just have to agree to differ. I just think that people don't realize how much of a joke Sinclair is. This is no Paul Jones or Gennifer Flowers we're talking about. He's a complete nutter, in part claiming that Obama may have ordered hit jobs on his ex-gay lovers at Rev. Wright's church. This doesn't even rise up to the level of the faked "whitey" tape. Hell, Pastor Manning is his "special guest" at the press conference today!

He doesn't have an ounce of evidence for any of his claims and he is a proven pathological liar. Publicity is like oxygen to him and suffocation from that supply is all that is needed and all that he deserves.
  • tacitus · 1 year ago
This is the sort of news coverage the recent spate of blogging on Sinclair has wrought:

    http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/06/intern...

In the end it probably won't matter, but I just hate to see anything that increases the risk that enemies of Obama will use Sinclair to slime him.
  • clytemnestra · 1 year ago
Well that's nothing unusual. The state of Colorado sent me a letter saying they couldn't find my ex-husband who owed several years of child support - so they were closing my case.. I went on google, Dex White Pages, and Superpages, find person and found him using all three sites.

    Total time: <5 minutes

See -- much ago about nothing:

'According to our reporter: No police showed up.

'Most people there were young foreigners.

    'Mostly young bloggers.

'Nothing was credulous [ed: probably means 'credible'].

    'No proof was offered.

'Medical records would go on his website but you would have to pay for it.

    'No driver mentioned.

    'No “proof” whatsoever.

'Asked OBAMA campaign to release phone records.

'No security people were there at all.

'Only questions were lame….why should we believe you, etc.

'Our guy claims it to be the most anti-climatic, unbelievable thing he has ever seen. Says it was really a bunch of crap.

'When asked about his new CORROBORATING evidence, Larry said it was “forthcoming”. '
